Minutes after the clones moved away, I began receiving experience gain notifications. On the fifth floor, each monster killed gives me 25 experience points, which is a good number.
I wonder how many experience points I'll receive when a monster is killed on the eighth floor. I hope my clone number two manages to get there safely. Huff~~ Should I hunt as well?
I let out a sigh and started thinking about what I should do now.
Should I keep hunting goblins, or should I rest for a while? It's probably late already—I came to the dungeon in the morning. I've been hunting for several hours on the fifth floor.
Come to think of it, I haven't run into many adventurers, have I?
Even though I explored a good portion of the fifth floor with my clones, I didn't encounter many adventurers. And the ones I did meet didn't seem to have noticed my clones.
Actually, one of them asked, "Didn't I just see you a little while ago?"
But that was the only thing he said.
It's troublesome that the clones look exactly like me. But they are clones, aren't they?
Even if my clones keep their hoods up, there's only so much they can hide their appearance. It probably won't take long before problems and misunderstandings start happening.
And when that happens, what will I do?
Nothing.
I'll keep living my life and exploring the dungeon like any other adventurer.
I'll only need to do something if a god or goddess becomes bothered by my presence. But honestly? There's no reason for them to be bothered. I'm not causing trouble for anyone.
Alright, I'll drink some water and eat something first. After that, I'll explore the fifth floor a bit more.
To be honest, the more time passes, the more fun killing monsters becomes.

POV: Third Person
Clone number two, after receiving permission from his master, began advancing at high speed through the dungeon corridors. With his hood up and a lifeless expression, he placed his arms behind his back and ran as fast as he could.
As he moved forward, he crossed paths with clone number one, but they didn't even look at each other.
While running through the fifth floor, he encountered a few monsters, but he simply passed by them and stabbed them with his new dagger. After that, he left them to die, not even bothering with the magic stones.
This dagger is impressive, clone number two thought, smiling for the first time.
Whenever his blade cut a monster, it would become paralyzed and die shortly after.
With such a terrifying dagger, advancing through the fifth floor and reaching the sixth wasn't difficult.
Since clone number two also possessed all the knowledge acquired by Zane, he knew the entire layout and monsters of the sixth floor. Because of that, it felt like a walk in the park.
He thought it would become a little more difficult, but that didn't happen.
And then it happened.
While running with his arms behind his back, holding his dagger, he suddenly ran into a group of men in a narrow alley. He was moving so fast that he almost couldn't stop in time before colliding with them.
"Hm?" Clone number two was surprised.
The men—four of them—noticed the clone's presence, and their eyebrows rose almost at the same time. The clone froze, unsure of what to do. His master hadn't told him how he should act in a situation like this.
But since he possessed all of his master's knowledge, he reached a conclusion.
I should just ignore them and go back. He lowered his hood further to hide his face and turned around to leave.
But before he could walk away, someone called out to him.
"Hey, you. What are you doing here alone? Don't you have a party?"
The man's tone was firm and unpleasant.
Contrary to what the man expected, the clone gave him a second glance before fleeing.
His gaze was cold and lifeless.
It was as if his eyes were saying, Try something, and you'll die.
The four men saw that threatening golden glint, and contrary to what the clone expected, they weren't scared.
In fact, they felt irritated and offended by that look.
"Who do you think you are, looking at me like that?!" said the man—an idiot who wasn't very muscular and was wielding a sword.
The other three idiots, who seemed to share the same two brain cells, decided to follow their leader.
The clone, noticing he was being chased, sighed.
'I need to lose them somehow… but how?'
He simply didn't want to fight.
He was intelligent enough to know that fighting would cause many problems.
Besides, his master told him not to die.
The clone didn't feel confident enough to fight four humans.
Running away was the best option.

POV: Zane
I continued hunting on the fifth floor. I even considered going down, but I decided to stay here. An hour had passed since I started hunting. I had the opportunity to test the dagger a few times, and it's truly excellent.
It has increased my hunting speed.
I basically only need to cut a monster once to seal its fate. The knife's poison is extremely strong. The monster's body becomes paralyzed and then slowly rots until it dies.
The only problem is that I have to wait for the monster to die to collect its magic stone.
It would be nice if the stones were automatically collected and placed in my inventory.
I think that only happens when the clones kill a monster.
Or do they have to collect the stones themselves? Do they have access to my inventory? I'm not sure.
After drinking some water, another hour passed, and I noticed that the frequency of EXP gain notifications had decreased.
Did something happen?
None of my clones were destroyed, so I guess everything is fine.
I crouched down to pick up a magic stone from the ground when I heard a voice.
"Finally found you."
I was startled and turned around. Before I realized it, a sword was already coming toward me.
'What?'
