Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - System Store? Second clone!

Two days had passed since I acquired my house. Since it was already furnished, I didn't need to do anything besides cleaning it. And after that, the only thing I did in my free time was explore the dungeon together with my clone.

We did that on the 5th floor, so the experience gain increased.

In fact, I just reached level five.

Name: Zane

Level: 5 ( EXP: 40 / 16,000 )

Clones: 1/2

Strength: 34

Endurance: 34

Agility: 46

Dexterity: 22

Magic: 14

Points: 30

Skills:

Clones EX

Knife Combat LV6

Movement Acceleration LV4

This is my current status. Even after two days, the skill "Knife Combat" didn't level up again. However, the skill "Movement Acceleration" increased by one level. My agility and dexterity increased significantly.

And my points? I didn't spend them, since I was focused on reaching level five, and there was no need to increase my status any further at the moment. Exploring the 5th floor was actually very easy.

I was even surprised.

Now I can finally spend my points!

But the two most important changes happened after I reached level five.

As you may have noticed earlier, I can now summon two clones at the same time. I haven't summoned the second one yet, but I'll do that soon, since I'm already inside the dungeon.

And the second major change…

[ Shop ]

Yes, I unlocked a shop—just like an RPG shop. I can buy all kinds of things: general items, skills, and even food. It's a very diverse shop with a search system that's extremely easy to use.

Fortunately, the shop doesn't use status points, but a different kind of currency. I can exchange magic stones obtained inside the dungeon for shop points. There are low-, mid-, and high-level magic stones.

There are also special magic stones, probably dropped by special monsters. There are a few of those inside this dungeon.

That said, the prices are a bit terrifying…

There are items that cost thousands of points, and I need 10 low-level magic stones just to get 1 point.

In other words, I need to kill 10 "weak" monsters to earn a single point.

'But this will become easier as time goes on.'

All the magic stones my clone collects are automatically transferred to my inventory. They're all low-level magic stones, but there are a lot of them.

"Should I convert everything into points now? I don't have any other use for magic stones. I can't sell them in the dungeon anyway, since I'm not registered."

On top of that, I can exchange points for money in this shop.

It's an incredibly convenient shop. A shop practically made for the protagonist.

"But the prices could be lower…"

I went to take a look at basic magic skills.

A simple skill called "Fireball" costs an unbelievable 200 points.

Considering that I currently need to kill 10 monsters to earn 1 point, I would only be able to buy that skill after killing two thousand monsters.

Insane, right?

Killing two thousand monsters right now would be enough to gain two more levels, reaching level seven.

Huff~~

I let out a sigh and then looked at the knife in my hand, which was practically broken.

"I think I should buy a slightly better knife."

Fortunately, I have the system shop to help me with that.

In my inventory, I had a little over a thousand low-level magic stones. So, I decided to convert all of them into points. In total, I received 104 points to spend.

"That's so little… even after killing so many monsters."

I sighed in disappointment and searched for a knife in the shop.

There were many options, so I checked the cheaper ones.

I began analyzing all the knives. Surprisingly, these knives had stats—unlike the knife I bought at that shop earlier. All of them have attack power, durability, and some of the more expensive ones even have built-in skills.

'This is amazing. It's definitely worth buying my knives through the system.'

After searching for a while, I found a knife that cost 100 points. It's a very high price considering how hard it is to obtain 100 points, but it's an excellent knife. Its appearance alone is already quite eye-catching.

It even has a skill!

[ Black Mamba ]

Attack – 1,260

Durability – 5,000 / 5,000

Unique Skill – Poisoning LV6

Price – 100 points

"The attack doesn't seem that high, but the durability looks really good. And this skill… isn't it really strong?"

I didn't expect weapon skills to have levels.

Is there a way to check the description of this skill?

[ Poisons the enemy when hit ]

'…'

That's it? I expected a better explanation since it has a level. Is the poison strong or weak? What does it do exactly? Paralysis?

I'll find out when I test it.

I spent 100 points to buy the knife, and it appeared in the air instantly. There was no special "animation" or anything like that.

The knife floated in the air until I grabbed it.

Just like its name suggests, it's completely black. Its name references a highly venomous snake from my old world.

The black blade emitted a threatening gleam.

"I need my first clone to use this knife as well."

I destroyed him and then summoned him again. This time, I summoned the second clone too.

As soon as I summoned them, they didn't even look at each other. Instead, they stared at me and lowered their heads in respect. Why so suddenly? I let out a small laugh and then looked at their hands.

The knives were there.

"Be careful with this new knife. It has a poison skill. If you cut yourselves, you'll probably die."

"Understood."

"Don't worry."

Both clones replied, then waited for my orders.

"You may go now. Please avoid human contact as much as possible, and don't move together."

"We will do so."

"Master, before we go, may I ask you something?"

'Master? I don't really like being called that.'

Besides, this is the first time I've seen a clone talk this much.

"What is it?"

"May I go deeper?" he asked. "I'd like to explore more freely and test my limits. That would also be useful for you."

While he was speaking, the other clone had already begun exploring.

"Do whatever you want. Just don't die, or I'll have to wait for the cooldown to end."

"Thank you, Master."

"And don't call me Master."
