According to lore, the death of Riko Amanai, the Star Plasma Vessel, caused the following events in the future. Technically, if that event was interrupted, then the future would just be ordinary, which diverges from the canon.
While I don't know how Riko Amanai's death caused the chain effect, the fans in the fandom give her and Toji importance. Damn, I should have looked through it thoroughly. The curse of the JJK fan.
Anyway, the reason I didn't stop that event is I didn't have the power to stop a monster like Toji. If I got the Toji personality correct, then he would kill me if I were a problem, and even somehow if I managed to kill Toji, then I would come on Kenjaku's radar. Which is a bad thing. Who knows if he finds me obstructing his plan? He would send a special-level curse to level me.
That is something I don't want currently. Just because I know bits and pieces of the future doesn't mean the world will move according to my will. If my presence becomes evident, then Kenjaku will integrate me into his plan also. For a 1000-year megalomaniac, it isn't that hard.
For now, I should heal and train properly and increase my strength.

Ever since the death of Toji Zenin, one thing had changed across all of Japanese jujutsu society.
A name. One name.
A name spoken in clan meetings, whispered among independent sorcerers, discussed in schools, and repeated with equal parts awe and fear.
Satoru Gojo, The strongest.
After killing the Ghost of Zenin and surviving what should have been an impossible encounter, Gojo's reputation spread like wildfire across Japan. Stories of the Six Eyes, Limitless, and his absurd talent reached every corner of the jujutsu world. Some called him a prodigy. Some called him a monster. Others simply called him the future.
And unfortunately, The Zenin clan noticed.
Of course they did. How could they not?
The rise of the Gojo Clan directly threatened the balance between the great families. Influence, contracts, political power, missions, prestige—everything shifted the moment one clan suddenly produced a living natural disaster.
And the Zenin Clan was not the kind of family that sat quietly while another rose above them.
Which was exactly why I currently found myself sitting in the clan's meeting chamber, surrounded by old men who smelled like expensive robes, alcohol, and generational trauma.
I hated this room.
The atmosphere was heavy, formal, and suffocating. The elders sat in a semi-circle like ancient vultures, their eyes fixed on me with a mixture of greed, pride, and expectation. At the center sat Naobito Zenin, lazily resting one arm against his knee, though his eyes remained sharp.
One elder cleared his throat.
"The emergence of Satoru Gojo has changed the balance of power."
No kidding.
Another elder nodded solemnly. "The Gojo Clan's influence has increased beyond projections."
Projections? Of course these fossils used business terminology now.
A third elder leaned forward.
"Which is why the Zenin clan must respond."
I already didn't like where this was going.
Then Naobito looked directly at me and smiled.
Damn him.
"Our answer," he said calmly, "is you."
I stared back. "…Excuse me?"
One of the elders puffed his chest with pride, like he personally raised me.
"At only fourteen years of age, Naoya Zenin has already accomplished what most first-grade sorcerers never achieve."
Another continued immediately.
"He defeated a Grade 1 curse."
Another.
"He defeated a Grade 1 sorcerer."
Another.
"He possesses projection sorcery at an exceptional level."
Another.
"He may soon rival even clan legends."
Alright. That one was pushing it. I leaned back slightly, already knowing something awful was coming.
And then Naobito dropped it casually. "A newly discovered Special Grade curse has appeared."
"..."
"Congratulations," he said with a smirk. The elders all nodded in approval.
"By unanimous vote…"
My eye twitched crazily.
"…You have been selected to exorcise it."
For a full five seconds, I said nothing, and then I slowly looked around the room.
At the elders. At Naobito. At the smiling bastards who had apparently mistaken me for someone suicidal, and then I pointed at myself.
"Special Grade?"
Naobito nodded. "Special Grade."
I stared at him then at the ceiling and then back at him.
"…You old men are really trying to kill me."
