Prior to the Outer Gods War, no Itarim ever thought of invading a neighboring universe. Such notion was not only unthinkable…it was the very definition of futile.
Itarims although each having unique personalities, identities, and other differences; had essentially the same massive and undisputed power. Conflict between the Itarim would have only resulted in a never-ending tug-of-war between equals. Never winning or losing.
This stagnant and stale balance was shattered during the Outer Gods War. As the armies of Itarim battled Jinwoo and Suho Sung, three important truths came to light.
Itarim were not "absolute" beings. They could be killed.Power was not set in stone. It could be increased…even the Itarim could grow in power.Everyone is an enemy.
War continued to rage across countless universes throughout the cosmos. The once stagnant and stale state of the cosmos was thrown into nonstop disarray as Itarim battled Itarim in pursuit of more power and territory.
As a result of these ongoing wars, power difference between Itarim started to appear. The more universes an Itarim devoured, the stronger they became. Thus began a cosmic power race.
Three years after Suho Sung joined the frontlines in the Outer Gods War, one Itarim managed to rise far above the rest.

Ra, like other Itarim was ruthless and cruel. However, by cunning and patience he succeeded in devouring the most universes, thus becoming the strongest of all Itarim.
He was not satisfied with his conquests…his ambition was to be the sole ruler of the cosmos. The one and only true God!
