It only took about a month for Riley to come to terms with his new life and the ups and downs it came with.
For one , he found out his mom is actually an assassin/ hit woman or something like that who was feared and respected by the Criminal Underworld.
This had advantages of her being absolutely loaded to the point that they were currently living in a very nice expensive Penthouse in the outskirts of Brooklyn.
Usually it was just the two of them so Riley got to understand his mom and know alot about her.
Edith Rúnar was pretty eccentric and honestly quite manipulative to the few staff that Riley would see around mostly using magic to get whatever she wanted whenever she wanted.
Her life style at first consisted of mostly staying with Riley at the Penthouse and relaxing with wine and overly elaborate expensive meals that she charms hotel staff to get when she didn't feel like paying.
Atleast , this was her life for the first two weeks after his birth. After that period elapsed , Riley spent alot of time with a clone created through magic and runes to be as real as possible.
At first , Riley got the impression that she had already gotten bored of parenthood and didn't care about him , but that apparently wasn't the case.
"You are going to be crazy strong one day Riley , stronger than I could ever be....I just...hope it is enough when the time comes."
Those were Edith's words as she carried him in her arms and watched the stars on the Penthouse balcony.
Internally Riley wondered 'Imagine she knew how much potential my tiny body held.'
It appeared that Edith was actually just worried about Riley's survival and safety around her plus she wanted Riley to grow and develop on his own with minimal influence. Basically her version of tough love and freedom.
Besides the occasional quality bonding moments every week or so with his real mom , Riley had been studying his body and self as much as his attention span could allow him.
As a sort of mandatory ritual since day one of leaving the hospital where he was born in , Riley spent atleast six hours a day basking in the sun on their rooftop terrace.
Strangely enough , it was infact his mom Edith who had initiated the tradition by taking him out to the sun after feeding him milk for the first time and it kinda stuck.
Who would complain though since it gave him the perfect conditions to begun unlocking his dormant Kryptonian potential. This also allowed Riley to make another discovery.
The Mutated Kryptonian bloodline seemed to sacrifice growth speed for growth potential similar to Superman's codex infused physique , or maybe it just needed him to grow up and age abit which was likely the more probable answer.
Currently Riley could sit in the sun for the full six hours and barely feel a soft warm wisp of power flow into his body , but atleast the sun still gave him a very calming and comforting feeling whenever he basked in it.
On the other hand , the essence of the Ourobos constellation had shown a fair bit of change in ways only Riley could feel. The change was slow and continuous in his body improving it bit by bit everyday.
Basically , Riley would wake up everyday feeling slightly more coordinated and stronger than the day before. He could tell that the essence would work long time and still had alot of changes to bring so he just let it happen.
As for Riley's Demigod and Legacy Divinity , it took a week of intense focus but he had managed to locate and get a read on his Divine energy.
It was about the size of a grown man's fist much to Riley's surprise but sensing was not controlling and so far Riley couldn't even move a spark of it anywhere else but was resigned to watching it flow through his body.
This wasn't the absolute limit he had reached though because his second form or more like other form had a much higher affinity and attunement to the energy.
One thing that Riley had forgotten until of recent is the information known about children of Loki from the Magnus Chase Novels. A child of Loki is capable of being born with a fluid gender disorder which made it so they randomly switched genders almost daily.
It was only when Riley turned 2½ that his body seemed to finally reveal that he was gender fluid. In his male form , Riley's body seemed tougher and more resistant to things like cold and disease or injury.
His female form on the other hand was better at sensing and attending with the Divine energy in his body but it felt instinctively slightly weaker in terms of physical stats though with his naturally growing strength that would eventually become a minor issue.
With the energy's help , Riley managed to scan his entire body as a bonus which was a useful trick and gave Riley an edge in gaining control and mastery of his powers.
With his power growing on its own , Riley just chose to relax and enjoy his life but of course something came up. Some of the changes brought by the essence slowly integrating with his body became very apparent garnering attention.

3 years later
The first evidence of change was on his third birthday which , like every other before that happened in their Penthouse with only his mom and him plus alot of really cool magic.
Riley , while sitting on the small illusory throne his mom conjured with magic , was thinking back on the past few months when he had finally begun to feel a major change in his body.
So far , at 3 years old , Riley was pretty sure he was capable of taking down a full grown man if he fought with pure stats alone and he could feel a sense of anticipation like something important was going to happen.
'Hopefully it isn't anything bad.....though considering the world i'm in....'
