Chapter 27 - The King’s Shadow and the First page of Mystery

The weather was getting more and more pleasant as Sheyaan kept asking questions a chilling silence slowly filled the air .

Zavian was quietly looking at Sheyaan very carefully. His face was expressionless, but there was a strange pain in his eyes. In his heart, he was thinking,

"Do humans really forget their past? But how can someone lose their memory just by sleeping?"

" The human world is very strange. Some people kill their own blood for their own benefit, yet there are also some who can give peace to others with just a small smile."

" Zavian was still thinking about this when Sheyaan slowly pulled her soft hand away from his hand, which he had been holding tightly. She gently moved his hand and asked innocently!"

"You... where did you get lost? Tell me what I asked, please?"

Suddenly Zavian came out of his thoughts. A deep coldness appeared in his eyes and he said,

"Do... do you really want to know, Sheyaan?"

Sheyaan softly replied without hesitation,

"Hmm..."

Just as Zavian was about to say something, Sheyaan's eyes suddenly fell on a 'Shadow' standing behind Zavian. The shadow was making some kind of gesture toward Sheyaan,

as if it was trying to tell her something or give her a warning. The sight was so frightening that Sheyaan felt her heart sink.

Seeing that scene, Sheyaan suddenly screamed!

"Aaaahhh...!"

'Sheyaan suddenly let out of sharp scream trembling with fear she quickly covered her eyes with both of her palms squeezing them shut as if she refused to see that horrifying sight again.

Seeing Sheyaan in this condition, Zavian was completely shocked. His hard face suddenly filled with concern. He quickly held both of Sheyaan's hands and slowly moved them away from her eyes, asking in surprise,

"Sheyaan... what happened? Why did you scream so loudly?"

Sheyaan slowly opened her trembling eyes. Her face had turned pale with fear. She looked at Zavian with frightened eyes and pleaded while crying,

"yo...you... please leave this place! Please, I...I..don't want to stay here..."

Zavian tried to calm her down. There was a strange softness in his voice that existed only for Sheyaan.

"But what happened? Sheyaan, at least tell me..."

Crying, Sheyaan repeated the same thing again. Her voice was breaking with fear,

"No... you go first... from here... please! I want to leave."

Seeing her condition, Zavian did not want to trouble her any more. He held Sheyaan and said in a comforting tone,

"Ok... ok, it's fine. We'll leave from here."

Zavian calmly helped Sheyaan get down from the tall rock. But the moment her feet touched the ground, she suddenly started running straight ahead without thinking!

From behind, Zavian shouted,

"Sheyaan, stop!"

But Sheyaan didn't look back. She just kept running, while Zavian silently watched everything. In his eyes, there was both a deep secret and concern.

Zavian was now starting to feel that something was strange. He looked around, but there was no one there… silence had spread everywhere.

The only sound was the waves of the sea crashing against each other, and a calm wind was blowing.

Deep wrinkles formed on Zavian's forehead. In confusion, he thought,

"What suddenly happened to Sheyaan? Why did she scream so loudly? Just a moment ago she was asking so many questions, and now… now she forgot everything?"

A storm of questions was running through Zavian's mind.

"What exactly did she see?"

He was still thinking about all this when suddenly his eyes fell on the ground. There, half buried in the dirt, lay an old and dirty piece of paper. It was half burned.

Zavian immediately sat near the paper and brushed away the dirt with his hands before picking it up.

As soon as he opened the paper with his cold fingers, he was completely stunned! His heart seemed to stop for a moment and his eyes widened in shock.

A strange anger rose inside Zavian. He slowly growled, and his eyes began to shine with anger. Looking at the paper, he said,

"So… someone was here! Someone was here who frightened Sheyaan so much…"

He let out a deep breath and, with his eyebrows raised, began thinking about that unknown enemy.

Zavian clenched the old piece of paper tightly in his fist. There was a strange coldness on his face.

"My first problem hasn't even been solved yet, and now this new mystery has appeared..." he murmured softly to himself.

After saying this, Zavian stood up, carefully placed the paper in his pocket, and walked away from there.

On the other side, Sheyaan was in a terrible condition. She was badly frightened. When she reached near the restaurant while crying,

Alisha saw her and noticed that Sheyaan was trembling badly. She quickly stood up, came to Sheyaan, and asked.

Sheyaan! What happened to you? Why are you so scared?"

Alisha asked with shock and concern.

Just then Younshu and Kalene also noticed Sheyaan. They immediately left their food and ran toward her. The worry was clearly visible on their faces.

"What happened, Sheyaan? Why are you shaking so much? Is everything okay?"

Younshu asked in a worried voice.

But Sheyaan was not in a condition to say anything. She was trembling badly, her whole soul shaken with fear. She looked at Alisha with tear-filled eyes and said in a broken voice,

"I... I want to go home. I don't want to stay here..."

Her tears would not stop.

"Please call Fangxi! I want to leave this place..."

Seeing Sheyaan crying so much, Younshu quickly said with concern.

"Sheyaan, please don't cry. If you go home in this condition, what answer will we give to the boss? Okay, fine… we will go home. But Sheyaan, how did you end up like this? At least tell us what happened."

Alisha also started looking at Sheyaan with worried eyes.

"Sheyaan… I promised your brother that we would take care of you. What will we say to him now?"

She held Sheyaan's hand and said in a soft voice,

"Yes… please Sheyaan, calm down…"

Then Alisha thought for a moment and asked.

"And… and where is Zayan? He went with you, right?"

As soon as Kalene heard Zavian's name, a question flashed through his mind like lightning. He quietly said to himself,

"Could… all this have happened because of King Zavian?"

He began to think,

"Did he show Sheyaan his 'Demon' form? Or… did he pull all his powers out from inside Sheyaan?"

Kalene's mind started spinning, because until today no Demon had ever become as weak as King Zavian had become now.

And no Demon can stay in such a weak condition for a long time. To regain his power, a demon can do anything.

Kalene then thought again,

"Could it be that in his obsession for power, King Zavian himself pulled all the powers out from inside Sheyaan?"

He thought in shock and then looked at Sheyaan with deep concern.

"What exactly happened?"

Just then, Zavian was suddenly seen running toward them from the front. He quickly reached them and first turned toward Sheyaan and asked with concern,

"Sheyaan... are you okay?"

Now everyone's eyes were fixed on Zavian. Alisha asked in surprise,

"Zayan, what happened there? And why is Sheyaan so scared?"

Zavian looked Alisha and replies.

" Has not been happy!"

The people sitting outside the restaurant, who had been enjoying their food until now, stopped everything and began watching Sheyaan crying.

They started whispering among themselves and began watching the scene like a spectacle.

Seeing this, Zavian became furious. With a deep and terrifying roar, he shouted,

"Is this some kind of show for you?! Focus on your food, or get out of here!"

Zavian's voice was so sharp and heavy that silence spread across the entire restaurant in an instant. Everyone started

trembling with fear and quietly lowered their heads, returning to their food. Zavian's fear could clearly be felt there.

The moment Zavian's Sharp and heavy voice echoed through the restaurant the spectacle came to an end,

and some people even began to leave but Sheyaan remained frozen in place the fear still clearly visible in her eyes

Zavian looked at Sheyaan and gently made her sit on the chair. He sat beside her and said in a firm yet low voice,

"Sheyaan... stop crying. Crying like this is not good."

Looking into her eyes, he explained,

"Look, everyone was watching you. Don't be afraid like this. The more you run from fear, the more it will follow you."

After hearing this, Sheyaan calmed down a little, but her voice was still trembling.

"So... sorry... because of me you had to face so much tension..."

She then said nervously,

"But I...I..was really very scared... everything felt so strange."

Zavian gently moved Sheyaan's hair behind her ear and said softly,

"Don't be afraid... I'm here with you. Nothing will happen to you, okay?"

Those words and his warmth worked like magic on Sheyaan. She began to feel a little relaxed. Zavian smiled lightly and said,

"Now stop crying and let's eat. We came here to enjoy, right? So let's enjoy."

Sheyaan wiped her tears and showed a small, innocent smile. Seeing her feel a little better, everyone breathed in relief.

"Sorry..." Sheyaan said softly. "I troubled all of you as well."

Alisha lightened the mood and said,

"It's okay, Sheyaan. Now let's all enjoy together."

Everyone sat back in their chairs and started eating.

But Kalene still felt restless inside. Finding a moment, he quietly asked Zavian,

"Boss... what actually happened there? Did Sheyaan get so scared because of you?"

At that moment, Zavian was calmly eating noodles. As soon as he heard Kalene's question, he widened his eyes slightly in surprise and looked at him.

Kalene started stammering a little,

"no...no... I mean... I was just asking how she could get so... scared like that?"

Zavian calmly picked up his glass of wine and took a sip. Then in a deep, mysterious voice he said,

"Hmm... I know what you are thinking."

Zavian's eyes were fixed on his glass. Then in a cold and low voice he said,

"Do I look like a fool to you... that in the process of taking back my powers..."

Then Zavian looked toward Sheyaan and said,

"...I would hurt my own soul."

Kalene's face became covered in sweat. Every single word from Zavian was enough to shake his soul.

Zavian looked at Kalene in anger, but there was a terrifying tone in his voice.

"Quietly enjoy your food and don't look at me with those suspicious eyes, understood?"

Zavian's fear was so strong that Kalene immediately lowered his head and said,

"Forgive me, King Zavian."

Then he silently continued eating out of fear. The atmosphere was still heavy. Zavian calmly took another sip of his wine, and his eyes rested on Sheyaan's innocent face.

Looking at Sheyaan, he said in a very deep and firm voice,

"Don't worry, Sheyaan... I will always stay by your side like a shadow."

A dangerous shine appeared in his eyes as he continued in a low voice,

" and the one who daredto frighten you I'll make sure they pay for it this mystery has only just begun...let's see how the story unfolds!"
