"What is it, Pepper? I might be a bit busy right now!"
Tony, who was on his way to Obadiah's location, suddenly received a call from Pepper. For this woman who was one of his favorites, Tony still took the time to answer the phone despite being busy.
"Tony, you don't know how crazy he (Obadiah) is right now. He's created a giant killing robot; it's absolutely terrifying."
From Pepper's panicked tone, Tony summarized some not-so-optimistic news: it seemed his suit had been imitated, or something similar. He thought of the suit fragments he had left behind in the desert. This was not good news, meaning Obadiah had been in contact with the group that kidnapped him for a long time.
"Get away from there, Pepper! Run, don't stay there!"
Tony didn't dare think too far ahead and quickly told Pepper to leave that dangerous place. It looked like Pepper had accidentally seen Obadiah returning with his 'harvest' and followed him, discovering his secret. This was not a good thing for Tony because Obadiah could kill Pepper at any moment.
Bang! Bang!
A few gunshots rang out, and the phone hung up, leaving Tony anxious and desperate to fly to Pepper's side immediately.
"Jarvis, speed up."
"Yes, sir."
Receiving Tony's command, Jarvis increased the energy transmission. The suit flew like a meteor toward the secret factory near Stark Industries; this was the place Obadiah had chosen.
"This is the feeling of flying!!!"
Only Artoria could now leap across rooftops so leisurely. She wasn't worried at all about Pepper getting hurt. When she first used Luck Magecraft, she could only cast it on Tony and didn't know the effect. After studying it for a while recently, she had figured out some characteristics of this type of BUFF magecraft. Luck was merely meant to make a person suffer a bit less in a major disaster; being able to make a bullet aimed at the heart deviate by a few centimeters was already quite good, but the person would still be hit. If they died, it could only be said their fate wasn't strong enough.
After casting a Luck BUFF on Pepper, Artoria specifically sought out Helen Cho to create some nano-gadgets. Protecting Pepper's life should be possible, so Artoria wasn't very panicked.
However, leaping through this big city was a first. She felt a bit like Spider-Man; this feeling of leaving gravity behind was truly nice.
"Oh! I'm late; it's already started."
When Artoria leisurely arrived near the location, she saw fires starting to break out in many places. The cries and calls for help from various people were heard so clearly; this was more real than the memories sent by her clones. She was now at the edge of the battlefield.
"He's getting thrashed. Big brother, looking at that weight class, it's not something you can take head-on. Idiot."
Loosening her shoulders, Artoria silently complained as she watched Tony get hammered away. She didn't enter the battlefield immediately; she used the magecraft 'Clairvoyance' to search the surroundings and finally saw Pepper. Seeing her unharmed, Artoria breathed a sigh of relief. This daring sister-in-law was truly worrying.
"I'm a person who holds grudges. I will definitely repay the debt for harming my family. I've waited twenty years for this day! You old thief, today, even if God comes, I'm sending you to see Satan. I said so."
"Projection, start."
Talking to herself, Artoria used Projection Magecraft. She couldn't summon the true Holy Lance yet, but she could still play around with a Pseudo Holy Lance. Soon, a silver-white knight's lance appeared in Artoria's hand.
"Old thief, die!"
The dragon factor within her was roaring; it craved the battle of fire and blood. At this moment, Artoria's 'revenge' will began to resonate with it. A faint sense of pressure emerged from Artoria's body, and a dim golden light appeared on the Pseudo Holy Lance. Artoria gathered her strength and charged toward that tall killing machine.
"Tony, what have you ever done for this company? I am the one who pushed this company to the top."
"You don't deserve to inherit Stark Industries at all. It's mine."
Obadiah, sitting inside the iron monger, roared crazily. His eyes were full of madness and hatred, as if Tony had done something to wrong him.
"Obadiah, I respect you as an elder. If you can let go and surrender, I'll have the judge make things easier for you."
Tony spoke while dodging Obadiah's attacks.
"You're far too stupid, Tony. Tonight, one of us must fall. They won't waste time on a dead man."
Having spent a long time mingling with various high-level circles, Obadiah understood the nature of those politicians better than Tony; they could talk circles around the dead.
"Then there's nothing more to say, Obadiah."
"Go to hell, Tony!"
The two of them didn't notice a point of light like a meteor crashing toward them. Intending to fight to the death, they continued their struggle, surrounded by damaged vehicles and building debris.
