Chapter 153 - Chapter 153: Quidditch World Cup, Premeditation

"Amanda has already finished setting up the tents with Mr. Weasley and the others."

Harry reached out to wipe the sweat from his forehead and glanced at the others who were already heading into the tents.

Hermione looked over as well, then nodded, "Yeah, so we'd better hurry up too."

The two looked at each other and quickened their pace; they had already successfully assembled one tent frame, so doing the rest felt a bit easier.

Stepping inside, it was just as Amanda had predicted—an Undetectable Extension Charm with certain limitations had been cast, and all sorts of furniture and daily necessities were fully provided.

The space was also completely sufficient to accommodate The Weasley Family plus Amanda and Hermione.

After touring the interior, everyone swarmed back out; they still needed to fetch water and get the fire started.

"Amanda, Hermione, Harry, Ron, you four go fetch water. We'll start the fire here."

Mrs. Weasley instructed, also telling The Twins to go to the wood collection point and bring back more firewood.

"Alright, Mrs. Weasley."

"Okay, Mom."

The six children split into two groups and headed in different directions.

On the way to the water pump, Amanda's gaze constantly scanned the crowd, her mind quickly analyzing every person and every micro-expression.

Most people were happy, excited, and thrilled, but there seemed to be some elegantly dressed individuals whose emotions weren't just excitement.

A deeply hidden tension and unease flickered in the depths of their eyes. Amanda blinked mechanically, making a deduction in her mind.

Perhaps they were nervous about which team would win the Quidditch World Cup.

After all, judging by their attire, they were likely the pure-blood aristocrats of the British Wizarding World.

Although their businesses had been cut off by Amanda, they still had spare money at home; it was normal to bet on which team would win.

Thus, the tension in their eyes seemed understandable.

Withdrawing her gaze, Amanda held her bucket and joined the line for water.

Right next to them, a Ministry of Magic official was earnestly pleading with an elderly wizard to change his dress into trousers, but clearly, the elderly wizard had no intention of doing so.

"Why should I change?!"

"I just like a healthy breeze blowing 'round my privates!"

"Pfft..."

His words made Hermione burst into laughter; for the sake of politeness, she stepped forward and hid her face in Amanda's embrace to laugh.

Amanda's body stiffened for a moment, then she raised her hand and gently hugged Hermione, just as Hermione had hugged her many times before.

Harry and Ron struggled to suppress their laughter at the old wizard, turning their heads away to avoid looking at Amanda and Hermione.

After a few minutes, when it was their turn for water, Amanda reached out and gently tapped Hermione's shoulder.

"Hermione, it's our turn to get water."

"Whew..."

Hermione let out a long breath and lifted her face from Amanda's embrace; her face was bright red from laughing so hard.

Amanda pursed her lips, and after gently brushing Hermione's face with her fingers twice, she turned back and began filling the iron bucket with water, expressionless.

After Amanda finished, Hermione followed, then Harry and Ron; once all four buckets were full, they carried them back toward the campsite.

"Good morning, everyone!"

As soon as they returned, Senior Cho Chang, Senior Marietta, and Senior Penelopa waved at the four of them in unison.

"Good morning, Senior Cho Chang, Senior Marietta, and Senior Penelopa."

Amanda nodded politely in response, while handing her bucket to Sirius, who had come over to take it.

"Now that we have water and fire, I can start preparing lunch."

Mrs. Weasley rubbed her hands together, poured one bucket of water into a pot, and placed it over the fire.

Just moments ago, with Cho Chang's help, she and Mr. Weasley had successfully lit the fire using matches.

"How has your holiday been?"

Senior Marietta moved over slightly to make room for the two younger girls to sit.

"It's been great."

Amanda and Hermione replied with smiles as they sat in the space she had cleared.

"That's good," Senior Marietta nodded with relief.

As the five girls sat together, Harry and Ron, being very "sensible," walked off to chat elsewhere, giving them some space.

And as it turned out, their choice was undoubtedly correct.

Because not long after they left, the five girls, after briefly discussing Quidditch, abruptly shifted the topic to schoolwork.

After all, among the five of them, only Cho Chang was interested in Quidditch, while studying... was something all five were interested in.

Even Ginny, who had wanted to chat with the seniors, silently moved away after taking two steps and hearing their topic of discussion.

Good grief... they were going to see the Quidditch World Cup Final tonight; she didn't want to waste her brainpower thinking about school right now.

After chatting for a while, Amanda heard Mr. Weasley's voice occasionally introducing his family to his Ministry colleagues.

Soon, Amanda's side became lively as well, as Ravenclaw graduates kept coming over to greet her.

However, unlike Mr. Weasley's side, everyone on Amanda's side simply nodded in acknowledgment before the Ravenclaw graduates moved on.

"Everyone is just curious about what you're really like."

Senior Penelopa winked at Amanda; currently, the entire Ravenclaw community in the British Wizarding World looked to Amanda as their leader.

But not many Ravenclaws had actually met her; they were willing to follow her mainly because they had heard of her deeds from the current Ravenclaw students.

After today, though, almost everyone would have seen Amanda, and they would undoubtedly become even more convinced of their choice.

For although Amanda showed little expression, the sense of reliability and the captivating strength she possessed radiated from her naturally.

Near noon, Percy, Charlie, and Bill arrived via Apparition.

Shortly after Percy arrived, he ran into his superior, Mr. Crouch.

Observing Percy's attitude toward Mr. Crouch, combined with his workaholic state of barely leaving his room at the Weasley house, Amanda's brain quickly made a judgment.

Percy was too focused on power; between power and Ministry authority, he would likely lean toward those rather than his own family.

Buzz...

Her brain buzzed. Realizing what she was thinking, Amanda shook her head; Percy was a Weasley, what was she thinking?

She scolded herself; she shouldn't be pondering other people's family matters—it was quite rude.

After stopping those thoughts, they finished dinner under Mrs. Weasley's invitation. As evening approached and the Quidditch World Cup Final was about to begin, groups of street vendors appeared one by one in the camping area.

The Ministry of Magic staff seemed tired and stopped trying to regulate them.

If they want to Apparate, let them... there were too many people to manage anyway.

"Omnioculars? These look interesting."

Senior Marietta picked up a pair from a vendor's stall and fiddled with them curiously.

"A great help for watching the match, only four Galleons!"

The vendor spoke enthusiastically to Cho Chang, but when his gaze inadvertently swept over Amanda, who was walking behind with Hermione holding her arm, he immediately changed his tune.

"Of course, if you are a friend of Miss Amanda, please take the Omnioculars for free."

"Huh?"

Though she sounded confused, Amanda stared at the vendor with a completely blank expression.

The vendor cheerfully picked up five pairs of Omnioculars and stuffed one into each of the five girls' hands.

"In previous years, these sold for seven Galleons. This year, Miss Amanda lowered the profit margins, so our wholesale prices are cheaper. The retail price can drop, and we'll probably sell even more."

"We all know this, so please don't offer money, or it'll make us look ungrateful."

Faced with the vendor's attitude, Amanda and the others couldn't say much more. After thanking him politely, they turned and left for other stalls.

It turned out that Amanda had indeed dominated the commerce of the British Wizarding World; almost every vendor they met recognized her, and almost all of them had seen their income increase because of her profit-sharing adjustments.

Carrying a heap of forced gifts, the five girls returned to the Weasley campsite together.

"Merlin... those vendors really see Amanda as their benefactor."

Senior Marietta rubbed her arm, looking at the pile of gifts she had received thanks to Amanda.

"Ordinary people are like that," Hermione said with a gentle smile, holding Amanda's hand. "They know who is good to them; they're very clear about it in their hearts."

"As long as you are truly good to them, they will hold you high. Their support is much more powerful and reliable than any pure-blood family."

"Pfft, not bad, Hermione," Senior Penelopa giggled, raising a hand to lightly tap Hermione's head. "You really have the mind of a politician."

"I've read some books on the subject," Hermione shrugged, telling the truth.

A distant, low horn sounded; the Quidditch World Cup Final was about to begin.

The five girls quickly said their goodbyes, and Cho Chang, Senior Marietta, and Senior Penelopa each carried their things back to find their own families.

Amanda and Hermione followed The Weasley Family and Sirius toward the brightly lit stadium in the distance.

"The Top Box, just follow the stairs all the way to the top."

The Ministry official checking tickets at the stadium entrance pointed to the stairs. Amanda looked up; the box at the very top of the stadium was sparkling.

Although her merchants had been involved in the construction of this place from start to finish, this was the first time she had seen it with her own eyes.

Quite spectacular, Amanda evaluated in her mind, devoid of emotion.

Reaching the Top Box, Amanda and Hermione sat directly in their seats.

Beside them, The Weasley Family, Sirius, and Harry also took their seats.

Not long after, the Malfoy family, also in the Top Box, arrived.

Lucius immediately saw Amanda sitting next to Hermione with a flat expression. His mouth twitched slightly, and he immediately led Draco and Narcissa to their seats nearby.

Having suffered a loss last time, he had no intention of having a direct conflict with Amanda this time.

This was someone who didn't care about consequences and wouldn't hesitate to strike hard.

Even facing the entire British Wizarding World, she completely ignored the unspoken rules and directly flipped the table on the Pure-blood families, forcing them into a corner.

Closing his eyes slightly, he thought of tonight's plan, and his heart calmed down a bit, though a different kind of tension and unease surged up.

If they were discovered, if they were stopped... no, it wouldn't happen. Those Ministry fools didn't have the capability.

As for that Amanda... with so many of them then, whether she could even stay safe herself would be an open question.

Gripping the snake-head cane in his hand, a clear look of calculation and malice flashed in Lucius's eyes.

"Ah, Lucius, you've arrived early!"

A hearty voice came as Fudge entered the Top Box with the Bulgarian Minister for Magic.

"Mr. Minister."

Lucius stood up and greeted Fudge with a smile, and Fudge responded with a grin.

"Good evening, Mr. Minister."

Mr. Weasley's side also stood up to greet Fudge, and Amanda, Hermione, and the others stood up as well out of politeness.

"Good evening, Arthur. Oh, quite a crowd here."

"I invited Lucius; he just made a large donation to St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries."

"It must have been hard for him; business hasn't been easy for the Pure-blood families lately."

Fudge's gaze shifted toward Amanda as he spoke. Clearly, almost everyone involved in the Wizarding World understood who was behind this "snipe" against the Pure-blood families.

"Is that so?"

Mr. Weasley remained smiling and moved slightly with Sirius, trying to shield Amanda; in any case, there was no reason to let a child face the opponent directly.

Feeling the protection of Mr. Weasley and Sirius, and feeling Hermione's hand tighten slightly around hers.

A warmth spread through Amanda's chest, while a hint of impatience and annoyance flashed in her mind.

Without the dull pain in her brain blocking her emotions, Amanda's cool voice rang out with a sense of indifference to everything, "Is that so? If the Pure-blood families don't change their views and abandon the blood purity theory, then perhaps business will only get harder."

"In fact, except for a very few, the Pure-blood families might even disappear forever."

As soon as she finished speaking, a terrifyingly intense magical pressure enveloped the entire Top Box.

Mr. Weasley and Sirius instinctively stepped aside, revealing Amanda behind them.

With stray strands of hair fluttering slightly, Amanda was as dazzling as a small sun; the magic, almost condensing into substance, made everyone present—except for Hermione, the Weasleys, Harry, and Sirius—feel like vomiting.

The Bulgarian Minister for Magic looked at her with a face full of sallow terror.

The magical pressure slowly dissipated, and the corners of Amanda's mouth curled into a slight arc, "Of course, I believe the Pure-blood families should still have some intelligence and know how to choose, right?"
