Chapter 31 – The Ceremony Begins

London – Watson Mansion
The grand ballroom shimmered beneath magnificent crystal chandeliers.
Business leaders from different countries filled the hall, their conversations blending with the soft music playing in the background.
At the entrance...
Keifer stood beside Kegan, Honey Ryder and Mr. Ryder, personally welcoming every guest.
"Welcome."
"Thank you for coming."
One by one, they congratulated him.
"Congratulations, Mr. Watson."
"We're looking forward to witnessing this historic day."
Keifer smiled politely.
"Thank you."
Just then...
Another luxury van stopped outside the mansion.
The doors opened.
Ci-N jumped out first.
"WOOO!"
"We're finally in London!"
David stepped out behind him, rubbing his eyes.
"...You're already embarrassing us."
Felix laughed.
"Nothing new."
Calix, Edrix, Mica, Freya, Rakhi and Ella followed.
Ella naturally slipped her hand into Aries' hand as they walked.
Aries smiled at her.
"Ready?"
She nodded.
"Always."
Finally...
Little Kerian climbed out of the van.
The moment he saw Keifer...
His face lit up.
"Kuya Keifer!"
Keifer turned around and immediately smiled.
He crouched down just in time for Kerian to throw his arms around him.
"You came."
Kerian grinned.
"Of course!"
"Today's your big day!"
Keifer laughed and gently ruffled his hair.
"Thank you."
Watching them...
Everyone smiled.
Ci-N folded his arms dramatically.
"Aww..."
"Can somebody hug me too?"
David glanced at him.
"...No."
The whole group burst into laughter.
Keifer shook his head.
"You guys haven't changed at all."
Felix smirked.
"And neither have you."
After greeting everyone, Keifer led Section E inside the mansion.
Inside the ballroom...
The students couldn't hide their amazement.
Ci-N looked around with sparkling eyes.
"This place is huge!"
Mica smiled.
"It's beautiful."
Freya nodded.
"It feels like a royal palace."
David quietly picked up a dessert.
"...The food looks expensive."
Ci-N immediately grabbed two plates.
"Then let's eat before someone stops us."
Felix laughed.
"You're unbelievable."
Near one side of the ballroom...
A woman wearing an elegant emerald-green gown quietly entered.
Ion.
She scanned the room...
Until her eyes landed on Angelo.
She froze.
Angelo slowly turned.
Their eyes met.
For a moment...
Everything else disappeared.
Ion slowly walked toward him.
"...Hello, Angelo."
Angelo smiled gently.
"It's been a long time."
She lowered her eyes.
"I'm sorry..."
"I should've fought harder back then."
Angelo looked at her quietly.
"We can't change the past."
Ion nodded sadly.
"I know."
After a brief silence...
Angelo smiled.
"But..."
"We can decide what happens next."
Ion looked up.
Hope slowly returned to her eyes.
"I'd like that."
"So would I."
A small smile appeared on both their faces.
A few moments later...
The lights inside the ballroom dimmed slightly.
Everyone turned toward the stage.
The host stepped forward.
"Ladies and gentlemen..."
"Welcome to Watson Enterprises' Inheritance Ceremony."
Applause echoed throughout the hall.
"Today marks the beginning of a new era for Watson Enterprises..."
"We are honoured to have distinguished guests from around the world joining us."
The audience applauded once again.
The host smiled.
"But before today's ceremony officially begins..."
"We would like to welcome a special representative..."
"...from Mariano Enterprises."
The ballroom became quiet.
Business leaders whispered among themselves.
"I heard the CEO couldn't attend."
"I wonder who they sent."
The large entrance doors slowly opened.
Footsteps echoed through the hall.
A young man walked inside wearing a perfectly tailored black suit.
He smiled confidently.
"...Sorry I'm late."
The entire hall froze.
Keifer's eyes widened.
"...Percy?"
Aries couldn't move.
"...No..."
Felix stared in complete disbelief.
"That's impossible..."
Ci-N's jaw dropped.
"...BRO?!"
David was fully awake.
"What..."
Mica covered her mouth.
Freya's eyes filled with shock.
Rakhi stood speechless.
Kerian looked around in confusion.
"...Who's Percy?"
Percy placed one hand in his pocket and flashed his familiar grin.
"Miss me?"
Silence filled the ballroom.
Everyone had believed...
Percy was dead.
