Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

[Greek Mythology] Night

Act.04

Act.04

Among the four primordial gods, Tartarus was the most powerful, Gaia and Erebus were roughly equal, and Nyx was the weakest. Gaia, when she was on the earth, was at the peak of her power, her boundless earth divine power surging throughout the world—

Mountains rapidly rose from the earth, the atmosphere in the sky gathered into vortexes, spinning wildly, and the oceans at the earth's borders surged with towering waves.

Erebus and Tartarus appeared above Gaia's temple the instant the cataclysmic change occurred.

"What's going on?"

Erebus's face was grave. The rampaging primordial divine power had thrown the laws of the entire world into chaos, and earth divine power continued to overflow from Gaia's temple.

"I sense the power of Eros," Tartarus said coldly. "It seems our little brother has done something good."

"Eros?" Erebus hadn't expected this to be related to his newborn brother.

"It's not just Eros." Tartarus looked up at the sky, his gaze piercing through the turbulent atmosphere. "The night is changing too."

Erebus's expression changed. Tartarus's words made him realize he too felt the fluctuations in the divine power of the night. It was only because of the distance and the immense power Gaia unleashed that people had overlooked Nyx in the sky.

"Go to Nyx's temple," Tartarus told Erebus. "Leave the problems on Earth to me."

Erebus nodded and vanished from the earth in an instant.

Eros now regretted it. Being at the center of the divine power explosion, he felt the impact far greater than anyone else.

Why, why is there such a huge difference in power between us, both being primordial gods—

On one hand, he was shocked by Gaia's immense divine power; on the other hand, Eros felt a deep sense of injustice. Why is it that, despite being a primordial god, his power is so weak!

"Eros."

Tartarus's cold voice came from behind him. Eros turned around and saw the God of the Abyss walk in, unfazed by Gaia's raging divine power.

"Brother…"

Eros was somewhat afraid of this God of the Abyss. Tartarus was cold and indifferent to all other beings, only showing his soft side to his brothers and sisters.

However, Eros was not among these brothers and sisters.

"Did you do something to Gaia?"

It was clearly a question, yet Tartarus spoke with certainty.

"I…"

Before Eros could finish speaking, the divine power within the temple suddenly stopped. Then, three beams of light shot out from Gaia's body!

One soared into the sky, one plunged into the ocean, and the last merged into the mountains.

"This is…" Tartarus frowned. What had just flown out of Gaia's body was… a divine spark?

On the other hand—

Erebus frowned, staring at the tightly closed Temple of Night before him. Nyx's divine power was flowing continuously from within.

Nyx had closed his temple, something that had never happened before.

He thought for a moment, then decided to go in and see what was going on.

"Something terrible has happened! Host!" the system cried anxiously. "Your brother and future husband has stormed in!!"

Holy crap!

Why did they have to bring that up?!

Nyx was in tears. He had to suppress the surging divine power within him while simultaneously maintaining the seal on his temple to prevent the power from leaking out. He was completely immobilized.

"Host, I have some bad news for you."

The system suddenly calmed down.

"You…tell me…" Nix replied with difficulty.

"The system has detected the power of a god's birth. If my estimation is correct, Gaia should have already given birth to Uranus, Pontus, and Uria."

Gaia gave birth?

Holy crap, even the legendary ability to make someone pregnant with a glare isn't as powerful as Eros! What the hell is this? The pregnancy steps are skipped, she just gave birth?!

"The birth of the three gods of the sky, sea, and mountains signifies the beginning of a new pantheon," the system said solemnly. "The power of the laws will definitely find a way to accelerate this process."

"What…do you mean…"

"Erebus's dark godhood and the host's night godhood will definitely create a powerful attraction, causing the host and the god of darkness to give birth to gods!"

No way!

Nix wailed inwardly. He'd heard of forced blind dates and forced marriages, but what was this?! Skipping the first two steps and starting forced childbirth directly?!

"Under normal circumstances, the host could suppress this attraction entirely with their own willpower. But the host is now powerless to resist it."

"What about Erebus? He should be able to, right?!"

"Under normal circumstances, it would take both of you to suppress it together. Now that the host is kneeling, Erebus definitely can't hold on."

The system analyzed.

"The system only has one suggestion: remember to make a bed later, don't do it on the floor."

"Get out of here!"

"Nix!"

Erebus's voice came from outside the temple, and in an instant, he appeared before Nix.

"Are you alright?!"

He rushed anxiously to Nix's throne.

Nix struggled to raise his head, his blue eyes filled with lust. Erebus's body stiffened, feeling the fluctuation of his divine power.

"Heaven is against me!"

A wave of sorrow washed over Nix. He transformed his throne into a bed, hooked his arm around Erebus, and the two fell onto the bed.
