Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Arrival

The meeting hall trembled.

Without warning—

Space twisted violently at the center of the room.

And a man appeared.

Silver armor.

Cold, emotionless eyes.

A presence so overwhelming… it felt as if the air itself had grown heavy.

Rex glanced around lazily, scratching the back of his head.

"Ah… damn," he muttered.

"I teleported somewhere random again."

His gaze drifted across the room—

Humans.

Demons.

Leaders.

A crooked smile spread across his face.

"Well then…"

His voice turned casual.

"I guess I'll start killing from here."

Before anyone could react—

He vanished.

A shockwave exploded across the hall.

In the next instant—

Rex stood before Yuri.

His fist was already swinging.

Too fast.

Too violent.

Yuri barely reacted in time—

Twisting her body—

The attack missed her by a hair.

And then—

Impact.

BOOM—

The ground behind her was obliterated.

Stone.

Steel.

Everything—

Erased.

A massive crater tore through the meeting hall, debris collapsing endlessly into darkness below.

Riyu stepped forward, fury igniting in his eyes.

"Who are you?!" he roared.

"Why are you attacking us?!"

Rex slowly turned toward him.

"…Huh?"

Then—

He laughed.

"Oh? A lowly demon is getting angry at me?"

Steel flashed.

Rex's blade shot toward Riyu's neck.

CLANG—

Riyu blocked just in time.

Sparks exploded.

The impact forced him back, his feet scraping across the ground—

But he didn't fall.

"Zack!" he shouted.

"Protect Lady Yuri and Lady Hyuri! I'll handle him!"

"Got it!" Zack responded instantly.

Rex leapt back.

Then surged forward again.

Slash.

Block.

Slash.

Block.

Each strike heavier than the last.

Riyu's arms trembled—

But his stance held firm.

He inhaled sharply.

"Sword Destruction."

Energy surged along his blade, condensing into a violent aura.

He stepped forward—

And struck.

Rex raised his sword to block—

But—

The force exploded through him.

His body was launched backward.

CRASH—

He slammed into the far wall, cracks spreading across it like shattered glass.

Dust filled the air.

For a moment—

Silence.

Then—

Rex straightened.

Rolling his shoulders casually.

"Oh?"

A faint grin appeared.

"That pushed me pretty far."

His eyes gleamed.

"Was that your strongest attack?"

Riyu stared at him coldly.

"No."

A pause.

"That was my weakest."

For the first time—

Rex's expression changed.

"…I see."

Then—

He laughed.

Soft.

Amused.

"Then I can't win right now."

A pause.

"Not yet."

He sheathed his sword.

"My power hasn't fully returned."

He turned away slightly.

"But don't worry…"

His voice dropped.

"I'll fight you again."

A faint distortion formed around him.

"Next time—at full power."

And he vanished.

Silence returned.

Heavy.

Unsettling.

Zack, Yuri, and Hyuri rushed toward Riyu.

"Where did he go?" Yuri asked anxiously.

"…He retreated," Riyu replied.

Then—

Light flashed.

Two figures appeared.

One of them—

Was unmistakable.

"L-Lord Yura?!" Riyu exclaimed.

"How are you here? Is your work finished?"

Yura nodded casually.

"Yeah."

"I stopped by the First Kingdom first. Found out Hyuri called another meeting… so I came."

Before anyone could say more—

Yuri rushed forward.

And hugged him tightly.

For a brief moment—

Yura froze.

Then gently—

He placed his hand on her head.

"I'm here now," he said quietly.

"You did well."

Yuri looked up at him.

"Yura… who is he?"

Her gaze shifted.

To the man standing beside him.

A mask covered his face—

Just like Riyu's.

Yura spoke calmly.

"He's my brother."

Silence.

Everyone froze.

"…Ryuha."

Yuri slowly stepped back.

"Y-Your… brother?"

Hyuri stared in disbelief.

"You never mentioned having a brother."

"I didn't need to," Yura replied.

"But he is."

Ryuha chuckled softly.

"So this is Yuri…"

He tilted his head slightly.

"Your wife, right?"

Yura nodded.

"Yeah… big brother."

For once—

A faint hint of excitement slipped into his voice.

Yuri frowned.

"But… I've been with you since childhood," she said.

"You never had any family."

"That's because…" Yura replied calmly,

"He lived in another world."

Yuri crossed her arms.

"What kind of brother skips his own brother's wedding?"

Ryuha shrugged.

"No one from our world can come here."

A pause.

"Only Yura can move between worlds."

Yuri's expression turned serious.

"…Then where are you from?"

Ryuha smiled faintly beneath his mask.

"My kingdom?"

A beat.

"The Monster Kingdom."

The air froze.

Hyuri swallowed.

"…Are you the Dark Lord?"

"Yeah."

Her voice trembled.

"The one who conquered the Nether World… and built the Monster Kingdom?"

Ryuha scratched his head.

"Is that a big deal?"

Hyuri stared at him.

"If even one being from the Nether World entered this world…"

Her voice shook.

"Nations would unite just to kill it."

"…Oh."

Ryuha blinked.

"I see."

Yura glanced at the destroyed hall.

"By the way…"

He pointed casually.

"What's with the giant hole?"

Riyu stepped forward and bowed.

"Lord Yura. A servant of the Dragon God appeared."

Zack added,

"We've also received news…"

A pause.

"One kingdom has already been destroyed."

Yura's eyes darkened.

"That wasn't just 'someone'."

His voice turned cold.

"It was the Dragon God's servant."

Ryuha crossed his arms.

"Then I'll fight too."

Silence.

Everyone looked at him.

"This war…"

A faint grin formed.

"I'm joining."

Gasps echoed across the hall.

"T-Then… our chances—!" someone muttered.

Yura turned toward Hyuri.

"So… why was this meeting called?"

Hyuri clenched her fists.

"…Every kingdom refused."

A pause.

"No one is willing to fight."

Yura sighed.

"Oh."

Completely calm.

As if he had expected nothing else.

Another Dimension

Endless void.

Silence.

The Dragon God opened his eyes.

"Destroy."

Reality shattered.

The dimension collapsed.

And in the next instant—

The Dragon God stepped into the world.
