Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Youth!!!

"From this day forward, I will be closing the weapons manufacturing division."

The next day, after a beautiful night's sleep, Tony tidied himself up and quickly held a press conference, announcing the immediate closure of Stark Industries' weapons division. At that moment, the entire United States was shocked. The media reporters all went crazy; this was indeed big news. Obadiah was stunned; the Stark Industries he had painstakingly managed for so many years was about to be ruined by this kid.

"Sorry, Tony's body hasn't recovered yet, and his mind is a bit unclear. That's all for today!"

As he spoke, Obadiah hurriedly tried to lead Tony away, pulling him up from where he sat on the floor eating a cheeseburger. He truly couldn't imagine the impact on Stark Industries' stock after Tony said those words.

"Saturday, start buying up stocks with all our might. We're going to ruin this Big Bald Head."

After receiving the news of Tony's announcement, Artoria smilingly directed Saturday to begin acquiring those stocks that had already been dumped. These guys, seeing the situation was bad, all wanted to dump them quickly, which allowed Artoria to take great advantage. Her family's industry should return to her own people. Those fence-sitting bastards would be kicked out of the board of directors, and she'd leave a few puppets; then she wouldn't have to worry about anything. At least the discordant voices within would be reduced significantly.

"Use all the computers for me to collect all those scattered stocks. As long as someone dumps them, we'll take them. Don't let a single one go."

"Yes, master."

After giving the instructions, Artoria sat there quietly and placed her consciousness into her mind. This was where her Gold Finger was located. In the past, she would get a bit crazy whenever she saw the pool, completely ignoring other things. Now she decided to see what other functions this thing actually had.

"So empty!!!"

She looked at the patterns on the light screen and silently complained. On it, only FGO was in a lit state, while other icons were dim. Yet this pool in front of her could actually pull out things from outside of FGO, which made her feel a bit strange. However, this thing must have a great connection to her rebirth into this world.

She had always had a feeling, not knowing whether to be grateful or a bit resentful, but she was also very curious. She didn't know what had actually happened to her in her previous life. Back then, she was just an ordinary person who, besides liking to watch anime and play games, had nothing special about her. How could transmigration have suddenly fallen upon her?

"What exactly are you?"

Even though her heart was filled with all sorts of feelings, Artoria still suppressed her thoughts. She turned her gaze toward the light screen that was so mysterious to her. Although it was filled with games she used to play, how could an ordinary phone allow someone to be reborn and transmigrate? This was simply too amazing.

With such thoughts, Artoria extended her hands and placed them on the light screen. They didn't pass through; the thing felt like a physical object.

"Fingerprint input successful, opening screen lock."

Suddenly a string of text appeared, and Artoria felt the space beneath her hands go empty, nearly making her fall. Fortunately, Artoria stabilized herself in time. She looked with surprise at the changes on the light screen. The icons that were originally just a few empty ones all lit up instantly. A series of games from her computer also appeared on it. Various icons appeared and lit up, all gathering at one point. A red gacha pool slowly floated up and flew toward the light screen.

"NO! NO! NO!"

Seeing this scene, Artoria suddenly felt a bit of regret. Why did she have to be so meddlesome as to open some screen? This was going to be a bit troublesome. What would she do in the future without this thing?

"Auto-upgrade complete. Use?"

Before Artoria could be secretly distressed, the light screen suddenly popped up with such a sentence. Artoria blankly stepped forward and clicked yes. And then, there was no then. She stood there foolishly for a while, and then Artoria understood—it was still going to let her figure out how to 'play' on her own, wasn't it!

"Foolish operation, no intelligent guidance. Bad review!"

Coming to the side of the blue pool, she skillfully pulled out a pile of gems and added the saint quartz Shards, throwing them all in at once. After throwing them in, a black hole appeared on the now-changed light screen.

"Urgh~~!"

A retching sound came through, which made Artoria feel a sense of malice.

"This... it would have been better not to upgrade! To hell with you."

Looking at the items wrapped in black substance being spat out from the black hole, Artoria's face turned completely black. She had absolutely no desire to pick them up. Moreover, it seemed that instead of just one item coming out like before, ten items appeared at once this time.

"Single pulls turned into ten-pulls. I really don't want this."

Even though the extraction was over, Artoria didn't have the slightest desire to touch that pile of things. Her mind was filled with that 'vomiting' sound; it was practically mental pollution.

"Heart as clear as ice, though the sky falls, I remain unperturbed!"

Muttering to herself, Artoria used Projection Magecraft to project a small wooden stick for herself before she dared to walk forward and flip through that pile of things. Please forgive her for being a clean freak; she was truly unwilling to pick up that pile of things directly with her hands.

"Let me see!"

Flipping out the topmost item, the black substance instantly fell away. Artoria saw a card with the pattern of a silvery-white winged Pegasus appearing on it, but the words on it made Artoria very confused.

"Phantom Beast Type. It's actually a horse instead of a cow. This wave of gacha has a conscience!"

"Ugh! As expected, I shouldn't have had expectations of you. You really are an undercover Special Agent sent by that fat guy, aren't you!"

After getting a good item, Artoria happily began to flip through that pile of black substance. However, a series of identical 'Youthful Jumpsuits'—those bright green clothes—made Artoria's face turn completely black. Weren't these the clothes that Might Guy enthusiastically recommended? But what was the use of this stuff?

"..."

Goodbye to 'Youth'. Not wanting to look at that pile of 'Youth' for another second, Artoria threw them all into the blue pool for recycling, took that card, and left the consciousness space.

After Artoria left, the black hole began to operate again, and a pile of 'Youth' was spat out once more. It seemed it had become a very picky eater.
