Lizzy groaned, glancing over at Vaelis as soon as she felt her stomach settle. "Yes. What did you think would happen after our many rides the other night?"
Vaelis puffed out his chest, pride surging through him. "So, that means the child is mine?"
"Yes and I'd rather not talk about this right now." She gagged, the coppery smell of the blood invading her nostrils. "Please, I just want to lay down."
Phantom put a reassuring hand against her back, guiding her towards the entrance of the den. "Vaelis, clean up the mess. I will see to her needs and the cubs before I hunt and you take a turn." Vaelis opened his mouth to protest, but Phantom's glare silenced him quickly. "If you are going to be a pack member, you must start acting like a pack member. Everyone cares for the young, no matter which mate sired them. Lizzy comes first and right now she needs this cleaned up while I clean her up. You may have a turn later."
