Chapter 25 - new beginning

Ryan was sweating profusely.

Sweat was dripping from his handsome face and his smooth black hair was wet.

He took off his shirt and wiped the sweat with it.

"Ugh, the smell of sweat."

He hated to sweat, but he looked at his naked body and a wide smile appeared on his face.

Another year had passed, and his departure to the academy was scheduled for tomorrow.

Last year he exercised almost daily

"It seems that all that sweat wasn't in vain."

Although his body did not increase in size, his muscles became harder and his abdominal muscles began to show.

He can now move his body well.

He can now use the elements.

However, using it until its spark runs out exhausts him. If he uses the ice element until its spark runs out, his body becomes very cold, and he must either rest or use the fire element to warm his body.

The opposite occurred when using the fire element, but he couldn't use powerful abilities in the fire element because he was at a lower level in it.

Knowledge of abilities was not a great deal; it was merely a personal idea. If a person was intelligent, they could generate or think of any ability and use it.

For example, freezing someone's feet: if your level is low and the target is stronger than you, they will easily see the ice coming from you because any element was emanating from the body.

But if someone uses all of their spark in a single attack, this could have the desired effect.

The more sparks you use in your power, the stronger it becomes.

At that moment, a voice was heard from inside the house:

"Ryan, dinner's ready."

Ryan shouted back,

"Coming!"

He was now in his yard. He went inside and took a quick shower to get rid of the smell of sweat.

Then he went to the living room; his mother and father were the only ones sitting at the table.

They looked at each other, smiles on their faces, but a hint of sadness was visible in their eyes.

Of course, it was his last meal with them before going to the academy.

His mother looked at him and asked,

"Have you packed everything? You have a long trip starting tomorrow."

"Don't worry, I've packed everything I need."

She gestured for him to come closer.

"Come here."

Ryan approached her, and when he reached her ، She stood up and placed a necklace around his neck.

Ryan touched the pendant; it was a silver star with a simple design, which gave it a certain allure.

"Why are you giving me this?"

"It's a gift, and also if something happens to you on your way to the academy, try breaking it with your element. This way, your sister Liara will know where you are and come to you."

'So it's just something to protect me'

According to what he had heard, he might encounter bandits on his way, and because he would be alone with only the carriage driver, everyone was worried about him.

At that moment his father spoke:

"Shouldn't we assign an adventurer to protect you on your journey?"

He looked at his father with annoyance.

"We talked about this last time. Hiring someone to protect me will cost a lot of money, and you both spent a lot of your savings while I was unconscious."

Ryan sighed.

"Don't worry, I promise you that if I'm ever in danger, I'll run away immediately and try to contact you and one of my sisters."

Although they were still apprehensive, they finally agreed.

"Okay, let's have dinner now."

After a delicious dinner, they went to sleep.

The sun rose and a new day began. Ryan was looking at his room from outside the door.

"I will miss this small room."

He closed the door behind him and went out, then headed to the front door where a car with a driver was waiting for him.

His parents were there too. Ryan stood looking at them for a few seconds.

"I'm leaving, Dad, Mom."

His mother was on the verge of tears, while his father remained calm.

"Mother, you promised me you wouldn't cry. I won't leave forever. I'll be back on vacation."

His mother wiped away the tears that were forming.

"I'm not crying."

His father smiled and said,

"Take good care of yourself."

Then his mother said,

"Don't skip your meals or classes, and don't be friend bad people."

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of myself."

Ryan stepped forward, got into the car, and opened the window.

The cart started moving, then he began waving to his parents and shouting:

"Mom!"

"Dad!"

"Take care of yourselves!"

His mother started to cry. Ryan smiled and said in a low voice,

"You promised me you wouldn't cry."

And now his journey in this world begins.
