"Oh, don't even talk about him. He scared me half to death."
"That was my first time seeing a Beastman in Half-beastification. It was terrifying." He Bai Bai didn't answer the question directly, putting on a horrified expression and covering her mouth in shock.
But Shi Li was about to throw up from listening to this phony, "green tea" act.
'How did the original owner ever become best friends with someone like this?'
"If you ask me, Lili, wouldn't it be better to have one true love for a lifetime?"
"Look at you, with all those Beast Husbands. See what a mess it's become?" Seeing that Shi Li didn't respond, He Bai Bai found it strange. Normally, Shi Li would have been very worried and would have immediately tried to comfort her.
After all, Shi Li usually hung on her every word, almost like a fool.
"Like my Amman and me, we get along so harmoniously. At the very least, Amman would never lay a hand on me."
"I've never even seen him in his full Beastification." He Bai Bai said smugly. Just as she was getting into her gloating, the door to the hospital room was pushed open by a strange man.
It wasn't until the man looked up that Shi Li recognized him. 'Isn't this the original owner's White Moonlight?'
"Amman! What are you doing here?"
"Didn't you say the Queen Mother summoned you to the palace for something today?" He Bai Bai's attention was instantly captured by Feldman, and she no longer spared Shi Li a single glance.
Shi Li, on the other hand, coolly sized up Feldman, finding the original owner's obsession with him rather baffling.
It wasn't that Feldman was ugly; he had a handsome face, and even bore a slight resemblance to Jensen. They were brothers, after all. Even though they were half-brothers with the same mother, it wasn't surprising they looked somewhat alike.
Especially when he lowered his gaze, Shi Li felt a momentary daze.
But in comparison, she already had Jensen by her side. Why was she so fixated on Feldman, who was already married?
Besides, Jensen was a Golden Dragon, a more auspicious lineage, while Feldman was of the common Ink Dragon bloodline within the Dragon Clan.
'The original owner was really treating a treasure like trash.'
"It was nothing important. She was just asking when we plan on having a child." Feldman put on a gentle expression and rubbed He Bai Bai's head, but his eyes were fixed squarely on Shi Li in the hospital bed.
He Bai Bai, meanwhile, was lost in this tender trap, snuggling in Feldman's arms, completely oblivious to the fact that his gaze wasn't on her at all.
Shi Li was a little stunned.
Her inheritance of the original owner's memories was limited. She didn't know if it was because she hadn't been in this world for long enough, or if some of the original memories were lost because of her arrival. In any case, Shi Li couldn't understand why Feldman was staring at her like that.
Seeing no reaction from Shi Li, Feldman's expression turned to one of confusion.
"Oh, stop it with the talk about children. To say such things in front of Lili, you have no shame." He Bai Bai blushed, pouting as she playfully tapped Feldman's chest.
"Lili has five Beast Husbands. I'm sure talk like this is small potatoes to her." Feldman's tone was passive-aggressive, seeming to mock Shi Li for being promiscuous.
'But for the original owner, a descendant of nobility, having five Beast Husbands is very common. What's uncommon is having five Beast Husbands who are all rebels. It's a perfectly good home, yet not a single one of them is willing to stay in it.'
"That's right, Lili. When are you guys planning on having a baby?"
"Maybe if you have a little fruit of your love, they'll finally focus on family."
"You're not still taking precautions because you're actually still thinking about my Amman, are you?" He Bai Bai suddenly dropped her frail act, a hint of threat in her eyes as she looked at Shi Li.
But Shi Li was being completely wronged! From what she could remember, it seemed she hadn't actually slept with any of her five Beast Husbands, so where did this talk of "precautions" even come from?
There was never a need for such a step!
'She was saddled with a reputation for being lecherous, but she hadn't enjoyed a single one of the actual benefits!'
So unfair. Shi Li felt incredibly wronged.
"You yourself said he's yours, so why are you still looking at me like that?" 'This couple is so strange. One of them claims they're deeply in love, while the other supposedly despised the original owner's pursuit of him.'
'How come He Bai Bai doesn't seem as confident about Feldman as she sounds, while Feldman seems desperate to get my attention?'
"Bai Bai, go ask the nurse how long we need to stay for observation. I'm a little tired from the journey here; I want to sit for a bit." Feldman gently cupped He Bai Bai's face, looking as if he loved her to death. He even gave her an intimate kiss after he finished speaking.
It was so painfully cringey that Shi Li felt physically uncomfortable watching it.
"Okay, you sit down and rest then. I'll go ask the nurse. It shouldn't be too long, since Lili is already awake." He Bai Bai, completely lost in his tender trap, was tricked into leaving the room by such a clumsy excuse.
When only the two of them were left in the room, Shi Li felt extremely awkward.
'There's no denying it, this Feldman has a certain greasy quality to him.'
Shi Li couldn't help but turn her face away and look out the window.
'I'm a little worried about where they took Jensen.'
"I didn't come see you for just three days, and now you're throwing a tantrum at me?" The mattress dipped as Feldman actually pressed one knee directly onto the hospital bed.

"So naughty." Feldman interpreted Shi Li's actions as her playing a game with him. He lowered his voice and reached out to touch her face.
Shi Li jumped right off the bed, dodging his wandering hand.
'So what's the situation here? Is Feldman cheating on his wife, or was the original owner cheating on her husbands???'
'Wait, this plot doesn't match the memories at all!'
'Why did I have to lose such an important part of the memory?'
"Are you crazy? By seniority, you should be calling me sister-in-law!" Shi Li was about to explode. 'How does this White Moonlight have none of the aloof dignity a White Moonlight is supposed to have?'
'What happened to the tragic, unrequited love story? Turns out the White Moonlight was having a dark, sordid, secret affair with the original owner!'
"Where's Jensen? I'm going to find him." She had nothing more to say to the man in front of her. She wasn't the original owner. For reasons of both emotion and logic, there was no way she could get involved with Feldman.
Besides, in Shi Li's opinion, Jensen was quite a bit more handsome than Feldman anyway.
"Tch. Did he beat you stupid?"
"Since when were you and my little brother so lovey-dovey? There's a limit to throwing tantrums."
"I only neglected you for a few days. Playing this kind of reverse psychology has gone too far. It won't work on me." Feldman, however, failed to notice Shi Li's anger, instead assuming she was just throwing a little fit.
After all, the previous Shi Li had always hung on his every word. Feldman had no reason to doubt his own charm.
Other males had to rack their brains to please their Female Master, and even had to compete with other males.
He was different. He could string along two females and have them fight over him.
Who wouldn't be confident in his shoes?
"Shut up! I don't care what we had before, that's all in the past. From now on, let's just live our own lives. Don't come to me with this kind of nonsense." Shi Li's face fell, her displeasure obvious.
