[IOAVOLLR MEETING – PART 2]
"Everyone is here. Good. Let's get started…no need for introductions since we handled that last time…and time is short. Let's jump right in and discuss the defense plan." Suho said firmly as he addressed the Alliance.
"We expect the bulk to the Empire's force to attack through the Void, here in this region. Given the size of our enemy and our current forces, the best defensive strategy is to adopt a formation like this…this formation resembles a V."
"The left flank will be defended by Supreme General Gaia and the Celestial Army along with General Kavar and the Cherubim-Seraphim Army. Monarch Sirka and the ice spirits will also defend the left flank."
"At the center will by my father the Shadow Monarch and the Shadow Army."
"Guarding the right flank will be Liu Zhigang along with the Rulers and their Army."
"The left and right flanks will be under tremendous pressure, as that happens, pull your forces back in a strategic and controlled retreat. This will cause our formation to change from a "V" shape to this…an arrow-head formation."
"The arrow-head formation will allow wounded or tired soldiers to fall back will avoiding encirclement from the enemy."
"Antares and the dragons have enormous mobility…they will serve as the Calvary. Monarchs Ammut and Gray will join the left flank. Their mission is target and neutralize high treats."
"Furthermore, we expect thousands of gates to form on earth. These will range from D-rank all the way to S-rank. The IHA will mobilize the hunters from earth to combat this threat. In addition, Monarchs Esil Radiru and Thomas Andre will lead their respective armies against the largest gates on earth."
Thomas Andre yelled, "Fxxx that! I want fight in space where the real action is!"
The group reacted by rolling their eyes or shaking their heads in disapproval.
Liu Zhigang responded, "if you abandon the giants and titans during the battle, you will be known as the King that ran…how long do you think they will continue to call you "King" after that?"
Good point.
Thomas grumbled, "Fine…but if you get your ass kicked don't come crying to me for help."
"What if some Apostles get through our lines?" One soldier asked.
"The earth has an elite group of hunters prepared to handle Apostle-level threats." Suho replied with confidence. It was true, earth had Hae-in Cha and Il-Hwan Sung in addition to other Nation Level Hunters. They were prepared and capable of handling these large threats.
After more details and questions, Suho dropped a major twist to the plan.
"Thalia and I will not be joining the battle on earth or the Void…we have a special mission. Our mission is to go behind enemy lines and disrupt their Center of Operations and rescue high priority prisoners kept there."
A tide of hushed voices followed.
"Why can't we rescue the prisoners after we win the battle?" Someone asked.
"Time is short…the prisoners are fading quickly and will not last much longer." Suho replied with a serious tone as he thought about Thalia's dad.
Some more comments and questions followed. The stage was set.

[NIGHT BEFORE INVASION]
"Are you sure you don't want a glass of Scotch? This is a 30-year Macallan…it's basically paradise in a bottle." Adam White said as he opened a bottle he had been saving for a special occasion.
"Normally I don't partake but since tomorrow might be our last…pour me some." Jinchul replied casually.
Adam smiled as he poured three-fingers into 2 glasses.
GULP
"My lord! Did you gulp that down? It's 30-year Scoth! You are supposed to sip and enjoy!" Adam said angrily.
After a brief moment both men laughed.
"If we survive this, what will you do next!" Adam asked.
"What do you mean next? There is no next for me…this is it." Jinchul said firmly.
Adam sighed and asked, "you ever thought about marriage? Staring a family?"
Jinchul shook his head
"You know," Adam continued, "Laura is single. I see how she enjoys talking with you when she comes in…maybe there is something there?"
In a serious tone Jinchul replied, "indeed Laura is a remarkable woman. The problem is that she is basically Thomas Andre's little sister. I rather face the North Empire than talk with the Goliath about his sister."
Both men laughed imaging the scene.
