She decided to wait for Alaric Davenport to return before doing anything.
She leaned against the door, listening to the voices outside...
"The people from AuraFrost Group just left. Won't we be too obvious coming here now?"
"What does it matter? Mr. Fairchild sent us, and he's paying us double."
"Why would Mr. Fairchild offer twice as much as AuraFrost Group?"
"We're just here to do a job and get paid, who cares why!" The speaker paused for a moment before continuing, "But I heard it has something to do with The Davenport Group. Forget it. We just take the money. We don't really get how these rich people think."
"The Davenport Group and AuraFrost Group have a deep partnership. If something happens to AuraFrost, I bet The Davenport Group will be affected too."
Rosalind Lowell's heart clenched. She thought of Alaric Davenport. 'Is that why he's been gone all day?'
"It's just AuraFrost Group. They can't touch The Davenport Group."
