Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Is Your Skin Made of Vibranium? The Incident Ends, Departure!

"Cough cough!"

The large Inhumans who emerged from the dust coughed twice, wiped the dust from his face, and then glared fiercely at the two figures opposite him.

The next second;

Just as Gwen thought the other party would continue to charge and attack, the large Inhumans suddenly turned and ran!

"He's trying to escape, right?"

Gwen turned to Rhodey and asked.

Rhodey nodded.

"Yes, he is doing that."

"I thought his courage would be as big as his size."

Gwen made a sarcastic remark, then chased after him with a whoosh.

"Big oaf, don't run!"

Rhodey also shook his head at this.

Then he looked up at the sky.

About three minutes had passed by this time.

He saw a small black dot rapidly falling from the sky, and then with a "boom," it heavily crashed onto the street next door.

Rhodey teleported over to take a look.

He died peacefully, there shouldn't have been much pain.

On the ground, there was only a pit and a large area of something resembling ketchup around it.

It couldn't be pieced back together, but some bone fragments could still be found.

Whoosh!

Rhodey's figure disappeared from where he stood.

The screaming pedestrians scattering and fleeing around him didn't even notice his appearance or disappearance.

....

A few minutes later;

Rhodey found Gwen and the large Inhumans.

The two were currently in a standoff at an intersection.

There were also many Free City police officers, aiming their guns at the large Inhumans.

Rhodey's appearance immediately attracted the attention of all three parties.

"Don't get agitated, he's one of us!"

Gwen quickly shouted.

She was afraid that the police officers would misunderstand this "Batman" as a bad guy, and accidentally injure one of their own by opening fire.

However, the police officers who heard Gwen's explanation did not fully believe her, as Gwen herself was actually being cautiously guarded by these officers.

There was a common enemy at hand, but if this large Inhumans in front of them were dealt with, these police officers might just turn their guns on Gwen!

Although Superheroes were no longer a new thing these days.

But who were the well-known Superheroes among the public?

Apart from the Avengers, there were no widely known Superheroes.

Clearly;

Gwen's Spider-Woman was not famous yet!

After all, she was somewhat different from the diligent Spider-Man; Gwen wasn't as dedicated as Peter Parker.

If Peter Parker's Spider-Man worked 996, then Gwen's Spider-Woman was probably the type who was late for work and left early.

"Not dealt with yet?"

Rhodey ignored the Free City police officers around him and spoke to Gwen.

"I'm injured, otherwise I would have dealt with him long ago!"

Gwen argued.

Rhodey nodded, then said, "Then leave him to me."

Hearing this, Gwen had no objections.

If this large Inhumans continued to rampage through the city, who knew how much private property would be destroyed.

So, this was not the time to dwell on whose target this was.

Solving it as quickly as possible was the most important thing!

"Then he's all yours!"

Gwen said.

Rhodey nodded, and the next second, he instantly disappeared from where he stood.

"That Batman is gone!"

One of the surrounding police officers shouted in surprise.

His colleague next to him couldn't help but glance at him.

Batman?

That's a character from comics, that guy is not Batman!

He's just a cross-dresser!

On the other side;

Rhodey, who had disappeared from his original spot, instantly appeared behind the large Inhumans.

Still the old method!

He grabbed the large Inhumans, and the two instantly disappeared from their original spot, appearing in the sky ten thousand meters high.

"Bye bye, have a good journey!"

Rhodey waved, watching the large Inhumans fall downwards.

Then he teleported back to the ground.

Gwen was still waiting for Rhodey at the intersection.

Seeing him return, she also asked, "Where's that big oaf?"

Rhodey pointed to the sky.

"He's a bit slow."

Rhodey said.

About three minutes later.

With a loud boom!

The large Inhumans, falling from the sky like a small meteor, crashed heavily onto the central square!

A huge pit was smashed into the ground.

Around it were winding cracks like a spider web.

The large Inhumans was in the pit.

He still looked complete, but much flatter!

Then, from his mouth and nose, a lot of blood spurted out, accompanied by many fragments of internal organs and bones!

"Good heavens, what is this skin made of?"

Rhodey looked at the corpse in the pit in surprise.

His internal organs and bones were clearly shattered from the fall, and he was thoroughly dead.

But this layer of skin was still completely unharmed!

This was simply miraculous!

"Is he dead?"

Gwen cautiously glanced, then quickly turned her head away.

It was too disgusting.

As a beautiful girl, she couldn't stand such a disgusting sight.

"He's dead, your trouble is solved."

Rhodey said.

Hearing this, Gwen's expression was also somewhat complex, but she was wearing a mask, so outsiders couldn't see her facial changes.

"Are you leaving?"

Gwen asked.

Rhodey nodded, glanced at the Free City police officers gradually surrounding them, and instantly disappeared from where he stood.

"What the heck, he didn't even say goodbye."

Gwen muttered softly, then noticed the police officers who seemed to be intentionally blocking her retreat, and with a lift of her hand, she shot out a web, swinging away directly.

"Stop!"

The Free City police officers still wanted to stop her.

Unfortunately, Gwen had no intention of staying.

In a flash, her figure disappeared from their sight!

On a platform at the top of a skyscraper.

Gwen landed gracefully.

"Phew~! That was really close today. Next time, I'll definitely not take any risks before my injury is fully healed."

Gwen said, looking at her injured arm, still feeling a bit shaken.

"You'd best mean that."

At this moment, a familiar voice appeared behind her.

Gwen was startled.

She turned around and found that it was Batman, who had disappeared earlier.

"Why are you so elusive?"

Gwen complained grumpily, then sat down again.

Rhodey stood by, looking at the city's scenery in the distance.

From above, the city indeed looked quite beautiful, but one couldn't look too closely, or else you would see the darkness and evil rampant throughout the city!
