Chapter 68 - The Hidden Records :

Everyone had already left for thier respective work the road outside was bustling with activity cars.

Passing by people moving about yet inside Zavian's car an usual silence lingered.

Zavian sat quietly in the driver's seat, driving, his eyes fixed on the road ahead where traffic was lined up, but his mind was elsewhere.

Just then, Alisha broke the silence and said,

"Sheyaan! If you...don't mind, can I...ask you something?"

Sheyaan quickly shifted her gaze away from the window and looked at Alisha. A soft, innocent smile appeared on her lips.

"Yes, go ahead!"

"So, what's...your age?" Alisha asked suddenly.

Sheyaan tossed her hair back with a bit of attitude and said playfully,

"Guess… what do you think...it is?"

Her charm and style didn't go unnoticed by Zavian. He was watching her every move through the rear-view mirror.

Alisha thought for a moment and then guessed,

"Ummm… I think.. you're around... 20 or 21!"

Hearing this, Sheyaan laughed and happily confirmed,

" yes! You're... right! I'm 21."

Alisha nodded and then asked another interesting question,

"Alright, tell me... this—when should a girl..get into a 'love relationship'?"

Hearing this, Zavian once again glanced back through the rear-view mirror. Sheyaan leaned back in her seat and spoke thoughtfully,

"In my opinion… there's no fixed...age for love. And.. as for getting into a...relationship, a girl should be...

"independent' first... Only then...can a relationship truly work."

Hearing such deep and sensible words from Sheyaan, a faint smile appeared on Zavian's usually stern lips.

He looked at her through the mirror and smiled slightly, as if he liked her way of thinking.

Alisha, full of excitement, clapped loudly.

"Wow, Sheyaan! That's exactly...how it should be. Very good!"

Hearing Alisha's praise, Sheyaan burst into cheerful laughter.

The atmosphere had just turned pleasant when suddenly Zavian stopped the car abruptly in front of a large building.

Slightly turning his head, he said in his usual firm tone,

"If the conversation is over… shall we go.. inside?"

There was that same icy coldness in his voice. The moment they heard it, Alisha and Sheyaan's smiles disappeared, and both of them instantly became serious.

"Okay! Okay!" Alisha and Sheyaan responded in unison without wasting a second they stepped out of the car and hurried towardthe library.

Zavian calmly parked the car to the side and followed behind them. Every step he took reflected his composed and "cool" personality.

As soon as Sheyaan stepped inside the library, she stopped in amazement.

She had never seen such a huge library before. The atmosphere was completely different;

the scent of books filled the air, and there was a strange sense of peace everywhere.

Some students were deeply focused on their studies, while others quietly flipped through pages.

Widening her eyes, Sheyaan said softly,

"Wow…! The library is so...beautiful. And being here...feels really peaceful!"

Seeing that innocent, childlike happiness on Sheyaan's face, a faint smile

appeared once again on Zavian's otherwise expressionless face. Perhaps her joy was melting his heart.

Alisha looked at Sheyaan and, with a cute smile, asked,

"Alright, tell me—do you want to... explore the whole library first, or...start studying...right away?"

Sheyaan laughed and replied,

"I want to... look around properly first, and then...read books!"

Seeing her excitement, Alisha said,

"Alright! Then first,...enjoy the beautiful surroundings... here!" Saying this,

Alisha began showing Sheyaan around the entire library, pointing out different sections and explaining about the rare books kept there.

Pointing toward a shelf, Alisha continued,

"Look, Sheyaan—this place doesn't... just have university course books, but also rare...books from ancient times that talk about.... great people, their good deeds, and even... their deep secrets!"

Sheyaan looked at those old leather-bound books in amazement.

She thought for a moment, then slowly glanced around and said,

"Hmm… that means you can... gain a lot of...knowledge from here! I really...like all of this."

Zavian was walking along with them—silent, mysterious, and completely stern. His footsteps made no sound,

yet his presence felt so heavy that even in the calm atmosphere of the library, a strange tension could be sensed.

He was listening to their conversation, but his face remained as expressionless as stone.

On the other side, amide the busy city roads Younshu drove The car in the back seat. Fangxi sat quietly lost in the deep thought.

His full attention was on his phone, where he was seriously chatting with someone.

Younshu glanced in the mirror and noticed that the Boss seemed unusually quiet and serious today. In a low voice, he asked,

"Boss, we've left... the house, but you haven't... told me where we're going for the... meeting. Are we heading...to the company?"

Hearing this, Fangxi responded after a moment. He closed the chat, slipped his phone into his coat pocket, and said in a flat tone,

"No, we're not going to... the company. Take the car to...'The Zenith Lounge'!"

Younshu was surprised.

'The Zenith Lounge? That's a very... VIP and well-known.. restaurant…'

But he was still confused. Gathering some courage, he asked,

"Boss, there's something...I don't understand… how did I not know... about this meeting?

"Every appointment to meet you...is usually scheduled through... me first!"

Fangxi sensed Younshu's concern and simply said,

"Don't think... too much. You'll find out... everything soon!"

Younshu decided not to ask any more questions and focused on driving.

After a short while, they reached the restaurant. The car slowly came to a stop.

Younshu quickly stepped out of the car and opened the back door. Fangxi then slowly got out of the car.

He stepped out with grace, adjusted his coat, and as always, his aura was completely "bossy."

The restaurant was large and elegant, exactly what you would expect from a "VIP" place.

Without saying a word, Fangxi walked toward the entrance with full confidence, while Younshu followed behind him like a shadow.

As soon as Fangxi entered the restaurant, the atmosphere shifted.

Some servers, along with the restaurant owner and his assistant, were already standing there waiting.

The moment they saw Fangxi, all the servers respectfully bowed their heads.

The owner himself stepped forward, shook Fangxi's hand, and welcomed him with great respect.

"Welcome to our... restaurant, Mr. Fangxi!" the owner said with a smile.

Fangxi, as usual, gave his calm yet dignified faint smile, nodded slightly, and politely replied,

"Thank you, Mr. Yang Bo!"

The restaurant owner, Yang Do, was a 50-year-old experienced man who had once been a very close friend of Fangxi's father. In a calm and polite voice, he said,

"Please… let's sit and... talk!"

Yang Do and his assistant stepped forward.

Fangxi silently nodded and followed them, while Younshu, as always, stayed two steps behind.

The four of them entered a private lift. Yang Do pressed a button, and the lift quietly moved upward.

Within moments, the lift stopped at the top floor of the building.

As the doors opened, a completely new scene appeared. There were only a few selected tables,

chairs, and comfortable sofas placed around. The entire floor looked so beautiful that anyone would be left staring in awe.

Yang Do led Fangxi to a large glass window, from where the city lights were clearly visible. Gesturing toward the sofa, he politely said,

"Please, have a... seat!"

Fangxi unbuttoned his coat and calmly sat down on the sofa, crossing one leg over the other.

His sitting posture itself reflected how powerful he was. Yang Do also sat across from him, while his assistant stood respectfully beside him holding a black briefcase.

Meanwhile, Younshu stood beside Fangxi with utmost respect maintaining a silence presence.

Just then 'yang Do's' gaze shifted toward Fangxi a subtle smile playing on his lips.

Yang Do smiled and handed over a glass of water, saying,

"Here, take...this."

Fangxi politely took the glass, took a sip, and in his usual calm, expressionless tone said,

"Thank you! Now, we... should talk about... business."

Yang Do nodded and said,

"Okay."

Then he took a small black briefcase from his assistant, placed it on the table, and slowly opened it.

Inside was a white tray-like case, and in it, a shining black pen drive was clearly visible.

Handing the pen drive to Fangxi, Yang Do said,

"Here. Everything you... were looking for is...inside this."

Fangxi picked up the pen drive with a hint of surprise and deep curiosity in his eyes and asked,

"Is that...really true?"

At that moment, Yang Do spoke in a deep and heavy voice,

"Look, Fangxi… I was a very old... and close childhood friend of your... father. The grief of his... passing is just as heavy for...

"me... as it is for.. you. Hearing about his death... was truly painful..for me… That's why...I'm helping you."

Yang Do grew serious and continued,

"Every single.... record, every truth… everything is stored...inside this!"

His words echoed in the air. Fangxi silently tightened his grip around the pen drive.

There was a strange sense of calm on his face, along with an equally deep fear.

He knew that opening this small

Taking that step was like inviting a storm

a storm. That could sweep him away at any moment but now the time to step back. Was already gone.
