"So hungry! So hungry!"
"When will this low-grade energy replenishment end?"
In the giant cafeteria, Artoria's main body was frantically eating at a table full of food. Recently, her energy consumption had been way too fast. Many of her powers were energy-intensive, such as Shadow Clones, Rasengan, and physical training, which all required nutrition. Especially the basic operations of her body, like the Dragon Factor, required massive amounts of energy.
Now Artoria needed to spend most of her time eating high-protein food. A whole cow would be gone in five or six minutes. Currently, the ones facing the outside world were mostly Artoria's clones, while she spent most of her time 'eating, eating, eating!' Recently, the cooks had started complaining; three head chefs had already collapsed from exhaustion. If not for the high salary, they would have run away long ago; it was just too exhausting.
"Maybe now I can compare to Galacta?"
Stuffing a large piece of beef into her mouth, Artoria's cheeks puffed out like a squirrel's, while her mind thought of that well-built girl with an amazing appetite, Galacta. She was the daughter born from 'Uncle Devourer,' who was often beaten and killed by various heroes. She didn't look as tall as Uncle Devourer, but her appetite was equally staggering, and she ate high-grade stuff.
"The energy from the Dragon Vein isn't enough. honkai energy might work, or for Chakra, sealing a Nine-Tailed inside might actually help withstand this excessive consumption."
Artoria touched her flat and smooth belly. Having eaten nearly hundreds of pounds of food, there wasn't even a hint of a bulge. Artoria could fully feel her stomach rapidly breaking down the steak she just ate, which was quickly digested and dissolved. And just like that, she was hungry again.
"If only there were something magical like Senzu Beans. Even those with appetites as large as Saiyans can get full from just one. The healing part doesn't matter, but being hungry all the time is miserable."
"Or the special steaks from Super God Academy would be good too. Eating like this constantly... if it weren't for the cheat tool that is Shadow Clones, it would be a real hassle."
Lamenting like this, Artoria remained obsessed with the food, unable to stop.
"master, the special news alerts you set have been updated. Would you like me to read them for you?"
"Please, Saturday."
While eating, Artoria listened to Saturday's report. From it, she learned that the founder of Osborn, Norman Osborn, had been hospitalized due to illness. Doctors concluded that Osborn didn't have much time left. Looking at this news, it seemed the Old Green Goblin was truly failing; the disease had already endangered his life.
Despite saying that, Artoria still couldn't be sure if this was the movie version of the Green Goblin or the comic version. If it was the movie, this 'illness' might be real. If it was the comic, then a major villain was about to appear in this world.
"Saturday, check if Osborn Industries has a 'Human Enhancement Formula' project intended to boost physical capabilities. I want detailed information."
"Yes, master."
Stuffing a meatball into her mouth, Artoria mumbled her instructions to Saturday. Soon, a project proposal appeared before her. The moment she saw it, Artoria knew things were bad. It seemed there wouldn't just be The Lizard Doctor, but a big Green Goblin as well. God bless Little Spider so he can survive!
"The illness is just a pretext. He must have already taken the formula and is faking the illness to prevent others from noticing anything."
Inferring this, Artoria felt she had discovered the truth. Then, when it came time to fight Thanos, would it be the Thanos with the Heart of the Universe? Just thinking about it gave Artoria a headache; that would be trouble. The movie Thanos wanted to wipe out half of all life because of population growth, but if it was the comic Thanos, that would be terrible. He killed people because he loved the Goddess of Death—the two are fundamentally different in nature.
"I Hope it's the movie version! If it's the comic one, I'll probably die a hundred times over."
Thinking this, Artoria felt that all her guesses might come true. Not daring to speculate further, she continued to replenish her energy, but her heart remained uneasy.
On the other side, an equally anxious Peter, carrying his backpack, arrived at the entrance of the Osborn building. He wore large glasses that covered half his face, disguising himself as a highly nearsighted nerd. After glancing around, he straightened his clothes and walked toward the building. What he feared most now was his good friend, Harry Osborn, appearing in front of him... but sometimes, things happen just like that; the more you fear something, the more it comes for you.
"Hey! Peter, what are you doing here?"
A familiar voice came from behind. Peter's mind went blank instantly, with only one thought: 'It's over.' He was discovered. What should he do?
