Chapter 152 - Chapter 152: Quidditch World Cup - Arrival

After dinner, Molly Weasley ushered everyone present off to bed.

As she put it, since they had to get up early tomorrow to use the portkey, they shouldn't even think about staying up late or sleeping in.

Lying on the large bed that had been enchanted with an Undetectable Extension Charm, Amanda turned her head slightly to look at Hermione, who was sleeping soundly while hugging her arm.

Although she didn't quite understand why Hermione insisted on sleeping so close to her when there was so much space, this feeling...

A faint smile curled the corners of her mouth; it wasn't bad at all.

Closing her eyes promptly at midnight, she drifted instantly into dreamland, and Amanda opened her eyes right on time at six the next morning.

No more than five minutes after she opened her eyes, Molly Weasley's knocking and wake-up call came.

"Girls, time to get up."

Amanda sat up abruptly, watching Hermione and Ginny on either side of her start to groan, rub their eyes, and struggle to wake up.

Reassured, she got out of bed and went to the washroom to freshen up. By the time she finished and stepped out two minutes later, Hermione and Ginny had both sat up on their own.

"Hermione, Ginny, good morning."

"Good morning, Amanda."

Hermione and Ginny responded. Ginny shuffled into the washroom in her slippers, looking a bit listless, while Hermione walked over and gently pinched Amanda's cheek.

"Did you sleep well?"

"I slept very well." Amanda nodded with an indifferent expression.

"That's good."

Hermione smiled with relief and then went into the washroom to freshen up.

Once the two of them were ready, the three girls changed their clothes and went downstairs. At this point, the four boys, including Harry, Ron, and The Twins, were still upstairs waking up.

Molly Weasley was pouring stew onto her husband's plate, saying as she did so:

"I'm serious, Arthur, there's no need for me to go. I don't even like watching Quidditch, why waste the money on tickets?"

"Don't say that, Molly," Mr. Weasley said, gently kissing his wife on the cheek. "This is a group activity for our family, and besides, these are tickets Ludo gave us, so they didn't cost anything."

"Favors are the most expensive kind of payment." Molly Weasley glanced at the girls nearby, her face flushing slightly.

"Ludo is just returning a favor."

Mr. Weasley smiled gently and waved at the girls who had just come downstairs. "Good morning, girls. How did you sleep?"

"Good morning, Mr. Weasley. We slept very well."

Amanda and Hermione nodded politely to greet him and thanked him.

"Alright, sit down and have something to eat. While those boys are still asleep, I'll give you some extra fried sausages."

"First come, first served."

Molly Weasley said cheerfully, placing several fried sausages onto the plates of Amanda, Hermione, and Ginny.

"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley."

Amanda thanked her in a flat tone while taking a bite of her fried sausage.

"Haaah... good morning, Amanda, Hermione." Ron walked down from upstairs, yawning, with Harry following behind him, rubbing his eyes.

"Good morning, Harry, Ron."

Amanda and Hermione answered briefly, then quickly lowered their heads to "tackle" the breakfast on their plates.

To be honest, although the Weasley family wasn't wealthy, it was clear that they never skimped on food for their children.

Looking at the large bowl of stew in her bowl, Amanda was certain of this.

Not long after, The Twins came downstairs as well. Sitting at the dining table, Fred complained while eating breakfast.

"So why do Percy, Bill, and Charlie get to sleep in?"

"Because they can Apparate."

Molly Weasley handed him some sausages. "When you're old enough to learn this magic, you can sleep in too."

"Now, eat up and don't waste time."

Fred gave a strange laugh but lowered his head and obediently started eating.

Everyone finished breakfast quickly, and after eating, they set off together toward the location for the portkey.

Sirius had returned to the Black family home last night and would be setting off separately from there today; otherwise, The Burrow definitely couldn't have accommodated so many people.

Also traveling with Amanda and the others on this portkey was a senior from Hufflepuff, Cedric Diggory, along with his father, Amos Diggory.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the two groups arrived at a portkey that looked like an old boot.

"Oh, this portkey, it's quite shabby."

Harry looked at the portkey on the ground and instinctively made a snide remark.

Amanda blinked blankly and explained, "The most important thing about a portkey is that its appearance must be common and cheap enough. This ensures that other Wizards or Muggles who see it will lose the desire to pick it up, thereby ensuring it can be used normally by the intended users."

"So that's why." Harry nodded in understanding.

"There's one more thing," Hermione pursed her lips and looked down at her navel. "It's said that the experience of using a portkey isn't very pleasant."

"Merlin, you two are truly our walking encyclopedias."

Ron exclaimed in admiration, then immediately added specifically:

"I mean, I'm genuinely complimenting you both on knowing so much. No sarcasm, absolutely none!"

"We can tell, Ron."

Hermione looked at him helplessly; she and Amanda could certainly tell that he was genuinely complimenting them.

Otherwise, regardless of whether Amanda would react, her own knuckle would have already rapped Ron on the head.

"Alright, children, it's about time. Everyone place your hands on the portkey."

Mr. Weasley checked his watch and, while speaking, demonstrated by placing his hand on the portkey. Following his lead, Molly Weasley and Amos, the three adults present, consciously became the first three people to touch it.

Amanda leaned forward slightly and, at the same time as Hermione, placed her hand on the portkey.

After less than a minute of waiting, the portkey began to take effect.

A violent sensation of spinning washed over her, and Amanda kept her eyes open to look around.

She saw that everyone's feet had left the ground; their posture was as if they were lying flat, and they were all spinning rapidly around the portkey, with everything around them becoming blurred.

Hermione's face was slightly pale from the rapid spinning, and the faces of the other children were also somewhat contorted.

Being spun like this right after eating breakfast, feeling nauseous and sick would be the normal state, right?

However, Amanda felt it was alright, even though she had some symptoms of nausea.

But it was still far from the point where her brain would tell her she was uncomfortable; it was nowhere near that level.

Almost three seconds later, just as the count in Amanda's mind was about to reach four, the spinning stopped instantly, and the feeling on her navel, as if hooked by a hook, vanished in an instant.

Everyone was falling rapidly downward. Of course, from this height of less than a meter, it was impossible for anyone to be injured.

So the three adults stood by, smiling, walking slowly toward the ground while "enjoying" the children's disarray. Even Molly Weasley was smiling as she watched her sons fall.

Since they wouldn't get hurt anyway, what was wrong with her watching her own sons make fools of themselves?

Moving her fingers mechanically, Amanda's body instantly straightened. A silent Levitation Charm allowed her to recover a feet-down posture and land slowly. At the same time, she steadied Hermione and Ginny beside her.

The three girls landed steadily on the ground, just like the three adults.

A world where only the boys were injured was achieved; Harry, Ron, Fred, George, and Cedric landed face-down on the ground. Harry lifted his head and spat out the weeds from his mouth.

"Amanda, can you teach me the wandless Levitation Charm?"

Wandless magic could evade the Ministry of Magic's Trace inspection. As for wandless and non-verbal at the same time, Harry felt he shouldn't increase the intensity and make things difficult for himself.

"There is no such thing as learning wandless magic; you just have to keep practicing on your own."

Amanda shook her head expressionlessly, signaling that she couldn't help, while simultaneously casting a Levitation Charm on the five boys, lifting them all up.

It really wasn't that she didn't want to help earlier; it was just that, according to her micro-expression analysis, the Weasley couple and Amos were clearly wanting to see the children take a little tumble.

She didn't want to be dropped, nor did she want Hermione to be dropped. Ginny had a relatively strong sense of pride and probably wouldn't want to be dropped in public like that either.

So she steadied the three of them. As for Harry and the others... boys always have a higher resistance to these things, right? What couldn't be laughed off?

Just like now, the five boys were pointing at each other and laughing.

Including Harry, who had just "asked" Amanda to teach him the wandless Levitation Charm—did he really want to learn it?

Of course not, he was just saying it to go along with the atmosphere.

Once the boys climbed up, laughing and joking with each other, everyone walked together toward the venue for the Quidditch World Cup.

This was a massive Muggle campsite, but clearly, the Muggles here had been subjected to Memory Charms and Confundo, ensuring they wouldn't see or discover anything they weren't supposed to see or find.

"But wouldn't excessive Memory Charms cause damage to their brains? I've read in books that Memory Charms can damage the brain."

Hermione frowned, watching the Ministry of Magic Wizard who had just Apparated in front of the Muggle operator and then cast a Memory Charm on him.

"This... it indeed would, the Ministry of Magic should handle it later, right?"

Mr. Weasley hesitated and said, somewhat uncertainly.

"After this tournament is over, the Muggles here will be taken to St Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries for two years of unified treatment."

Amanda's cold, emotionless voice rang out abruptly.

"All expenses during this period will be jointly covered for them by the merchants hosting the Quidditch World Cup Final."

"If the hosting of this tournament causes any physical harm to the campsite operators or their families, the tournament organizers will be fully responsible for their treatment and subsequent rehabilitation; this is written in our contract."

"Regardless of what the Ministry of Magic does, I and those merchants will not shirk our responsibilities."

"Merlin's contract spirit!"

Hermione excitedly hugged Amanda and kissed her hard on the cheek. This person really made her feel at every moment that falling in love with her was absolutely the right thing to do.

"This is much more reliable than the Ministry of Magic."

Molly Weasley also made a fair assessment, while glancing teasingly at her husband who worked at the Ministry of Magic.

"Ah, well, we want to be reliable too."

Mr. Weasley touched his nose and shrugged helplessly. "But you know the Minister, Molly. He can't possibly really care about Muggles."

"Fine." Molly Weasley shook her head and didn't continue the topic. There were quite a few Ministry of Magic staff members around, so it wasn't good to keep talking about these things.

Arriving at the Weasley family campsite, Amanda saw Sirius struggling to pitch a tent on the adjacent campsite to the right.

"Sirius!"

Harry cheered and rushed over to give him a hug.

"Good morning, Harry. I'm trying to pitch the tent without magic, but... I don't seem to be very good at it."

He gave a wry smile and waved the tent pole in his hand.

"Oh, maybe I can try."

Harry said hesitantly. He reached out to take the pole from Sirius and examined it carefully.

He hadn't been camping before either, so regarding the tent, he could only guess how to set it up.

Amanda glanced at the situation on Harry's side and judged that he wouldn't be able to pitch the tent on his own.

So she nodded to Hermione. "Hermione, go help Harry. If the two of you work together, you can pitch the tent."

"And here?" Hermione pointed to the tent poles and the tent itself that Mr. Weasley had just taken out and piled together.

"I can do it."

Amanda said decisively. Although she hadn't pitched a tent before—she had only seen them in outdoor supply stores in malls—based on deduction and analysis of the tent poles and the tent itself, she would still be able to pitch it very quickly.

"Okay."

There was nothing to hesitate about; Hermione agreed and went over to help Harry pitch the tent.

Amanda, meanwhile, took a step ahead of the others and bent down. Grabbing the tent with one hand and a tent pole with the other, she efficiently threaded the pole through, accompanied by the sound of friction against the fabric.

"Woohoo!"

"Great job! As expected of Miss Amanda of Ravenclaw!"

Fred and George praised Amanda, taking turns like in a crosstalk routine, while not forgetting to applaud her.

Molly Weasley put her hands on her hips and exhaled, unable to stop herself from smacking each of them on the back of the head.

"Don't just stand there watching; go help Amanda by handing her things or something."

After saying this, she, along with Mr. Weasley and Ron, each took a side and began hammering the tent's ground connection points into the earth.

After threading the third pole, just as Amanda was about to bend down to pick up the next one, she found that the one she needed had already been handed to her.

Fred and George were looking at her with cheerful smiles.

"Thanks."

Amanda's voice was as flat as a cold pool beneath Arctic ice. She reached out to take the tent pole and efficiently installed it.

In the end, it took no more than three minutes for Amanda to completely assemble the tent.

"Wow, looks good, doesn't it?"

Mr. Weasley put down the hammer in his hand and looked at the newly pitched tent with great interest.

Amanda nodded in agreement from the side. Whether it was the attached magic or the quality of the tent itself, this tent was certainly up to par.
