Synopsis
Mo Tianlong was an ordinary secondary school student. He had no special talents, nor did he lead a remarkable life... Until that morning. When he opened his eyes to go to school, he wasn't in his bed. Instead, he was in a lush green field, but he wasn't alone... (Hello everyone, I never intended to write a fanfic like this, and I didn't even have an account until now, but lately I've come across so many AI novels and poorly translated fanfics that I asked myself, why not give it a try? Let me be clear: This is my first attempt, so please excuse any shortcomings. I won't be using AI like some clever folks do, so I won't be able to write 4 or 5 chapters a day. Finally, I won't be using AI just for images. )

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Mo Tianlong looked around with a foolish and blank expression. There were long, gigantic trees and lush green fields, but the strangest thing here was that everything was far larger than normal.

"Guys, you're really funny. Last time, you threw me into the pool because I fell asleep in class. This time, is it a forest?

Couldn't you find a better place?"

Mo Tianlong was a little angry. He might be a heavy sleeper, but that didn't give them the right to bully him because of it.

One minute passed, then three minutes passed, but no one appeared or laughed at his question

Mo Tianlong sighed and murmured, "Looks like I'll have to go back home by myself again."

Just as he tried to stand up, he began to realize that something was very wrong.

Where his hands were supposed to be, there were three-toed feet with small claws and green reptilian skin.

When he examined his body more carefully, he realized that not only did he have four clawed legs, but he also had a thin tail about thirty centimeters long. At that moment, Mo Tianlong understood that this had nothing to do with his foolish classmates' prank. Instead, it was the work of God himself.

"Holy shit!"

If Mo Tianlong said that he wasn't truly scared at that moment, he would be lying.

"No, no… This can't be possible. Please tell me this is just a dream."

Mo Tianlong bit his own three-toed foot hopefully.

And at that moment, the only thing he felt…

Was a scream.

It hurt badly—too real to be a dream. Yet, this reality was just as painful as having to accept that it wasn't a dream.

"Stupid Mo Tianlong, stupid Mo Tianlong… Why would you do such a foolish test?"

As the minutes passed, Mo Tianlong began to calm down a little.

After calming down a little, Mo Tianlong began to think more rationally.

Had he simply turned into an animal, or had he been reincarnated into another body like in the novels?

The only difference was this: while the heroes in novels were reincarnated as handsome and talented individuals, Mo Tianlong had been reincarnated as a small lizard.

The more Mo Tianlong thought about it, the more he couldn't help but secretly curse God in his heart.

What kind of evil could he have done for God to treat him like this?

For the sake of his sanity, Mo Tianlong decided not to think about these things any further. He had a more important task now.

He needed to figure out where he was.

If he was still in his own world, he was confident that he could find out where he was, one way or another.

But if he was in a world like those in novels, his only hope was to pray that he had been reincarnated into a familiar universe.

If God had given him a choice, Mo Tianlong would definitely have chosen to remain in his own world.

At that moment, Mo Tianlong heard a sound coming from a bush about twenty meters away from him.

Rustle… Rustle… Rustle…

At that moment, Mo Tianlong's heart felt as if it was about to stop.

From within the bushes, a dog as large as an ordinary cheetah in Mo Tianlong's world emerged.

But this dog was nothing like the ones Mo Tianlong was used to. Its fur was stiff and upright like a hedgehog's, as black as a panther's, and it had wolf-like yellow eyes. It also had a tail that was slightly too long for a dog.

If this creature had existed in Mo Tianlong's world, even an alpha wolf would probably have tucked its tail and fled.

Most importantly, it looked a little hungry and was approaching Mo Tianlong with saliva dripping from its mouth.

He swallowed. "God, I'm sorry… I wasn't cursing you. It was just a small misunderstanding."

The feral dog suddenly sped up and leaped toward Mo Tianlong.

When Mo Tianlong saw this, he didn't hesitate for a second and immediately turned and ran. After all, wasn't more than ninety percent of bravery just knowing when to run?

Mo Tianlong was well aware that with his small four legs, he would never be able to escape in a long, straight chase. Therefore, he tried to flee by squeezing through narrow spaces, bushes, and beneath the exposed roots of trees on the ground.

And this tactic worked to some extent, but it was still chasing him. His small legs were very weak; he had already started to grow tired.

The distance between Mo Tianlong and the ugly wild dog was gradually shrinking.

When the gap closed to five meters, the wild dog suddenly stopped for a second. Normally, this should have reassured Mo Tianlong, but something inside him told him that this was very bad. Acting on instinct, he dropped to the ground.

Suddenly, the wild dog's hedgehog-like fur shot out like rockets.

Hundreds of spiky hairs missed Mo Tianlong and pierced the ground in front of him like spears.

After seeing this, he was very glad that he had listened to his instincts, but he didn't have time to appreciate it. So he kept running.

The wild dog was briefly startled when it saw that Mo Tianlong had survived the attack, but when it realized he was still fleeing, it continued the chase.

20 minutes later…

Mo Tianlong was trying to escape through sheer willpower, despite his desperation and legs that felt ready to give out. At the same time, the wild dog kept chasing him with apparent enjoyment, as if the harder the prey was to catch, the sweeter it was.

Mo Tianlong was thinking desperately about what to do. He was well aware that he could no longer keep running.

At that exact moment, as the wild dog was preparing to launch its fur attack, he felt something like a sense of time. He stopped and dropped to the ground so quickly that even Mo Tianlong himself was surprised.

However, the wild dog couldn't adjust to the sudden halt. Unable to slow down in time, it rushed past Mo Tianlong and fell into a deep pit three meters away.

After the wild dog let out a heart-wrenching scream, the forest suddenly fell silent.

Mo Tianlong froze in place for a full minute. Finally gathering his courage, he approached the edge of the pit and looked inside.

It was a human trap. The pit was two meters long and one and a half meters wide, and sharp stakes had been planted all around it. The stakes had completely impaled the wild dog.

But what truly shocked Mo Tianlong was the pale white Soul Ring hovering above the wild dog.

The moment he saw it, Mo Tianlong understood where he was—but something even more interesting happened.

The Soul Ring turned into a beam of light and entered Mo Tianlong's body.

Beep…
