Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Love at the Corner, Soul Suffering Ding Yumian

"Leg... leg ring?" Wang Feng widened his eyes and looked at Dean Xiao in disbelief.

"Yes, it's a special kind of magic tool." Dean Xiao nodded, then continued to explain:

"It can be used in conjunction with ordinary magic tools. Its instantaneous burst of speed can even surpass Wind Track Piaoying, and it also has a certain offensive ability.

Each time a certain amount of magic energy is injected, it can unleash the power to split mountains. Splitting rocks with a single kick is no problem."

"So strong?" A hint of surprise flashed in Wang Feng's eyes. "Then why is it still here? No one wants it?"

Dean Xiao coughed twice, looking a little embarrassed.

"The reason... First of all, there's only one leg ring, so only one leg can have this effect. This requires a high level of coordination from the mage, and many people can't adapt to it."

He paused, his tone turning more subtle. "Secondly... it transformed into stockings."

"Stockings?!" Wang Feng's mouth twitched.

"Yes, stockings." Dean Xiao nodded helplessly. "And... they are the thin black kind, with lace edges."

Wang Feng looked down at the leg ring in his hand. The image of himself wearing one black stocking on a single leg involuntarily popped into his mind, and his scalp tingled.

"This... what was the designer thinking?" Wang Feng couldn't help but complain.

"It's said that Senior Ling Xiuyuan designed this magic tool to commemorate an old friend of his. As for why it turned into stockings... ahem, no one really knows." Dean Xiao explained.

Wang Feng originally glanced at the leg ring with disdain. But as he was about to move on to the next magic tool, a sudden thought struck him.

He couldn't use this leg ring himself—but he could give it to Xinxia!

One leg in black stockings, the other bare…

Now that seemed fun!

"How much is this leg ring worth?" Wang Feng asked.

Dean Xiao raised a single finger, a meaningful smile on his face.

"One million? That's cheap."

"What one million? It's ten million!" Dean Xiao corrected.

Wang Feng fell silent for a moment, then raised his voice: "You're robbing me! A spiritual-level magic tool costs that much?!"

"This kind of tool is extremely rare—one of a kind, even. Ten million is already affordable. If you hadn't won so many resources this time, I wouldn't have even given you access to this batch." Dean Xiao explained.

"Then you can keep it for yourself." Wang Feng shrugged, pretending to set the leg ring down.

"Oh, don't!" Dean Xiao quickly waved his hands. "If you really want it, I'll give it to you for eight million. Any less and I'll go bankrupt!"

He even made a "miserable" expression, as if heartbroken by the deal.

Wang Feng couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, eight million it is."

His gaze then shifted to the silver necklace on the table, its sapphire glowing softly under the light.

"What about this one?"

Dean Xiao looked where Wang Feng pointed and smiled.

"This is the Heart of Water Blossom, a soul-level magic weapon. When deployed, it forms a shield comparable to the Water Blossom Sky Curtain – Barrier,

capable of resisting all attacks below the Commander level. Even a Commander-level strike can be blocked at least three times."

"How much is it worth?" Wang Feng asked.

Dean Xiao held up eight fingers.

"Eight million?" Wang Feng guessed.

"Have you ever seen a soul-level magic weapon sold for millions? Eighty million!" Dean Xiao's forehead darkened with lines.

Why does he feel that Wang Feng's heart is even blacker than his own?

Wang Feng sighed. "Figures. Fine, I'll just take this necklace and the leg ring. I don't need the rest—convert them into resources instead."

Dean Xiao nodded and took out a form from his drawer, handing it to Wang Feng. "Pick five from here."

Wang Feng skimmed the form. All the items listed were rare resources used for summoning beasts and healing beasts of the mid-level Summoning system.

As for space resources… naturally, none were listed.

"Dean Xiao, isn't there a problem here? Even with a soul-level weapon and a spirit-level tool, shouldn't there be more? After all, I won resources from the entire school, across twenty departments." Wang Feng frowned, clearly dissatisfied.

Dean Xiao slapped his forehead and smiled.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. Since I couldn't find a good way to transfer all the scattered public resources, I decided to let you enter the Three-Step Pagoda for training."

"Three-Step Pagoda?" Wang Feng blinked, then nodded. "I see."

He looked back at the form and pointed to the five white magic resources listed. "Then I'll take these five white magic cultivation resources."

"Good. I'll have someone deliver them to you in a few days." Dean Xiao nodded.

Wang Feng then asked, "By the way, Dean Xiao, where should I live now?"

The Qing Campus had a strict rule: all freshmen must live in the school for one year (though in reality, just one semester).

But since Wang Feng had beaten up nearly all the freshmen, no one dared share a dorm with him.

Dean Xiao was briefly stunned, but quickly recovered.

He thought for a moment before saying, "How about this? I'll arrange a staff dormitory for you. You can live there for now. Once the semester ends, you can rent a place outside."

"Alright, thank you, Dean Xiao."

Leaving Dean Xiao's office, Wang Feng strolled around the campus, thoughts wandering.

"Sigh, I thought I'd get to live off-campus, but instead I'm stuck in a staff dorm. Looks like I'll have to wait until the weekend to give the leg ring to Xinxia." He muttered, sounding helpless.

Just then, lost in thought, he bumped into a soft figure at the corner.

His hand instinctively reached out, gently wrapping around the person's waist.

"Ah!" A soft cry escaped, tinged with panic.

Wang Feng looked down and saw that the girl in his arms was wearing the Mingzhu school uniform.

She had a slender figure, delicate features, and a quiet, gentle aura between her brows.

Her long, smooth hair was tied into a braid, draped over her shoulder and resting against her chest.

Her eyes were as clear as spring water, yet carried a faint trace of charm that stirred a sense of pity.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. Are you alright?"

Wang Feng quickly let go of her waist and cast a [Healing Light] over her.

The next moment, a dark golden prompt box appeared before his eyes.

[Death of the Soul]: Can infect all living beings through emotions, achieving the effect of enslavement.

Wang Feng: ???

Happiness came too suddenly!
