"What were you about to show me?" 'Everything's closed by now. It doesn't seem like there's anywhere to go.'
She had no idea what they were doing here.
"Oh, this." Opal took a button-like object from his pocket. "The view is good here."
He handed it to her. "Press it?"
Rosalind pressed it.
Lights converged from an unknown source, and then fireworks began to explode in the sky, forming shapes meant just for her.
After the fireworks, countless sky lanterns floated up, their flickering lights brightening and dimming one after another. It was utterly magical.
