Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Spider-Man? No! It's Gwen Spider!

"Honey, remember to call me!"

At the bar entrance, a blonde girl with flushed cheeks slipped a perfumed business card to Rhodey, then walked away with the help of her companion.

Rhodey glanced at the business card in his hand and casually tossed it into a roadside trash can.

He, Rhodey, never actively called women!

What's more, that girl just now had too many ulterior motives; she actually wanted to become serious.

Rhodey didn't want to casually find a girlfriend; at least if he were to find a girlfriend, it would definitely not be that kind of woman.

"Let's go, home!"

With no girl accompanying him tonight, Rhodey planned to go home and play some games.

As for sleeping?

Young people don't go to bed this early!

....

Around 10 PM.

Rhodey returned to Paradise Tower.

After greeting the building's security Captain, a two-meter-two tall, burly white male, at the entrance, Rhodey took the elevator upstairs.

Arriving on the 66th floor, Rhodey immediately noticed something unusual as soon as he entered the door.

He smelled a faint scent of blood in the air.

This was definitely not a smell that should be in his home!

"Could it be that Red Devil finally got beaten up after playing wildly outside?"

Rhodey's first thought was of his husky; ever since that guy gained the teleportation ability, he almost always ran out to play wildly every night, only returning home when it was light.

Rhodey initially didn't know where this stupid dog ran off to go crazy.

Until he accidentally saw a news report on TV, where a reporter was interviewing several furniture market vendors.

Rhodey remembered visiting that furniture store before, and he had even brought his husky, and that stupid dog almost bit through someone's table.

And the news report was precisely about this store having furniture damaged for several consecutive days, and each time it was fine when they closed, but it would be in that state when they opened the next day!

As soon as Rhodey saw this news, he understood where his stupid dog had been running off to play wildly these past few days.

What could be worse than leaving a husky alone in a furniture store?

Rhodey was also quite speechless when he learned about this.

That day, he gave a good scolding to the disobedient stupid dog in his house.

Rhodey thought that after the scolding, this stupid dog should have learned its lesson, but was it disobedient again?

And it was caught by someone?

"No!"

"This smell... it's human blood!"

As a killer, Rhodey could distinguish between the smell of human blood and dog blood.

Although both were very similar.

But it couldn't fool Rhodey's nose!

So...

His own stupid dog bit someone?

"Red Devil, come out!"

"Stop hiding, hurry up and come out!"

Rhodey took off his jacket and placed it aside, then shouted towards the house.

After a few shouts, footsteps emerged.

It was strange, though, that it didn't sound like Red Devil's footsteps.

"Um... excuse me, I didn't mean to break in!"

Rhodey stared blankly at the figure emerging from the Shadow.

From the figure, it was not difficult to tell that this was a girl.

And her figure was very good!

But this was not the most crucial point!

The most crucial point was that the other party was wearing a black and white Spider-Man suit, with a pink-lined hood.

Spider-Man?

Ah, no!

Is it Spider-Gwen?!

Rhodey subconsciously looked towards the door leading to the outdoor open-air swimming pool.

Sure enough!

The door was open.

He must have forgotten to close it when he went out.

However, at this height, coupled with Paradise Tower's security defenses, even if Rhodey left the door open, it would be impossible for anyone to break in.

But 'anyone' here obviously did not include the Spider-Girl who could swing around the city!

However, what made Rhodey curious was why she ran into his house?

Just as she had just said, she did not intentionally break in.

Then the reason should be...

"Are you injured?"

Rhodey looked at Gwen's left arm.

Although Gwen tried to hide it, Rhodey still noticed the damage to the fabric on her arm.

"Yes, I was scratched by a bad guy."

Gwen nodded, then generously showed Rhodey the wound.

The wound was quite deep, with four marks, and it was clear she was badly hurt!

Even with Gwen's physical fitness, such an injury would take a long time to heal completely.

And at this moment, the wound was still seeping blood.

Seeing this, Rhodey asked her to sit in the living room, then turned to get the first aid kit from home.

"I'll disinfect it for you first, bear with it."

Rhodey said, looking at Gwen, who was still wearing her mask.

The latter nodded, clenching her jaw.

The next second, Rhodey poured disinfectant onto Gwen's wound.

The intense pain made Gwen groan a few times.

However, with the mask on, Rhodey could not see her expression.

After disinfecting, Rhodey began to bandage Gwen's wound.

To be honest, his bandaging skills were quite good, mainly because he often got injured himself when he was a killer, so he gradually developed good bandaging skills over time.

"Alright, don't do any strenuous exercise for a short period."

Rhodey subconsciously said, but then he looked at Gwen's attire again, smiled, and said, "Of course! It's just a suggestion."

"I will remember that suggestion."

Gwen also chuckled and nodded, then stood up.

"I should go, staying here might cause you trouble."

She said.

"It won't make much difference now."

Rhodey said, "You should rest for a bit first, would you like something to drink?"

Hearing this, Gwen thought for a moment and also felt that the criminal from tonight should have long since disappeared, so she nodded in agreement.

"Ice Water."

Rhodey nodded, then turned to the kitchen to pour her a cup of hot Water.

"Here, drinking more hot Water is good for your health."

Gwen, "..."

Why did that sentence always sound a bit annoying?

Gwen felt a little strange.

However, she did not refuse the hot Water Rhodey brought.
