Chapter 4 _Expedition II.
Echo leaned back slightly, his eyes distant as the blue glow of the Sacred Waters reflected in them.
"It started three cycles before my Collapse," he began.
"There was a Verdan enlighter… three realms above Carnis. His name was Hector."
He was respected, admired and feared.
He is a genius of his prime,hector had recently stabilized his light core in the Verdan frequency — green light radiating from him like growing flame,it was not deep but light , it flickers with blue in the mist,But everyone knew he was restless and hungry for power.
But before I continue let me tell you the realms difference and the life core system above it might differ from this realm, he said. The moment he said that he noticed elsa had an interesting look.
Everyone is born neutral with dormant life core ,no resonance, no status but to gain power, one must awaken,must resonate and must stabilize.If awakening fails you become an outcast and If core fractures.....there was silence.
You become collapsed, elsa replied. Echo nodded.
Let's continue to the spectrum system. He continued.
There are the seven frequencies with its colour. It starts from red...the carnis frequency, this is where we call the base frequency and where you start to build your power through sheer blood , instinct and survival alone,it enhance speed and strength, reflexes and many more for combat.
The next is orange..... Veyra Frequency, it's domain is motion and momentum, with this stage you can control speed ,redirect force, store and release kinetic energy you can also have a brief aerial movement. This stage is for skilled fighters.
Then we have yellow..... Solen Frequency, it's domain Perception and Awareness with this stage you can see energy flows, predict short-term outcomes ,detect weaknesses and mental disruption.This stage is for strategists and tacticians the most.
Then green comes in... Verdan Frequency. Its for Growth and Adaptation, its abilities comprimises regeneration environmental adaptation, enhanced endurance accelerated biological growth, its mostly best used for healers,survivors and defenders.
And we have the blue.... Aethric Frequency.
Its domain... structure and Control. It's abilities are Energy constructs,Barriers,
stabilize unstable cores,disrupt enemy resonance.its for the elite class.
Blue! huh, It explains a lot why your resonance was collapsed and disrupted, elsa said. Echo nodded and continued.
And then the almighty....VIOLET .... Noctyrr Frequency, its domain is Space and dimensional Fabric , its abilities are, tear space rifts, short teleportation ,compress or distort space ,Senses dimensional fractures.
Its for Authority-level beings.
This is what i know about light frequencies, there are more ,some even say there is a frequency even higher than voilet. Echo felt like the Sacred Waters itself is listening.
Elsa sat down quietly, trying to process everything he said , there is a lot she had learnt.
So you are basically saying red is Instinct,
orange is motion,yellow is perception,green is adaptation,blue is control and Violet is space, elsa said. Echo nodded.
So why didn't you say this instead of this long explanation. Echo brow twitched upon hearing that.The f**k do you mean,he tought.
"He said he found something," Echo continued. "An ancient ruin buried beyond the Outer Verge. A place that is untouched by time , since before the frequency divisions.
Treasures, artifacts, power, you can name them. That was what he promised though...
But I knew the truth, he is to something else.
What is he up to , elsa said.
He needed numbers,Echo said quietly. "Low-realm Carnis enlighters.
As Cannon fodders, elsa replied. Exactly! Echo nodded.
Verdan enlighters could not risk themselves triggering ancient mechanisms, unstable cores, or guardian beasts. Carnis were expendable.
I knew what we were," Echo said. "I just needed the opportunity to escape the outer verge.
The expedition moved beyond regulated territory .... into fractured land where frequencies collided unnaturally. The sky there was unstable ,colors bled into each other. Gravity bent subtly in places.
There were twelve Carnis enlighters. Two Verdans. And Hector — the strongest among us. He was in a stage called hybrid between verdan and aethric.

Echo kept quiet, he watched and measured.
He felt something was wrong from the start.
Hector wasn't searching for treasures,it was something he couldn't quiet put it. Then it clicked ...no, he was searching for pressure to force a breakthrough to the next stage since he was close.
The Ruin... they found it half-buried in crystallized terrain — a massive circular structure pulsing faintly with dormant energy.
Ancient glyphs. Blue veins in the stone. A silent hum.
Echo felt it immediately....aethric residue.
Hector ordered the Carnis to enter first. Some died by ...Trigger pathways and Test stability. They continue moving forward.
One by one, the lower ranks advanced.The ruin reacted violently.Energy constructs formed. Bladed light swept corridors. Three Carnis died instantly....One screamed, One reached out and One didn't even understand what killed him.
Hector did not move to help.he was observing ,measuring
thresholds.
Echo's suspicion hardened into certainty.
"He wasn't exploring," Echo said quietly. "He was calibrating."
The Real Objective .... was at the center of the ruin, stood a fractured obelisk. Blue energy pulsed within it — unstable but immense. A dormant Aethric catalyst.
HALT!!. A heavy voice cut through the ranks. Hector rushed forward at last. The Verdans around him realized it too late. So he planned this, one whispered.
