Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Battle Between Two People

When Allen crossed the finish line, the stopwatch in Yamamoto Hidetaka's hand stopped at 1 minute, 12 seconds, and 33 milliseconds.

This speed plunged the entire sports field into a deathly silence.

Then Baki also crossed the finish line, at 1 minute, 31 seconds, and 01 milliseconds. The time it took for both of them to run 1500 meters exceeded the 3 minutes and 26 seconds set by Moroccan athlete Hicham.

This record, unbroken for 27 years, was easily shattered by two high school students today.

"This... this is impossible."

Yamamoto Hidetaka's hand trembled violently; he almost couldn't hold the stopwatch.

He repeatedly confirmed the numbers, slapped his face, and even pinched himself hard to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"Teacher, how are our results?" Allen walked leisurely to Yamamoto Hidetaka, his breathing as steady as if he had just taken a stroll.

Baki also walked over at this moment. Although there were fine beads of sweat on his forehead, he looked to be in good condition.

"Teacher, did I pass?"

"You..." Yamamoto Hidetaka swallowed hard.

"You not only broke the world record but completely rewrote the physiological limits of humanity..."

The surrounding classmates immediately erupted in cheers, boiling with excitement. Everyone stared at the two with gazes like they were looking at monsters.

"So amazing!"

"Is this the legendary Chinese Kung Fu?"

"Baki-kun, don't be sad! Although you were a little slower than Allen-kun, you're still very impressive!"

Allen smiled slightly, his gaze turning to Baki: "It seems we're both good at running."

Baki scratched his head, revealing a simple, honest smile: "Allen-kun is faster than me."

"However..." His eyes suddenly sharpened: "This makes me look forward to the fight after school even more."

Baki's fighting spirit burned fiercely; only a fight with a strong opponent was interesting.

He had originally thought this young man in front of him was just an arrogant person who got conceited after a few practice moves.

Now it seemed he had been too arrogant; this seemingly thin young man in front of him was very strong.

"Me too." Allen nodded after hearing this, his smile widening.

The conversation between the two made the surrounding air pressure drop.

Those around them unconsciously took a step back, as if feeling an invisible oppressive force.

Back in the classroom, Allen could clearly feel that his classmates' gazes towards him had changed.

Those who had once thought his challenge to Baki was overestimating himself now only had awe and curiosity in their eyes.

Several girls even approached Allen with blushing faces, asking him how he trained such amazing physical endurance and if they could train with him.

"It's just some basic training," Allen responded politely, but his peripheral vision occasionally glanced at Baki, who was sitting by the window in the back row.

He could feel that Baki was also secretly observing him. The two exchanged a tacit glance, both seeing burning fighting spirit in each other's eyes.

The female classmates nearby, seeing Allen and Baki exchanging a deep gaze, could only return to their seats in disappointment.

Why do excellent boys always end up together?

The afternoon classes were especially long for the two of them. Allen looked like he was listening, but in reality, he was already daydreaming, while Baki simply lay down and slept, maintaining his condition for the showdown after school.

Finally, the dismissal bell rang.

Allen neatly packed his schoolbag and walked to Baki's desk: "To the back of the gym now?"

Baki stood up, his eyes sparkling with excitement: "Let's go!"

The two left the classroom one after another, followed by a group of classmates who wanted to watch the excitement.

When they arrived at the open space behind the gym, everyone spontaneously formed a large circle, leaving the battlefield to the two protagonists in the center.

Baki silently assumed a fighting stance, his muscles tensed, but Allen stood unusually relaxed, his hands hanging naturally.

It wasn't that he didn't respect Baki, but that he simply didn't know how to fight.

Instead of striking a clumsy fighting pose, it was better to exert psychological pressure on his opponent with a casual stance.

Hiss!

Baki launched the first attack, a straight punch tearing through the air with a whistling sound, aimed directly at Allen's face.

This punch was incredibly fast; an ordinary person's eyes would struggle to even catch a blur.

But in Allen's perception, the trajectory of this punch was clearly visible.

He slightly tilted his head, easily dodging it, while simultaneously striking out with his right hand. This punch landed squarely on Baki's chest.

"Bang!"

With a muffled thud, Baki was instantly sent flying backward. The sharp pain in his chest felt as if he had been hit by a heavy truck, and his internal organs trembled.

When he staggered and regained his balance, he found that Allen had already returned to his seemingly casual standing posture.

"Such fast reactions..." Baki rubbed his chest, and the fighting spirit in his eyes burned even more fiercely.

He realized he might have underestimated this opponent. Was this Chinese martial arts? Why did it seem so formless yet so deadly?

The surrounding classmates immediately gasped in surprise.

"What just happened?"

"How did Baki-kun suddenly get knocked away?"

"Allen-kun is so strong!"

Baki adjusted his breathing and attacked again. This time, he changed his strategy, launching a fierce low sweep kick directly at Allen's lower body.

However, Allen seemed to have anticipated it, adjusting his position and stepping towards Baki's calf.

Baki quickly plunged his hands into the ground, forcibly twisting his body, preventing Allen's kick from landing solidly, otherwise the outcome might have already been decided.

"This guy... he can not only predict my moves but also make the most effective counterattack in an instant." Baki was incredibly shocked.

Allen was also somewhat surprised. Although his Combat Intuition allowed him to predict Baki's movements, he didn't expect Baki's reactions to be so fast. Even when predicted, he could adjust at the last moment and avert danger.

The two faced off again, and the surrounding air seemed to solidify. The students watching held their breath, staring intently at the two in the arena.

At this moment, Baki suddenly showed a smile: "Allen-kun, you are truly strong. However..."

Before he finished speaking, Baki's figure mysteriously vanished from his original spot.

When he reappeared, he was already at Allen's side, delivering an elbow strike directly to Allen's ribs.

"My practical combat experience is richer!"

This was Baki's "teleportation" technique, honed in actual combat, a visual illusion created by explosive speed.

However, Allen's Combat Intuition had already given him a premonition. The moment Baki exerted his strength, his body instinctively reacted.

Allen sidestepped, avoiding the elbow strike, and simultaneously landed a right punch directly on Baki's chin.

With another muffled thud, Baki was once again sent flying.

But this time, he didn't react like before. Instead, he used the momentum of his retreat to perform a backflip, and the moment he landed, he immediately launched an even more ferocious offensive against Allen.

The sound of fists and feet colliding echoed like a downpour in the open space, and the two's movements became faster and faster.

The surrounding onlookers could no longer clearly see their movements, only two blurred figures constantly clashing.

"This... this is too exaggerated."

"Is this really a duel between high school students?"

"It's like watching a Jackie Chan action movie."

The battle lasted for about ten minutes, and both of their breaths began to quicken.

Baki was covered in wounds, and Allen's school uniform was soaked with sweat.

Finally, with Allen's right hook directly hitting Baki's chin, the battle was declared over.

At this point, even Baki, with his Hanma Blood and incredible resilience, was knocked unconscious by a single punch and lay motionless on the ground.

Allen gasped for breath, looking at Baki lying on the ground, a slight smile playing on his lips.

This battle was much harder than he had expected.

Allen hadn't thought Baki would be so durable, enduring ten minutes of his full-power attacks before finally collapsing.

This terrifying level of resilience utterly exceeded Allen's imagination.
