Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Punishment

Without any hesitation, he jumped out of the building from the corridor. The Sky-Rending Cry-Vulture soul spirit flashed for an instant, and with the help of the wind, Arthur briefly hovered in the air before rushing into the second floor.

At the same time, he completed a series of equations in his heart:

"Being so young and not learning well, engaging in school bullying."

"If they dare to bully others today, they'll dare to kill tomorrow!"

"That's a future Evil Soul Master."

"Then they deserve to be struck down by me."

...The start of the school season should have been a happy day, but Tang Wulin felt very aggrieved.

Everything about just arriving in East Sea City was fresh to him; along the way, the gazes people cast at him were filled with envy or disdain.

Some even called him a country bumpkin.

Tang Wulin felt miserable; he didn't understand why city people harbored such great malice toward him.

However, the senior sister from East Sea Academy responsible for picking up new students was very nice and gentle.

With the senior sister's help, Tang Wulin arrived at the academy and went to the Academic Affairs Office to collect his new student uniform and dormitory keys.

He had been looking forward to meeting his roommates for the next few years, but after entering the room, he found things were different from what he had imagined.

The dormitory had a standard four-person layout, and both bottom bunks were already occupied.

The two people cast their gazes toward him.

The student on the bottom-left bunk was tall and sturdy, with a fierce glint in his eyes under his short hair, looking very aggressive.

The other one was relatively thin and small, wearing a pair of glasses and seemingly reading a book.

The student with glasses introduced himself as Yun Xiao.

From their conversation, he learned that the fierce-looking person seemed to be named Zhou Changxi.

Zhou Changxi unceremoniously directed Tang Wulin: "Newcomer, go clean up."

Tang Wulin, having just arrived and still feeling a bit lost, blankly agreed: "Okay."

Then he went out to fetch water.

But when he returned and entered the room, he saw things scattered all over the floor—they were all his personal belongings.

Zhou Changxi was still holding his bag.

Blankets, clothes, and various daily necessities were strewn across the floor, even the two sets of school uniforms he had just received were among them.

On the dusty floor of the dormitory that hadn't been cleaned yet at the start of the term, the dirt on those items was an eyesore.

Those were all newly bought by him and his mother; they had talked for a long time before purchasing each item.

At this moment, images flashed through Tang Wulin's mind—of his mother helping him pack his luggage before his departure, neatly placing items into the bag one by one while her mouth was full of worries and instructions.

"What are you doing?!"

Tang Wulin's eyes were bloodshot; he was angry.

How dare you touch the luggage my mother worked so hard to pack for me!

Zhou Changxi stepped on the blanket and said disdainfully: "Nothing, just seeing what kind of stuff you country bumpkin brought."

"Turns out it's just this trash; a country bumpkin indeed."

Suddenly, a string snapped in Tang Wulin's heart.

Those were bought for him by his mother; they weren't trash!

Under Zhou Changxi's malicious words, Tang Wulin moved. He was unstoppable, and even the air let out a series of air explosions. He crashed toward the other party at a terrifying speed, throwing a punch at the same time.

Zhou Changxi was a veteran fighter and had long been prepared, quickly raising his hand to block.

But his defense didn't pose any obstacle to Tang Wulin, like an ant trying to shake a tree.

That punch easily smashed through Zhou Changxi's palm and into his chest.

Under the immense force, Zhou Changxi was like a kite with a broken string, crashing through the window and falling to the floor below.

From Tang Wulin's roar to Zhou Changxi being sent flying, it all happened within a single second.

To the side, Yun Xiao was already scared witless, frozen in place.

Just then, someone walked in from outside, wearing a black tracksuit with a cold expression. The personal items scattered all over the floor made him frown; he casually kicked them aside and said coldly to Tang Wulin, who was blocking the way: "Move."

"You deserve to die too!"

Tang Wulin, whose emotions were already extremely unstable, saw this and rushed forward with another punch. In his eyes, this person was the same type as Zhou Changxi.

Unlike Zhou Changxi, the cold and arrogant youth didn't block head-on; with a shift in footwork, he easily dodged the punch. Then, he turned and struck Tang Wulin's back with an elbow.

Tang Wulin, who was already charging forward, lost his balance and went flying toward the dormitory entrance.

"Yo, you guys have quite some personality, fighting as soon as school starts."

Arthur arrived. He caught Tang Wulin, giving a casual shake to easily dissipate the force.

Tang Wulin, in the midst of his rage, didn't realize the person who caught him was helping him and subconsciously swung a backhand punch.

It was similar to the punch force Zhou Changxi had encountered.

But Arthur raised his hand and blocked it steadily; this block was at a level Zhou Changxi could never achieve in his entire life.

"Classmate, calm down."

With a thought.

A gentle breeze brushed over the top of Tang Wulin's head, cooling his mind and making him snap back to his senses.

"S-Sorry."

Tang Wulin lowered his head and apologized, realizing that this person had just helped him.

"It's fine, you've already apologized, so what's there to say!"

Arthur waved his hand and walked into the dormitory.

"Can someone explain what just happened?"

Arthur smelled the scent of sin. He was going to judge the Evil Soul Master... oh, not yet; he was going to judge the bully.

Before that, he had to ask about the cause and effect.

The cold and arrogant youth ignored him, finding a bed for himself to tidy up.

Yun Xiao finally came to his senses. His mind had been quick since he was a child, and he opened his mouth, wanting to explain.

Just then, another deep, powerful voice came from outside the door.

"What's going on?"

The teacher had arrived; the efficiency was quite high.

Ten minutes later.

East Sea Academy Intermediate Department Teaching Office.

"So, you guys fought just because of this?" Long Hengxu looked coldly at the freshmen in front of him, his face dark.

"What do you mean 'just because of this'?"

Arthur had listened to the entire process from the side. He hadn't expected that the person he caught would actually be Tang Wulin.

Was Tang Wulin bullied as soon as school started?

He had forgotten these details.

Then this arrogant one must be Xie Xie.

However, if someone were to throw away things his mother gave him, he would fight them to the death.

Long Hengxu ignored Arthur; this was a true young master of East Sea City, best to indulge him.

"Zhou Changxi, you were originally supposed to enter Class Three, but now it seems your character is very problematic. Getting beaten up was entirely your own fault. You will stay in class five forever."

Zhou Changxi wanted to argue, but he was silenced by Long Hengxu's gloomy gaze.

"And you two, fighting right after enrollment—all of you go to class five." This time he was referring to Xie Xie and Yun Xiao.

Xie Xie didn't pay any attention, remaining cold and aloof. It didn't matter where he went; he was very confident in his talent.

Yun Xiao cried out that he was wronged; he hadn't done anything, yet he was harshly suppressed by Long Hengxu's moral kidnapping.

"As for you." When it came to Arthur, Long Hengxu was stuck. Arthur hadn't done anything wrong, so should he praise him?

He couldn't. Long Hengxu's mind was full of suppressive education; with the students fighting, he couldn't bring himself to offer praise.

More importantly, Arthur's background was too powerful; criticizing him wasn't an option either.

"You..."

"I'll go to class five too."

Arthur proactively suggested. He suddenly remembered that the one teaching class five was Wu Zhangkong, a former Shrek student.

Most importantly, Wu Zhangkong also used a sword. Arthur was just worrying about how to practice sword techniques, as that Old Geezer Agravaine's head was full of his shitty 'bullying the weak' ultimate skills...

Perfect, he'd play around with Wu Zhangkong.

And while he was at it, he'd see what level the geniuses of Shrek were at to prepare for the future.

"Are you sure?" Long Hengxu's expression was odd. Someone actually volunteered for class five?

Then he realized that class five this year was being taught by Wu Zhangkong. Arthur must have received some information and was going there specifically for him.
