Chapter 6: The Weight of a God

Hyuri's Palace

The meeting hall had been damaged.

So they gathered within Hyuri's palace instead.

Silence lingered in the room.

Yura stood beside Yuri, his usual lazy posture intact—

Riyu and Zack remained close by.

Ryuha leaned quietly against the wall.

Then—

Something changed.

The air grew heavy.

Oppressive.

Crushing.

Yura's relaxed expression vanished.

For the first time in a long while—

His eyes sharpened.

Yuri clutched her chest.

"…This energy…" she whispered.

"Whose is it?"

Ryuha tilted his masked face slightly.

"There's no doubt," he said calmly.

"This is the Dragon God's energy."

The room froze.

Hyuri's breath caught.

"T-This is… the Dragon God…?"

Her voice trembled.

"We can't defeat this…"

A pause.

"…We can't."

Zack swallowed hard.

Yuri nodded unconsciously.

"Yes… we can't win…"

"Enough."

Riyu's voice cut through the fear like a blade.

"Panicking won't save anyone. This isn't the time."

Yura turned slightly toward Ryuha.

"Big brother…"

His voice was low.

"You can sense energy better than I can."

Ryuha shook his head.

"No."

A brief pause.

"It's not that."

He looked up slightly.

"This energy… is simply too vast."

"And strange."

"It doesn't make me afraid," he continued calmly.

"But its pressure…"

A pause.

"…is overwhelming."

Before anyone could respond—

The palace doors burst open.

A soldier rushed in, pale, trembling.

"L-Lady Hyuri!" he shouted.

"P-Please… look outside!"

They rushed out—

And froze.

The sky had turned black.

Not night—

But something deeper.

Cracks spread across it like shattered glass.

Even the clouds were tearing apart.

As if the world itself was breaking.

Yura clenched his fist.

"…I can feel it," he muttered.

His voice was tense.

"But I can't pinpoint it."

A pause.

"It's everywhere."

Shock spread across the group.

"Th-Then what do we do?" Yuri asked.

"We don't even know where he is!"

Yura fell silent.

Anthers…

Where are you?

My people… nothing must happen to them.

Ryuha stepped forward.

"Standing here won't change anything," he said calmly.

"We need a plan."

Hyuri straightened.

"…I have one."

Elsewhere — The Demon Kingdom

The sky rippled.

Then—

He appeared.

A colossal figure hovered above the Demon Kingdom.

Wings spread wide—

Casting a shadow that swallowed the land below.

Behind him stood two figures.

Rex.

And Rox.

The Dragon God gazed down.

"So this is it…" he murmured.

"The Demon Kingdom of this era."

Within the Kingdom

The moment his presence descended—

Everything changed.

The Four Clan Leaders felt it instantly.

And moved.

Elf Territory

Twras stood at the head of an enormous army.

Ten thousand soldiers.

Every one of them elite.

He raised his hand.

"Prepare yourselves!"

His voice thundered across the forest.

"Today—"

His eyes burned with resolve.

"—we prove our strength to Lord Yura!"

A beat.

"That we are the strongest warriors of this kingdom!"

"HAAAAAA!"

Ten thousand voices roared in unison—

Shaking the earth itself.

Across the Kingdom

The Orcs prepared.

The Spirits gathered.

The Dragons took to the skies.

War had begun.

Above the Kingdom

The Dragon God smiled faintly.

"What a beautiful world…"

His voice was calm.

Almost gentle.

"Everyone looks… so happy."

Then—

He released a fraction of his power.

Ten percent.

The world screamed.

A shockwave rippled across the entire kingdom.

Normal demons collapsed instantly.

All across the land—

Bodies fell.

Weapons slipped from trembling hands.

Even elite warriors dropped to one knee—

Struggling to breathe.

Sweat poured down their faces as they fought against the invisible pressure.

Then—

Light flashed.

The Four Clan Leaders appeared in the sky—

Along with their strongest warriors.

Iera stepped forward.

Fury burned in her eyes.

"Listen carefully, Dragon God!"

Her voice roared across the sky.

"If you touch this kingdom—"

She pointed at him.

"I'll rip your arm off!"

Silence.

A shadow moved.

No one saw it clearly.

Not even Yura's elites.

Rox appeared beside her.

Too fast to follow.

Too fast to react.

A flash.

Iera's arm fell.

Spinning through the air.

Blood followed.

For a single moment—

Nothing happened.

Then—

Pain.

"A—AAAAAAHHH!!"

Her scream tore through the sky.

The other three leaders froze.

Shock.

Disbelief.

Fear.

The Dragon God didn't even look at her.
