Rakshasa paced back and forth across the secluded courtyard behind one of the Demonic Cult's halls, biting her thumbnail as her irritation grew with every turn. Far too much time had passed since Victor began climbing the staircase, and the problem wasn't even that he was taking so long. She had expected that. The problem was that, at some point, she had simply stopped sensing his presence within the formation.
And she knew exactly one person capable of doing something like that on this mountain.
"How dare she just disappear with him?!" Rakshasa complained, turning sharply and walking in the opposite direction. Her hair swayed behind her with the sudden movement, and the blood energy surrounding her body responded to its owner's irritation as though it had a will of its own. "I told her he wanted to talk to her. Talk! Not kidnap my man and take him who knows where!"
She continued walking for a few seconds before realizing something.
It was far too quiet.
Rakshasa stopped.
