Chapter 5 - Rescuing Tony Stark

Location: Afghanistan

Blazing sunlight poured down from the sky, casting a golden hue over the vast desert.

Currently, three figures and a dog were traversing the scorching sands.

"Chen Ye, is your dog...ugh, ugh, ugh...is it even going to work? How long are we going to be wandering around here?" Deadpool complained, clearly exasperated.

"By the way, doesn't your mask protect you from sand? At least you have a mask. We're about to get fried," Pietro grumbled, adjusting his goggles.

"Woof...woof...right around here...I'm dying of heat," Deadpool's dog's tongue lolled out, looking parched.

"Just bear with it. If it were easy to find, we wouldn't be getting paid for this. Do you two have a better idea?"

Chen Ye said helplessly.

Although Chen Ye knew that Tony Stark was in the desert region of Afghanistan, this was still too large a scope.

The story goes back to the night of their meeting, when Happy brought a box and once again came to the Good Fortune Restaurant.

"Mr. Chen, this is what you need. Inside are items Tony Stark has worn recently."

Inside the box were a pair of slippers, a watch, and a small clump of hair.

Looking at these items, Chen Ye nodded in satisfaction, then said, "No problem, this will do. With these things, I can find Tony Stark."

It seemed Pepper Potts was very attentive to Chen Ye's request, or rather, she cared a lot about Tony Stark's situation. Not only did she have Happy deliver personal items, but she also collected the hair Tony Stark had shed on the bed.

Not bad for a Marvel official pairing, Chen Ye couldn't help but admire.

Happy, seeing that Chen Ye had no issues, couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He walked forward and patted Chen Ye, then bowed to Chen Ye at a 90-degree angle.

"I'm sorry to trouble you, please be sure to bring Mr. Tony Stark back. I beg you! As Stark's bodyguard, I'm really useless!"

Looking at Happy's plump body with a look of guilt and sincerity, Chen Ye said solemnly, "Don't worry, wait for my good news. Mr. Tony Stark's disappearance is not your fault. It's not your fault, you're a good person, a good bodyguard. It's nice to meet you, Mr. Happy."

That's right, even if you were there, could you beat the Ten Rings? Tony Stark has value, but you, Happy, have no value at all. You'd probably be shot on the spot by the Ten Rings.

"Thank you for your comfort, you're a good person. Chen, it's just that the price you charged is a bit high," Happy said happily.

At this moment, a beautiful voice rang in Chen Ye's mind.

"Ding"

"Congratulations to the host for successfully adding Happy Hogan as a friend."

"Obtained attribute: Driving Skill Lv6"

"Do you want to merge immediately?"

The system prompted.

It seems this Happy isn't completely useless.

"Merge directly, system."

A wave of knowledge from driving skills surged into Chen Ye's mind, and many professional driving techniques slowly surfaced in Chen Ye's mind. Chen Ye felt that his driving skills had been greatly improved.

Chen Ye felt that the fat man in front of him suddenly became much more likable.

After getting Chen Ye's assurance, Happy turned and left the Good Fortune Restaurant.

"Doggy, get ready to work. I'm leaving this with you. Sniff it well for the next couple of days. We're counting on you to find our sugar daddy." Chen Ye picked up the box and walked over to Deadpool. At this moment, a hot wind blew from the desert, pulling Chen Ye back to reality. The hot wind brought with it a dry feeling.

"By the way, are you hot in that spandex suit? Wade?" Chen Ye looked at Deadpool beside him, whose arms were hanging down, looking as if he was about to die, and teased.

"Shut up, you wouldn't understand my style. Hurry up. I'm really dying of heat, damn it. I want more money!" Deadpool said weakly.

"I'm the one who's the most miserable, okay? By the way, why do I have to carry such a big backpack? Why don't you guys carry it! This is discrimination!" Pietro, who was carrying a large backpack and wearing goggles, couldn't help but ask.

"This is to train you. Look how weak your body is, you need to do some good weight training. Don't use your superpowers, Pietro.

This should be near the scene of Tony Stark's disappearance. I guess it won't be too far from the destination."

Chen Ye, who was the most relaxed, said slowly.

"I can not use my superpowers, but why aren't we driving? How long are we going to walk in this big desert?" Pietro asked a question that struck at the soul.

At this moment, in a cave not far from Chen Ye and the others in the desert area of Afghanistan, a cave that no instrument or equipment could scan, Tony Stark was studying blueprints, with a miniature reactor placed to the side.

Next to him, a Mediterranean white man wearing glasses observed the miniaturized reactor and said, "This shouldn't be the Jericho Missile, right?" This person was Yinsen.

Tony Stark replied without raising his head; "Because it's a miniature ARK Reactor."

"I have a large one at home, specifically for powering the factory."

"It should be enough to hold the shrapnel."

Yinsen curiously asked, "What's its power output? Is it enough for your heart?"

Tony Stark replied, "More than enough."

"Stop staring at the reactor and look at this blueprint. This is the key to our escape," Tony Stark said, pointing at the blueprint he had been staring at.

Yinsen hurried forward and picked up the blueprint, studying it carefully.

After studying it for a while, he didn't understand it and asked, "What is this? It looks a bit like a robot?"

Tony Stark reassembled the blueprint and then said, "Close. Take another look."

The image of an iron armor appeared before them.

"Wow, a brilliant idea!" Yinsen couldn't help but exclaim.

At this moment, in Yinsen's eyes, Tony Stark was radiating the light of knowledge.

Chen Ye subsequently remembered that they were still under surveillance and involuntarily lowered his voice.

"I need your help, Yinsen," Tony Stark said seriously in a low voice.

"I can assemble it myself, but it will take a long time. Obviously, these guys don't intend to give us that much time. So, I need your help."

Yinsen hesitated after listening. "We can't let them find out. Once they do, the consequences are unimaginable. I can help you, but the material problem..."

"It's simple." Tony Stark then walked towards the door and said to the masked armed men.

"I want to see your general. I'm willing to help them manufacture missiles, provided they prepare the materials I need."

Yinsen looked at Tony Stark, and couldn't help but sigh that the person in front of him was truly a genius, able to remain calm and think of solutions in such adversity.

Only such a genius could survive in such a desperate situation. He was also very fortunate to be locked up with this genius.

Perhaps he really could escape. Yinsen couldn't help but fantasize.
