Outside the "Good Fortune" restaurant in Hell's Kitchen.
"Looks like it's time to hire some people, or else every time there's a major mission, our restaurant will have to close down," Chen Ye said, looking at the "Temporarily Closed" sign on the door.
"Dr. Yinsen, this is the restaurant. It's where we usually eat. The elevator to the apartments is through the door on the right. Please sit here for a while, I'll take you up to choose a room later."
"You can treat it like your own home. There aren't many people in the apartment yet, after all, this is Hell's Kitchen, but I believe it will get better in a while," Chen Ye introduced to Dr. Yinsen.
"Going home! Time to share the money! Now that we have money, it's time to go to the bar next door for a drink, I wonder if the bartender miss is missing me." Deadpool cheered.
"You eat my food and drink my drinks every day, it will be deducted from your commission later. It seems your sister hasn't come back yet, Pietro." Chen Ye pushed the door open and said.
"She hasn't been back for days, hurry up and clean up. It's all dusty," Chen Ye commanded them.
"You really should hire a waiter, Chen. You're so stingy," Deadpool complained, with the dog Deadpool and Pietro nodding in agreement.
While Chen Ye and the others were cleaning the restaurant, Tony Stark held a press conference elsewhere.
Some people could never bring themselves to live a normal life like ordinary people.
Tony Stark was one of them. His experience in Afghanistan had made him determined to shut down Stark Industries' weapons division.
And this decision caused their company's stock to plummet, just like a certain stock in his previous life's homeland.
At the restaurant bar, Chen Ye looked up at the television, which was broadcasting Stark's press conference live.
Tony was sitting below the podium in the news, but he didn't pull out a burger like in the movie, probably because he had eaten his fill on the plane.
"Everyone, take a seat, order whatever you like. Don't be so serious."
At this moment, Miss Pepper Potts stood behind, outside the circle of reporters, a smile on her face as she looked at Tony Stark sitting under the podium.
A man suddenly spoke to Pepper Potts, "Miss Potts."
Hearing the voice, Pepper Potts turned to the person who spoke and replied, "Yes, it's me."
The man in front of her looked at Pepper Potts and said, "Is it convenient to chat for a few words?"
"I'm sorry, I'm not attending the press conference. If you have any questions, go ask Tony Stark. He's sitting right there, but you'll have to queue," Pepper Potts refused.
At this moment, the man explained to Pepper Potts, "I'm not a reporter. My name is Phil Coulson, and I belong to the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division."
He handed a business card to Pepper Potts.
Pepper Potts lowered her head and looked at the business card Coulson handed over, saying, "Your name is really hard to remember."
"What's the matter? The Department of Defense and the FBI have already questioned us about Tony's kidnapping. Can't you share information? Why do you have to ask one by one, wasting my time?"
"Or is it that your Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division isn't authorized to access the documents?"
"We belong to a different system, specifically for this kind of matter," Coulson replied.
"We're here to understand the details of how Tony Stark escaped, as well as the information about Chen Ye's group who rescued him. If possible, please inform us."
Pepper Potts's face immediately turned cold. "Your department's jurisdiction seems pretty broad. You weren't around when Tony was missing, and now that he's safe, you're asking questions. I'll pass on your message to Tony, and whether or not he wants to contact you is his decision."
"Alright, we'll await your good news. We won't disturb you further. Thank you," Coulson replied with a smile, seemingly ignoring the slightly sarcastic tone. Tony Stark recounted his experiences in Afghanistan, and then decided to shut down Stark Industries' weapons manufacturing division.
When Stark announced that he would permanently close Stark Industries' weapons production division, Deadpool jumped up with a "swish," quickly knelt in front of Chen Ye, hugged his thigh, and cried out:
"Dear Chen, my beloved Chen, I know it! You helped us short the market, right? Right!"
"Get lost! You wouldn't buy from me when you had the chance, and now you want a good deal?" Chen Ye kicked Deadpool away with disdain.
"No, no, no. Chen, you're the best." Deadpool shamelessly crawled over, continuing to rub his black and red hood against Chen Ye's thigh.
"Alright, alright, get lost! At most, I won't deduct your commission this time." Chen Ye ignored Deadpool's persistence.
"I didn't expect him to actually shut down Stark Industries' weapons production department," Pietro said with a complicated expression.
"So, there are many things that Tony Stark might really not know. Of course, I'm not telling you to let go of your hatred, I just don't want you to be used." Chen Ye wasn't a saint, he couldn't tell someone, whose parents were killed, to just let it go.
He just wanted Pietro to understand the truth before making a decision.
"Well, for now, I won't kill him. I'll spare his life and let him atone. I'll see how he behaves in the future, and if he disappoints me, I'll decide then." Pietro said.
"Chen, so how much money did you make this time?" Pietro continued to ask curiously, and Yinsen also cast a curious gaze.
"Not much, just a small goal this time," Chen said calmly.
"How much!"
"Please, Chen, give me some! I've been eyeing a pink sports car lately," Deadpool wailed.
"Pietro, I invested a little for you and your sister. I'm saving up for your dowry. In case you want to get married in the future, you can buy a small house or something," Chen Ye said to Pietro, ignoring Deadpool's unreasonable behavior.
"Thanks, Chen," Pietro said gratefully.
"Ding,"
"Congratulations to the host, Pietro Maximoff's favorability has increased to full stars (six-star limit)"
"Congratulations to the host, Pietro Maximoff has become your family"
"You have obtained all of Pietro Maximoff's skills, and existing skills have automatically increased by one level."
"Subsequent skill increases for Family Hero will also automatically increase the host's skills."
"Congratulations, host, on your first max-star upgrade. You have received the max-star reward title: Family Hero Lv1 (Upgradable)."
"Family Hero Lv1: When there is one Family Hero on the field, the host's combat power increases by 10%, and the host's Family Hero's combat power increases by 5%."
Chen Ye was excited by these generous rewards and asked the system in his mind:
"This Family Hero title sounds a bit awkward, system. Can we change it? Also, what does 'upgradable' mean, and how do I upgrade it?"
The system replied: "The host needs to work hard to increase friendship levels. Only when the stars are maxed out can they be called Family Hero. When the host has a certain number of Family Heroes, they can also awaken exclusive skills and more features. Please don't just focus on making new friends; occasionally, you should also care about your old friends."
Chen Ye listened and thought seriously.
"Ring, ring, ring." Chen Ye's phone interrupted his thoughts.
Chen Ye picked up his phone, looked at the caller ID, and quickly answered, "Uncle Kingpin, why are you calling me?"
