Karl interrupted May's scolding of Peter and Pietro with a mischievous grin. "Alright, May, stop scolding them. Come here, I have something for you." He held out a small, glowing blue crystal. May, still glaring at the two, walked over to him, her curiosity piqued. Karl pulled her close, his voice a low whisper in her ear. "It's a superpower; it can teleport and open portals. I'll help you absorb it, baby."
May, sensitive to touch, especially on her ears, immediately lost her strength as Karl nibbled on her lobe. She collapsed against him, her body going limp. "What are you doing? You're doing it again! I don't want it. You never say anything to them. What if something happens to them one day?" May protested, even as her hand reached out to take the crystal from Karl's fingers.

Karl, now holding May tightly, turned to Peter and Pietro. "You two will have your training doubled for the next two months. Look how stupid you are in combat, it's utterly shameful! If you do this again, double the training again!" He threw them back to their original positions, where they stood with long faces, accepting their fate.
"Come on, baby, let's absorb some superpowers, okay?" Karl murmured, his lips brushing against May's ear. He kissed her deeply, exploring her mouth with a hunger that left her breathless. May, despite her initial resistance, began to respond to him, her body pressing against his.
Yan, seeing this, quickly opened a wormhole and disappeared. Gwen, Raven, Helen Cho, and Dark Phoenix exchanged knowing smiles. Meanwhile, Tony was not having such a good time. Maya Hansen, following the timeline, went to Tony's house to provide intelligence, but armed helicopters launched missiles at Tony's villa. This time, there were six of them, constantly firing at the villa. Tony, protected by his vibranium armor, was able to shield Pepper from the immediate danger. Various types of armored vehicles flew out of the villa, destroying the six helicopters and beginning an investigation into the attackers.

Rhodes was also captured by Killian, who used the heat of his palm to force Rhodes out of his Patriot armor. Locked in a room, Rhodes was unable to escape. Although the Patriot armor had been upgraded, it was still inferior to Tony's current vibranium suit, which automatically opened after continuous exposure to high temperatures. Killian, wearing the Patriot armor, then kidnapped the Vice President of the United States, originally intending to capture the President, but due to Carl's absence, they were discussing matters separately.

He also asked Peggy Carter, Hawkeye, and Natasha to go and rescue the Vice President, while he set out to rescue Pepper. Peggy Carter already knew about the Vice President's kidnapping and, after meeting up with Natasha and the others, headed towards the location detected by S.H.I.E.L.D.
Soon, Tony arrived at an abandoned dock. Pepper was hanging by chains on an overpass, below which sat a group of mercenaries injected with the Extremis virus. Hammer, sitting below the overpass, revealed a sarcastic smile as Tony arrived with various models of Iron Man suits.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!! Look who's here, our superhero Iron Man, also a super genius and a billionaire, he is our: Tony Stark!!" Hammer stood up, his words dripping with sarcasm.
