A few days have passed and Ginny's condition got worse.
First it was just some paranoia and a slight headache. But that was only the beginning. As the days passed Basil, Colin, and Luna noticed Ginny's condition getting worse.
Her face was as pale as a sheet of paper, and she was constantly second guessing herself as if something was blocking her from saying what she wanted to say.
They constantly asked and comforted her but to no avail. Whenever she got close to revealing something, she panicked and shut her mouth.
"What should we do?"
After the fourth failed attempt Basil, Colin, and Luna put their heads together trying to come up with a way to help Ginny.
"Well we just need to find out what's making her paranoid." Basil said simply.
"Why don't we give her time?" Luna suggested. "Time can change people."
So they decided to give Ginny some space and didn't question her.
Unfortunately nothing happened for a few weeks until Quidditch season came along.
Everyone was hyped, cheering for either Gryffindor or Slytherin.
The supporters of Slytherin were wearing green and silver, carrying flags with snakes. On the other hand, Gryffindor supporters were wearing red and gold with a roaring lion flying behind them.
Soon the teams came out onto the feild amidst the cheers of the fans.
"Go Gryffindor!"
"Gryffindor!"
"Go Slytherin!"
Cheers rang aroud the stadium towards the fourteen players on the feild.
They stood in formation and on Madam Hooch's whistle they flew up into the air.
"Who do you think will win?" Luna asked.
"Well, the Slytherins have Nimbus 2001s, the best fastest broom of the century. On the other hand, Gryffindor has Harry Potter, the youngest seeker of the century. They also practice a lot. Wood's probably one of the most dedicated captains I've ever seen." Basil said grinning.
"So Slytherin has better brooms and Gryffindor has more practice?" Colin chimed in.
"Yes, I also heard that the Slytherins won the cup for seven years before Harry joined, so it might be a close match if Harry doesn't catch the snitch quickly." Basil said glancing towards Ginny who was sitting there silent the whole time.
She didn't seem to notice his glance as her attention was on her hands.
Basil sighed and turned his attention back to the Quidditch field.
Madame Hooch had just thrown the quaffle into the air and the chasers rushed forward grabbing the quaffle.
"Wow, It's way different than watching practice." Colin was amazed at the intense emotions coming from the stands.
"Yeah. competition is very emotional." Basil cheered on.
As they were talking and cheering rain started to trickle down. After a while they noticed that the Gryffindor beaters, Fred and George where nowhere to be seen.
"Where are the beaters?" Colin asked. Frustrated when a bludger blocked Angelina from scoring.
"Look up." Basil pointed upwards.
Looking up, Colin saw a Harry Potter ducking and weaving past two beaters with bats ready while a bludger followed him. He saw one of the beaters swing his bat and hit the bludger towards a Slytherin player.
The bludger flew towards him. But just as it was about to hit him, it stopped. Then it reversed and began chasing Harry again.
"What? That's not fair. The bludger's rigged!" Colin shouted in outrage.
"Is it hexed?" Luna muttered.
Basil sweeped the stands, looking through the crowd to find anything suspicious, but he didnt find anything.
And Ginny stared at the bludger with a worried look unnoticed by everyone.
After a few close dodges Madame Hooch called blew her whistle and the players flew down.
"Where did the Weasleys go?"
"Yeah, they could of blocked that."
"Didn't you see? There was a bludger stuck to Potter, the Weasleys were following him."
"Really? Was it hexed?"
As soon as the match paused everyone began chatting about Harry and the bludger.
"Do you think it's hexed?" Colin was worried, although he had never seen Quidditch before he knew that that was abnormal.
"Possibly." Basil muttered.
Before they could talk more the teams flew up again. This time, Harry's silhouette flew up alone without the twins.
"Isn't that dangerous?" Colin exclaimed.
"It could be. But it could also give them an advantage. He just needs to catch the snitch quickly." Basil explained.
They watched as he weaved past the bludger soaring across the stadium.
But as he was nearing the Slytherin seeker Malfoy, he suddenly stopped.
"What is he doing? He's gonna crash!" Colin shouted.
BANG
As Colin predicted, the bludger smashed right into Harry, crushing his arm and nearly sending him flying.
After the smash Harry started diving towards Malfoy who was laughing, scaring him and causing him to fumble midair.
The crowd wondered why he was zooming towards Malfoy. Maybe he got mad that he laughed.
But just as they were about to crash, Harry leaded upwards and reached out his hand grabbing something beside Malfoy's head.
Everyone held their breath. A creeping suspicion about what he had just caught rose as he straightened out from the dive.
Harry was smiling, he raised his hand revealing the golden snitch.
Everyone was stunned. Then they cheered.
But it did not last long. A crowd gathered around Harry as he decended, Lockhart leading them.
Basil, Colin, Ginny, and Luna followed the growing crowd. As soon as they arrived they saw Lockhart take out his wand and point it to Harry's broken arm.
He twirled his wand and pointed it at Harry's arm. After he finished his spell Harry's arm went limp, all the bones in his hand and forearm disappeared making his arm a limp rubber glove.
"What?"
Everyone gasped. Staring beyween the limp limb and Lockhart.
"Now, now. Don't panic, it is a simple mistake." Lockhart tried to diffusethe situation. "Why don't you go to the Hospital Wing with your friend."
Ron and Hermione carried Harry away as the crowd parted away.
"Is he okay?" Colin looked at Harry worried.
"He's fine, Madame Pomfrey can heal him." Luna said.
Basil nodded, his gaze drifting towards the castle. Behind him, Ginny was stared at Harry, an uneasy suspicion stirring deep inside her.
