Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Spike escapes from prison, the duel between Lie Haiwang and Allen

"Chief Superintendent, regarding next week's competition, I hope you can guide our training," a senior police officer in a dark blue uniform pushed the door open and said.

"No one can get strong immediately just by being guided; Judo isn't that simple."

Chief Superintendent Matsumoto didn't even lift his head, flipping through the mountain of case files piled on his desk.

His entire focus was currently on capturing the five death row inmates.

After Matsumoto finished speaking, he walked out of the office.

In the restroom, Matsumoto was relieving himself, feeling a bit distracted.

Matsumoto's mind was filled with the heinous crimes committed by the death row inmate Spec; he was determined to bring this detestable criminal to justice!

He unconsciously uttered the name: "Spec..."

"Hey, hey, hey, are you looking for me?" A giant man, two meters tall, appeared beside Matsumoto.

"S-Spec." Matsumoto quickly turned to look at Spec, fine beads of sweat breaking out on his forehead.

"W-w-why, why are you here?"

"It's just a restroom, anyone can use it, right?"

"Speaking of which, look." A plastic bag appeared in Spec's hand, with steaming white mist rising from it.

"Chinese steamed buns, I got them from a nearby convenience store, still warm," Spec offered the steaming buns to Matsumoto.

Before Matsumoto could figure out how Spec had escaped from the detention room, he felt the world spin and fainted.

"Beep—!" An alarm blared in the Tokyo Police Department, and red lights illuminated the corridor of the detention room.

Two police officers stared at the violently broken wall, with cobweb-like cracks spreading around it, as if it had been forcefully broken open by a giant beast.

"When exactly did this happen...?"

"We didn't hear a sound at all!"

"Quickly contact headquarters!" The two patrol officers watched this scene, sweat beading on their foreheads, their expressions filled with terror.

"Slap!" Suddenly, a pair of large hands pressed on the shoulders of the two patrol officers.

"You guys are too bad, entering someone's room without permission."

"I didn't go anywhere, alright, everyone out."

...Inside the Shinshinkai dojo, the students sat kneeling around the dojo with serious expressions.

In the center of the dojo, Allen and a muscular man with a long braid stood facing each other.

This muscular man with a long braid was Kaiou Retsu, rumored to be a peerless genius in the history of Chinese martial arts.

In the Underground Tournament, he once pushed the champion, Baki, to the brink of defeat.

"Bow to each other!"

"Assume your stance!"

"Begin!"

"Bang!" As a student forcefully struck the large drum in front of him.

The moment the drum sounded, Allen's figure had already flashed like a ghost in front of Kaiou Retsu, his right fist tearing through the air, aimed directly at the throat!

"So fast!" Kaiou Retsu's pupils contracted sharply; he leaned back abruptly, the fist grazing his right arm.

"Is this Shinshinkai's Karate?" Kaiou Retsu retreated three steps, a burning pain shooting through his arm; just being grazed by the fist had left his right arm bleeding profusely.

Katsumi Orochi listened to Kaiou Retsu's exclamation, wanting to speak but hesitating; he knew that Allen's punch was purely about speed, without any technique, it was pure instinct.

The students in the dojo held their breath, staring intently at the two in the center of the arena.

Allen's movements were devoid of any flashy embellishments; every strike was fierce and sharp, concise and deadly.

Kaiou Retsu steadied himself, his fighting spirit burning brighter in his eyes; he adopted the opening stance of Chinese traditional martial arts, Praying Mantis Fist, his entire body tensed like a fully drawn bow.

"Bang!"

The two clashed again, the sound of fists and feet colliding echoing through the dojo.

Kaiou Retsu's techniques were exquisite and unparalleled, each move containing a rich foundation of martial arts.

Allen, on the other hand, relied on his extraordinary reaction speed and Combat Intuition, always managing to avoid attacks with the smallest movements while launching the most effective counterattacks.

It wasn't that Allen didn't want to use Shinshin Karate, but this martial art was simply incomplete, and he was better off fighting by instinct.

"This guy... is learning in combat!"

Kaiou Retsu was shocked to discover that Allen's moves were changing at a visible speed, beginning to incorporate characteristics of Praying Mantis Fist.

Katsumi Orochi didn't say much when he saw that Allen wasn't using Shinshin Karate.

After all, in their spar, he could tell that Shinshinkai's modern Karate was far weaker than China's ancient martial arts.

If he were to spar with Kaiou Retsu, he might be defeated in a single move.

Truly worthy of a country with five thousand years of history; when the Kanto Plain was still a vast ocean, the Chinese people were already honing their martial arts.

Such exquisite martial arts fascinated him; Katsumi Orochi wanted Karate to fully absorb the essence of Chinese martial arts and quickly complete the true modern Karate.

The intense battle continued; Kaiou Retsu looked at the unharmed Allen, unable to help but praise him in his heart.

He hadn't expected the Shinshinkai members to be so strong; for a mere high school student to possess such powerful ability, it must be inseparable from their martial arts.

Kaiou Retsu couldn't believe that a modern Karate would so boldly abandon its original martial arts framework, to the point where it could be said it no longer resembled Karate at all.

Kaiou Retsu greatly admired Katsumi Orochi for such a bold decision.

Kaiou Retsu suddenly changed his moves, his arms swinging like a praying mantis's forelegs, creating a sharp whooshing sound.

Allen's Combat Intuition wildly alerted him, and his body instinctively leaned back, narrowly avoiding this killing move.

Allen was secretly shocked; Kaiou Retsu's strength far exceeded his expectations, and he had almost been hit.

"Allen, be careful!" Kaiou Retsu growled, his figure darting like a ghost, his right leg whipping towards Allen's waist like a whip.

As Allen dodged the attack with a sidestep, his right hand, mimicking Kaiou Retsu's Praying Mantis Fist, transformed into a palm-knife and went straight for his throat.

"Bang!"

Both retreated several steps simultaneously; Kaiou Retsu touched the red mark on his throat, a look of surprise flashing in his eyes.

"I lost." Kaiou Retsu was shocked; this young man's learning ability was simply terrifying.

"Allen, your talent is astonishing." Kaiou Retsu wiped the sweat from his forehead, his eyes sparkling with admiration.

In just a few minutes of sparring, this slender high school student had already grasped some of the essence of Praying Mantis Fist.

Such terrifying talent reminded Kaiou Retsu of his good friend Baki; their learning abilities could be said to be on par.

Not to mention, this young man also possessed terrifying reactions, intuition, and a monstrous physique; he was truly a genius born for combat.

The dojo was silent; everyone was too stunned by the magnificent match to speak.

Katsumi Orochi was the first to recover, applauding vigorously: "Excellent! Absolutely excellent!"

The students then awoke as if from a dream, erupting into enthusiastic applause and cheers.
