Chapter 1 - Summer heat

Chapter 1

"What can I do about this!?" Marco's voice is breathless as holds me against the wall, his cock hitting my cervix. His face is etched in distress. Not at me, but at his own emotions.

"Tell me. How are my feelings for you…right. Tell me how I can stop loving you. Wanting you with every fucking bone in my body." He groans, his face buried on my neck as his hips thrusts wildly behind me. The sound of flesh smacking against flesh in the hotel room is loud and erotic.

—————— 6 Months Earlier ——————

Summer came faster than I expected this year. Vacation in London made me forget what nice, warm weather feels like.

I look out at the lake from the distance as I lay up under the shade of a large oak tree. All the wealthy from town seem to be here today. As if celebrating my arrival, even though I know they're not.

Then there he is, Marco. All green eyes and darker hair. Taller than I remember. But again, it had been a year since I last saw him.

Marco owned the lake, well, he owned half of the town as well. Marco Ford, top of the line lawyer, a total charming and smart man. He met my father in Stanford.

They had been close friends since their college days. Marco had a few flings here and there but never nothing serious. He didn't want to marry just any woman.

Eventually, her father got married and had her. Little Sofia. Marco watch you grow up into a beautiful young lady.

Marco stepped out of his luxury car, wearing a short sleeve buttoned up. Top buttons undone. His aviator glasses held his hair back, perched on top of his head.

He laughed with a group of business associates before he spotted me lying under the tree. His eyes widen momentarily, as if not believing what his eyes were showing him.

He excuses himself from the conversation, almost eagerly, his green eyes fixing on me as he starts approaching. Meanwhile, my face breaks into a grin as I stand up.

Marco scoops me up in a warm hug, laughing heartily. His arms squeeze me gently, his nose taking in my scent. God, he missed that smell terribly. "There she is! When did you return, my dear?" He says through soft chuckles, slowly setting me in the ground, keeping his hands on my waist subtly. My laughter fills his heart with affection.

"Two days ago. I asked my parents to keep it a secret from everyone." I say breathlessly from the laughter, raising a hand to take off my shades. "You? What are you doing here?"

"What? I can't enjoy my own lake?" He asks teasingly before grinning. "I have to go take my new yacht for a spin." He hums, his face relaxing into a soft smile. "Would you like to join me? I believe we have to catch up."

I'm already flustered, his hands on my waist is making me lightheaded but I decide to ignore that weird feeling in my tummy. "Sure. Yeah, we do have to catch up."

He offers me his arm and I take it hesitantly. "How was London?" He asks, leading me to his private dock. "Fine." I answer vaguely and he raises a brow.

"I know that answer, sweetheart. What is it?" He asks and the genuine worried tone in voice makes me swallow dry. "I guess London wasn't that kind to me." I reply, and he nods. Understanding my wish to keep things moving. For now.

"Well, if you don't want to say anything, I won't force you." He says softly, helping me up onto the yacht. Always a gentleman.

I thank him silently and let him guide me up to the top deck of the boat. "So, fancy thing. When did you get this? I didn't take you for a boat guy." I grin teasingly and he smiles awkwardly.

My grin falters and I raise a brow. "What?" I snort, looking into his eyes as I sit on the couch. "Well…" he begins, pouring himself a glass of champagne.
