"Victoria Osuna as of today, you're being promoted to squad leader, congrats".
When I first joined the magic corporation, it wasn't so bad as I had Luicien and Mika.
"Thank you".
Victoria said as she bowed and left the room.
Going on missions with them both as well as Lillican and Noah was fun. We also met Lavender it was nice to have another girl with us. But that all changed when I became squad leader, I was put on more advanced missions then they were, meaning I didn't get to seem them often.
That's why in this moment despite being in danger, Victoria didn't feel fear at all.
The monster then turned to Victoria; It prepared to slash at her.
Its already worn me down a little, am I going to be able to put up a powerful enough barrier to counter? Regardless I know Luicien will back me.
She thought to herself as its sword came striking down.

Now standing in front of Victoria was Luicien, with his sword clashing against the soulless one. Luicien turned his head back.
"Mika now!".
That's when Mika flew over Victoria and Luicien.
RAIN MAGIC: STAB OF A THOUSAND DROPLETS.
While the soulless one had its blade locked onto Luiciens, Mika stabbed at it as many times as he could.
His blade was glowing as he, along with each stab came with a load of iced rain drops.
This caused the soulless one to step back away from Victoria and Luicien, allowing Luicien to help Victoria fall back again.
While this was happening Lillican came to the help of Noah, holding him up with one of his shoulders over him.
"Are you ok my love?".
Said Lillican in a worried voice.
Noah looked as if he was only half conscious.
"I'm- I'm fine, just going to be a little sore tomorrow". Which made Lillican relieved.
He sat Noah over by the entrance of the room, making sure he was ok before joining the fight.
Back at the fight Mika clashed swords with the monster once, then twice. He lowered his body, to which Lavender used his back to jump over him. She drew out her blade, something that was very thin which looked like it was for thrusting not slashing.
ROSE MAGIC: TRI SHOT THORN ATTACK.
She successfully pierced the skin of the soulless one three times; All three times she stabbed with what looked like thorns from a rose.
The soulless one went to slash at her with its claws, but she countered with her sword. She then shoved it off with her blade and got into a stance where her legs were apart with knees bent, one hand on her sword and the other to the side.
ROSE MAGIC: DANCE OF THE PETAL.
Her body movement became that of speed, as she started to sort of dance towards the soulless one, one step at a time.
A line of rose petals followed and she drove her sword into it multiple times.
This only seemed to anger it though, in fact all the attacks from before seemed to just annoy it which is something Lavender had picked up on.
Despite its appearance it jolted fast, flipping itself into the air and aiming for Lavender.
Mika saw this and thought about how fast it was going compared to her.
"Lavender look out!".
He yelled to her.
Yet it was no use, she was too late the soulless one was right on top of her and all she could do was watch as it was about to slice down on her.
Just as the blade was about to make contact with her, Mika jumped in and wrapped both his arms around her pushing them from danger. The impact was enough to send them flying, leaving lavender unconscious.
Mika called over to Luicien.
"She's out cold, I need to take care of her".
Luicien called back to him.
"It's fine me and the others have got this".
The soulless one focused on Luicien, using the same speed it used to charge at Lavender. Unlike Lavender Luicien was prepared.
It went in with a low swing, Luicien reacted by jumping past it increasing his heartbeat.
If I put more magic into my sword, maybe I can deal a heavier blow.
He thought to himself pulling his sword up, with his grip getting tighter.
All his focus went into the sword itself as it started to pour with magic.
ILLUSION MAGIC: STACKED SLACE OF 30 SWORD.
That's when he envisioned having 30 different swords which soon became a reality, but all 30 of these swords came into one and that was the one that Luicien was holding.
This all happened not even a second into the future.
With all of Luiciens strength he pushed his sword through the soulless one's flesh.
It dropped its defensive for a split second, stumbling back.
"Victoria now!!".
Luicien said facing back to Victoria.
Victoria was now running toward Luicien.
"On it!".
She shouted back.
Luicien put his hands down for her, which she stepped one foot into, this allowed Luicien to boost her up.
OFFENSIVE MAGIC: WAVE OF MAGICAL ENERGY.
Victoria pulled her staff from above her head all the way down to where her feet were, unleashing a shockwave of yellow coloured magical energy.
Hitting into it and knocking it down.
It started to get back up, but Luicien jumped at it again.
ILLUSION MAGIC: DOUBLE SHOT CLONE ATTACK.
He created another physical hard clone of himself, both slashing directly through the soulless one. After that had been done, the clone vanished into thin air leaving Luicien standing huffing.
Victoria joined his side.
"Nice work, we managed to defeat it".
Luicien scratched at his head.
"Yea thanks to you".
Victoria shook her head.
"You gave me that opening, plus you finished it off".
Just as they were about to celebrate their victory, the soulless one's body started to twitch and then it got back up.
Luicien and Victoria looked to it.
"I guess this fight isn't over just yet".
Said Luicien as he got back into stance.
