Chapter 19 - CHAPTER 19: P.T Uniform

KAYLA'S POV:

Every weekend, I visit my father's grave and tell him about my entire week.

After placing a bouquet of flowers on his grave, I went home.

When I entered the house, my adoptive mother was busy instructing the maids. I quietly went upstairs.

In my room, I saw the P.T. uniform Hari had given me, hanging right in front of my eyes. I sat on my bed and stared at it for a long time. Just then, Theo knocked on my door.

"Can I come in?"

I smiled gently and nodded.

"I was thinking of going to the movies tonight. Wanna come?"

"Nah, I'm good. By the way, I'm going to Annie's house tonight and staying over. You know, girls' night."

"Oh, okay. See you later then…"

He left.

For the next hour, I kept staring at the P.T. uniform Hari had given me, thinking about him, smiling, blushing, feeling completely flustered.

Is he nice to me like he is to everyone else, or am I special? How could I be special to him? He doesn't even recognize me… or maybe he pretends not to. He always ignores me.

No. I'm not special to him. I'm just another person he helped.

So what? Even if I'm not special to him, he's special to me.

And he's mine.

No girl will ever come near him. I'll make sure of that.

My phone buzzed with a message. I picked it up, it was a class group notification announcing an upcoming tennis match at school. Any students who wanted to participate were asked to contact the tennis coach, Mr. Evans.

I remembered that Hari always participates in tennis. The problem was, I don't know how to play tennis.

But there's nothing I can't learn or achieve. And I have to make sure no girl comes near my man because he's mine.

I rolled on my bed and buried my face in my pillow, blushing.

My phone buzzed again. It was Annie, reminding me about our girls' night, which I had completely forgotten because I was too busy thinking about him.
