Phoenix panicked as he screamed Az's name.
Baka charged toward the pinned Phoenix, his katana raised for the killing blow.
In a flash of lightning, Az appeared between them, shielding Phoenix with his own body.
Baka's blade drove straight through Az's chest.
Blood burst from the wound, spilling onto the ground and slowly forming a crimson pool beneath him.
Baka froze—stunned
Phoenix "Did you say my future was death? You're off the mark again, Baka.
Seig—searching the clearing fog for Miki—spotted the scene.
Seig "What the hell is going on here?!"
Iroh "isn't that the boy in the mask?
Miki "he jumped in to save Phoenix.
Baka (inner) "I didn't expect him to jump in and save Phoenix… The boy's already dead.
Phoenix grins "You did great, little brother."
He reached for his executioner blade. Baka lost concentration for a bit and the pool of dark magic holding Phoenix began fading
Seig "Phoenix that unbelievable scumbag"
Baka "Seig—just stay out of this
He gently laid Az's bloody body on the floor.
Baka "I'm sorry… but this is my battle.
Seig—spotted Miki from afar as fog lifted and rushed forward to her.
Miki "Seig—you're alright! Thank goodness! What about Aturia?"
Seig looked away—guilt heavy.
Miki voice faltered "Seig… where is Aturia?"
Seig "She's badly injured she your help quickly.
Miki "Mr iroh please stay put and Seig look after him" she says before rushing to where Aturia was to save her.
Phoenix cackled.
Phoenix "You have no time to take your eyes off me, Baka."
He charged—blade flashing. Baka countered—kicked him in the stomach.
Baka "your sword skills are getting sloppy making it easy to read.
Miki ran frantically and found Aturia nearly lifeless on the floor, body grazed in injuries and burns. Miki froze for a bit—traumatized.
Miki knelt down and checked for a heartbeat.
Miki "I can still hear a heartbeat… although it's very faint."
She gently placed her hands on Aturia's body as a purple healing glow flowed from her hands, slowly healing all the cuts and bruises.
Miki "It's likely Az used his lightning technique to target her pressure points… putting her in a temporary death state—just like he did before with Phoenix. But she'll wake up soon. To imagine seeing Athuria in this kind of situation… is horrifying."
Meanwhile
Phoenix was out of breath after charging numerous times at Baka. He couldn't use his cloud magic because they'll just be easily absorbed by Baka dark magic.
Phoenix "Why can't I keep up… darn you!"
He charged again. Baka dodged—gripped the back of his neck.
Baka "You can't possibly defeat me the way you are now. You still don't know what true strength means.
He tightened the grip—reached for his katana.
Baka "Goodbye, Demon."
He swung from behind—but Phoenix out of desperation deflected with his executioner blade. The clash shattered Phoenix's blade to pieces.
Baka "Your blade is broken. Using your magic element is futile because i can easily absorb it and you're out of stamina. You've reached your limit.
Anxiety filled Phoenix face.
Then suddenly small footsteps echoed across the bridge.
Mr Moss Head stepped into the chaos—suit pristine, walking cane in hand, monocle glinting. Behind him—30 normal thugs emerged
Mr Moss Head smirks "Oh… you really got it this time. I think I've been generous and given you enough time to complete the mission but you just keep disappointing me so it's time i take matters into my own hands and I'm terminating our contract agreement.
