Not long after their conversation ended, Leonard returned.
The moment he saw that Suzy was awake, relief and emotion flooded his face. He rushed to her side, checking her over again and again, asking if she felt dizzy, if she had any pain, if anything felt wrong.
Only after confirming repeatedly that she was truly fine did he finally relax.
Since Suzy's recovery was remarkable, the doctor approved her discharge that very day.
Leonard and Suzy went home first, while Adam returned to his company.
Leonard still wanted to stay home to look after her, unwilling to leave her alone.
It took Suzy a great deal of persuasion—along with deliberately acting energetic and perfectly healthy—before he finally relented.
He did, in fact, have a lot of work waiting for him.
And… there was that matter that needed to be handled as soon as possible.
In the end, Leonard didn't insist on staying. He went back to the company.
