Chapter 12 - chapter 12:When Silence Found Its Strength

Aarav was sitting on the bed, sleep was far away from him and his mind was restless. He looked at his palms, the same palms that now held the chalk on the blackboard.

Those same palms once trembled with fear, as if every touch held old memories.

Ananya quietly sat beside him, asking no questions. Because some fears don't require questions, they just need support.

"Why did he come back into my life?" Aarav asked brokenly.

Said in the voice.Ananya held his hand gently and replied in a very calm voice.

He said that what scares us the most sometimes makes us the strongest.Aarav tries to laugh, but the laughter breaks into tears.

He says she doesn't know how many times that man has broken her.Ananya looks at him and says Aarav doesn't know how many times he has added himself.

It had started to rain lightly outside the window, and the drops were hitting the glass.

As if memories were clashing within Aarav and not letting him rest. The next morning Aarav was tired but did not run away, he was scared but did not break down.

When I reached school, everything seemed normal, the bell rang, children laughed, the corridors echoed. But Aarav knew that nothing was normal today. He stood in the first class with his back to the blackboard.Suddenly the door opened and a shadow came in.

Aarav's heart stopped, he turned around and there was the same face. The same eyes, the same smile, reflecting authority rather than pity. The man said, "You're finally here." Silence fell over the classroom, and the children felt a sense of dread.

Aarav composed himself and asked directly why have you come here. The man laughed and said to see the old school and remind him of old debts.Aarav's face turned pale, but he did not let his voice tremble.

He said this is a classroom and there are students here.

The man looked at the children and said that then they too will have to learn. That sentence shook Aarav to his core. He put the chalk on the blackboard and took a step forward. Aarav said that fear is not taught, it is created.

And he wouldn't let that happen here, his voice echoed as he said it.For the first time in the class, Aarav's voice was free of hesitation. The man was silent for a moment, then said, "It seems you've changed.

"Aarav looked straight into her eyes and said that he is the same, only he is not silent anymore. The bell rang and the children slowly filed out of the classroom.

Now there were only two people in the room, one who spread fear and the other who had learned to fight fear.

While leaving the man said that this is the beginning and the door closed.Aarav stood there, breathing heavily but his spine straight. He knew that this fight was no longer just his.

This is the fight of every child who suffers everything silently. The room was empty, but the heavy scent of the past still lingered in the air.

Aarav sat on the chair, his fingers were trembling but his heart was clear. He understood that this meeting was not accidental but a warning. The staff room was quiet, and some teachers were looking at him.

The principal called him into the cabin and the door closed. He mentioned the complaint and Aarav listened silently. The principal said that school is not a place for personal battles.

Aarav calmly replied that school is also not a place to teach fear.Is.This was the first time Aarav did not bow before any authority. His steps were heavy as he left the cabin, but he wasn't about to back down.

The same boy who had talked to him yesterday was standing in the corridor.Aarav sat in front of him and told him the truth.Instead of fear, there was a sparkle in the boy's eyes.

Were not going to move away. The same boy who had talked to him yesterday was standing in the corridor.Aarav sat in front of him and told him the truth.

Instead of fear, there was a sparkle in the boy's eyes.In the evening the banyan tree became witness and Aarav closed his eyes.A voice within told him that there was no turning back.

The same unknown number flashed on his phone again, but Aarav hung up.Because now fear wasn't at his doorstep, it was right in front of him. And this time, Aarav stood with his spine straight, not his back.

The schoolyard was unusually quiet that day, the wind was blowing but it was devoid of children's laughter.

Aarav was looking out the staff room window, and it felt as if time had stopped for a moment. Ananya slowly approached him and said in a soft voice, "You're thinking about that again, aren't you?" Aarav tried to smile, but it didn't reach his eyes.

"Some memories... just don't leave you, even if you want to.

"For the first time, Ananya placed her hand on his shoulder without hesitation, "There is no need to run away from memories, Aarav... there is a need to learn from them and move forward.

"Aarav looked at him; after so many years, someone had tried to understand his pain, without questioning, without judging.

Just then, the peon came in and said, "Sir, the principal is calling," and the silence in the room was suddenly shattered.

Aarav took a deep breath and headed for the principal's room, unsure of what awaited him.

As soon as he entered the principal's room, he was a little startled because the District Education Officer was sitting there and both of them were looking at him.

"Aarav ji, we have heard a lot about you – the children consider you not just a teacher but their support," the officer said in a serious voice.

Aarav remained silent, but a slight nervousness and curiosity filled the air.

She was awake together."We want you to start a new initiative in this school – a class where weak and quiet children will be given special guidance.

"Hearing this, something stirred within Aarav; he remembered his childhood—that same corner, that same loneliness, that same silence.

If someone had held his hand then, perhaps his pain wouldn't have been so profound. Without thinking, he said, "I'm ready," and as he spoke, he felt as if he'd made a promise to his past.

His voice was quiet, but a new purpose had been born in his heart. The next day, only five children came to that particular class, the room was small but full of hope.

One boy stood out—Vivaan—with his head bowed, not speaking to anyone, fear evident in his eyes.

Aarav slowly approached him and asked, "What subject do you like best?"There was no answer, but there was a lot hidden in that silence.

Aarav smiled slightly, "I also did not like to speak in my childhood," and on hearing this, Vivaan looked up for the first time saw.

There was only one question in that look, "Really?"

And Aarav nodded slowly. "Silence isn't a weakness; sometimes it becomes our greatest strength," he said calmly.

Vivaan's eyes lit up, as if someone had understood him for the first time. That evening, Aarav went looking for something in the school's old storeroom and found an old diary among the dusty boxes.

The cover read, "Class 8 Complaint Register," and out of curiosity, he opened it. One page read, "Student Aarav is being repeatedly harassed, but he does not complain," and below it was the signature, "Class Teacher - Seema Ma'am."Aarav's eyes filled with tears; someone had seen his pain, someone had noticed it – only he himself never knew.

Just then a voice from behind said, "You have a right to know the truth," and he turned around to see the principal standing at the door. "Seema Ma'am still asks about you," she said, and Aarav's heart began to pound. "Is... is she still here?"

"Yes, she's retired, but she lives in this city."At that moment, it seemed as if a door that had been closed for years opened within Aarav.

The next Sunday he arrived at the address; the door was opened by an elderly woman with white hair, soft eyes, and a familiar expression.

"Ma'am... I'm Aarav," she said softly, and for a few seconds, time seemed to stand still. Then Seema Ma'am's eyes welled up with tears. "I knew... you would come back someday," and she hugged him.

It was the hug Aarav probably needed most as a child."Ma'am... did you write a complaint about me?" - "Yes, but you never said anything; I couldn't help you fully even though I wanted to... I will always regret that.

"Aarav shook his head, "No, ma'am, you saw it—that was enough," and his words were filled with genuine gratitude.

Seema ma'am smiled, "I always knew this quiet boy would one day become the voice of many."While returning, Aarav felt as if some old wound in his heart had finally started healing.

In the evening he sat with Ananya on the river bank; the air was calm but hearts were agitated. There was a moment of silence, then Ananya said, "I took the job at this school because I found out you were here." Aarav was shocked. "Why?" And Ananya's eyes softened.
