They walked onward, after all the building they were in last time wasn't far from here.
Yet it still felt like ages.
Both Luicien and Victoria thought back to the first time they were here.
How they first met and the danger they were in. The horrors of the soulless ones. The thought of getting answers.
But they came out of thought when they were face to face with the building.
Both stared at it, remembering the horrors that happened last time.
"June, you have returned."
Victoria heard a horrific sounding voice; she looked behind her and then forward but no one else was there other than the three of them. It was as if she was the only one hearing the voice. She pulled out her staff.
"Be on guard".
The very same words she said the first time they were there.
Luicien looked at her with a knowing look.
"Yea we don't want a repeat of last time".
Mika looked at both.
"What happened last time?".
Luicien turned to him.
"Me and Victoria we're attack by multiple Soulless one's".
Mika's look changed to one of alert.
"Understood".
Both Luicien and Mika pulled out their swords in unison.
Upon entering the building, Victoria and Luicien both got a heavy feeling but not Mika, this feeling became stronger especially when they passed the picture of the Zentoid that created the Soulless ones.
Victoria stared at the picture.
What could this be, this feeling.
She thought, until Luicien tapped her.
Don't worry Victoria I know the feeling.
He thought while he gave her a knowing look.
Making it through the hallways only gave them flashbacks to the events that had occurred. Especially for Victoria, as the face of the spider looking soulless one played on her mind. This reminded her though.
No sight of soulless ones, that's a little strange they were on top of us the last time we were here. Although if any were here, we'd be in trouble, I'd have a hard time fighting, that teleportation spell did take a toll.
(Cough, Cough, Cough).
Victoria paused in here tracks, as her coughing sounded violent.
Luicien went to her side.
"Victoria are you ok?".
She stood back up straight.
"It's nothing don't worry".
Victoria continued to walk on.
Luicien looked worried but realistically couldn't do anything about it, so he also continued onward.
They reached a room unlike any of the others.
This room was completely metal.
Victoria took a closer look, the metal doors that were in fact titanium were busted down.
What happened here? A soulless one couldn't do this.
She stepped into the room and immediately was hit we a heavy way of magical energy.
The energy was most harsh in the middle of the room, where a empty stand stood.
Something must have been here, what if I... Would my body even be able to handle the magic strain? I don't think I've really got a choice right now.
She turned back to Luicien and Mika.
"I'm going to try something".
She lifted her staff up with both her hands on it.
TATICAL MAGIC: GLIMPSES IN THE PAST.
Suddenly there was a sort of simulation to the room, it showed what the room looked like before the door was busted down.
In the middle was giant gem of some kind, one that emitted a dark type of magic.
That's when the door busted down and a group of four hooded people took thus gem.
Victoria began sweating a lot, as her face crinkled. This caused her to stop the spell, after all she got everything, she needed.
She was forced to place a hand on her chest, as she started to cough relentlessly.
Even gasping for air.
Luicien went to her side again, placing his hand on her back.
"Victoria what's wrong".
After she stopped coughing, she propped herself up.
"I- I over did it".
She was huffing, barley being able to speak.
She smiled though.
"You were right about one thing Luicien. That gem was the thing drawing you back here".
Luicien helped her stand back up fully.
"Now we need to find the gem".
The group headed back out of the room and out of the building.
Something made them stop quickly in their tracks.
Victoria gasped in shocked because there in front of her, was the spider looking Soulless one that tried to kill her. However, this time it laid stiff on the floor dead.
This... this wasn't here when we came. It was freshly killed...
All three Luicien, Victoria and Mika looked at each other with wide eyes.
Victorias eyes were drawn to look up Infront of them, The four cloaked people stood there barley being visible.
Their still here? Could they know that we were here? Shit this could be bad.
Victoria began to panic as she thought this, but needed to stay undisturbed.
"Look ahead".
She whispered to the other two.
Luicien and Mika looked forward and saw the cloaked figures.
Luicien was the first to speak, not even thinking.
"Who are you people".
One of the cloaked figures step forward pulling down his hood, to show short blonde hair.
"I'm Witter, we sensed magic and we cannot allow anyone to be witness to this".
Victoria examined the guy.
These people could it be.
Before Luicien could speak Victoria stepped forward.
"You people are part of the dark mages, a group dedicated to worshipping the soulless ones. The people who kill mages, aka the mage killers".
Witter looked at Victoria and smirked.
"Aren't you clever, but what's happening here today is none of your business, Victoria Osuna".
Victoria narrowed in on him.
"You know my full name?".
Luicien looked at Victoria in surprise.
She's apart of the Osuna family?!
Witters smirk darkened.
"Yes, we possess magic far beyond your mind, I know you're apart of the prestigious Osuna family. But as the saying goes the mighty have fallen, due to what happened to your mother. ".
Luiciens eyes darkened slightly out of disgust.
"Keep her family out of your mouth, fuckface".
Witters face only grew more twisted.
"Luicien del-grey, now you really are interesting, given your family comes from no where".
Before Luicien could respond, Victoria spoke instead.
"So what now, you're going to kill us?".
Witters face grew into that of a murderer.
"Something like that".
One of the other cloaked people rushed forward to Victoria, the cloaks hood came off due to the force of how fast he was going.
Pulling his blade out, he aimed it for Victoria.
Luicien noticed this.
He uses artificial magic and he's aiming for Victoria!
Luicien grabbed Victorias arm and pushed her behind him, while also drawing his own blade.
As the other person, who had brown hair, swung his blade toward Luicien.
Luicien brought his blade up to counter.
(Cling).
The two blades clashed and made them lock.
The guy who was clashing with Luicien smiled.
"Quiet the gentleman".
He said in a mocking tone.
Luicien looked angrier.
"Shut Up You Pig".
His voice was a bit more aggressive.
Meanwhile Mika was quick to think, while two members of the group stepped back including the Witter.
The other one pulled his hood down and summoned a wand.
Mika looked at him.
A mage, this will be fun.
The mage unleased a basic magic blast of energy.
However, this was easy for Mika to dodge, in quick succession he closed the gap between him and the mage.
He drew his sword and pulled his sword back.
RAIN MAGIC: HAILSTORM STAB OF DEATH.
He flipped his sword and thrusting it toward the mage. The sword illuminated with magical energy.
The mage put up a magical barrier, which collided with Mika's sword.
Even though Mika's sword had no effect, that's when the magic effect kicked in.
A bunch of hail came rushing from behind Mika and crashed into the barrier shattering it.
Mika drew his sword up into the air and slashed down, but the mage counter by using his wand creating another small barrier where the sword was about to hit.
The mages wand then started to glow.
Mika noticed.
Shit, not good.
LIGHT MAGIC: SCORING SUNLIGHT.
Mika flipped backward as the mage tried to burn him with light that resembled the sun.
To counter the heat, Mika brought up his sword.
RAIN MAGIC: HEAVENS SHOWER.
Despite being clear skies where they were, both started to feel rain drops on their skin. The rain became fast dulling down the mages spell.
Mika then manipulated the rain with his sword, which made a trail of water follow him.
He sliced downward, causing the water to form into a sort of wave going toward the mage.
The mage pointed its wand to the water.
ELEMENTAL MAGIC: FREEZING TEMPS.
The water stopped moving, as in an instant it had frozen over.
Mika looked worried.
At this rate he'll beat me.
