Chapter 29 – Before the Ceremony (Part 1)
Author's POV
**London – Grand Royal Hotel **
The bright morning sunlight slowly filled Jay's room.
She stood quietly in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at London's beautiful skyline.
Today...
Was Keifer's day.
A small smile appeared on her face.
"I hope everything goes perfectly."
She walked toward the wardrobe and carefully took out the elegant gown she had brought from the Philippines.
After taking a shower, she slowly started getting ready.
Not because she wanted to impress anyone...
But because today was one of the most important days in Keifer's life.
A few minutes later...
Her phone suddenly rang.
Jay looked at the screen.
Serena Watson
She smiled before answering.
"Good morning, Tita Serena."
Serena's warm voice came from the other side.
"Good morning, sweetheart."
"I hope I didn't wake you."
Jay laughed softly.
"No."
"I've already started getting ready."
Serena smiled.
"I knew you would."
There was a brief silence.
Then Serena spoke again.
"Jay..."
"Thank you."
Jay blinked.
"For what?"
"For standing beside my son."
"For never leaving him, even after everything that happened."
Jay's expression softened.
"I never planned to leave him."
"I love him."
Serena smiled warmly.
"I know."
"And that's why I can finally stop worrying."
Jay laughed quietly.
"I don't think mothers ever stop worrying."
Serena laughed too.
"You're right."
"But promise me one thing."
Jay nodded instinctively.
"I promise."
"When Keifer becomes the owner of Watson Enterprises today..."
"Stay beside him."
"He may look confident..."
"But I know my son."
"He'll need you."
Jay smiled.
"I'll be right beside him."
"Always."
Serena felt relieved.
"Thank you, sweetheart."
"And..."
"Try not to surprise him too much."
Jay couldn't help laughing.
"No promises."
Both of them laughed together before ending the call.
Jay looked at her phone for a few seconds.
Then she smiled.
"See you soon, Keifer."

Watson Mansion – London
The mansion was already bustling with activity.
Staff members moved around, making the final preparations for the inheritance ceremony.
Luxury cars continued arriving one after another.
Inside...
Keifer stepped into the grand hall with Kegan.
Several board members immediately stood up.
"Good morning, Mr. Watson."
"We're pleased to see you've recovered."
Keifer smiled politely.
"Thank you."
Mr. Ryder walked toward him.
"Everything is ready."
"The legal documents have been verified."
"The media has arrived."
"Security has been doubled."
"And all invited guests have confirmed their attendance."
Keifer nodded confidently.
"Perfect."
One elderly board member smiled proudly.
"Today marks a new beginning for Watson Enterprises."
"We believe your mother would be proud."
Keifer looked down for a brief moment.
"I hope I can live up to her expectations."
"You already have," Mr. Ryder replied.
Honey walked over carrying a file.
"Here's today's schedule."
She handed it to Keifer.
"No unnecessary work after the ceremony."
"The doctor was very clear."
Keifer smiled.
"You're starting to sound like my mother."
Honey folded her arms.
"Someone has to."
Kegan laughed.
"I agree with Honey."
Keifer shook his head with a smile.
"Fine."
"I'll behave."
Everyone laughed softly.
Outside the mansion...
More luxury cars continued arriving.
The ceremony...
Was only a few hours away.
