Chapter 322 - Chapter 322: Don’t Even Think About Leaving Here Alive!

Voices rang out from every direction, effectively sentencing Karl to death on the spot.

He merely loosened up his body before instantly drawing his weapon again.

The Platinum-White Holy Sword appeared in his hand.

The people surrounding him immediately intensified their assault, while Karl raised the holy sword and slashed downward!

A hole was actually torn through the red energy net.

Even Karl was somewhat astonished.

The Platinum-White Holy Sword possessed tremendous power, yet he had needed three full strikes just to break open a single gap!

That alone proved how formidable the Skrulls' weapon was.

These people really were intelligent.

Karl naturally did not dare treat them casually. His priority was to break through their encirclement first. He could figure out how to deal with this place afterward.

As the priest overseeing this operation, Dotilt could not simply allow an insignificant sorcerer to disrupt their plans however he pleased.

"If only we could obtain his DNA!"

"Those so-called superheroes are relatively easy to replicate. But the sorcerers living in Kamar-Taj possess completely different kinds of power."

"Those mysterious talents are what we truly desire. If we could obtain them..."

Karl broke through the encirclement and immediately fled without daring to stop for even a moment.

Tothwanwell pursued him relentlessly from behind.

His strength was tremendous.

Several palm strikes came crashing toward Karl, leaving him struggling to defend himself.

"He really is strong."

Karl naturally refused to admit defeat, but he definitely wasn't going to keep swinging recklessly with his right hand.

"You sorcerers do nothing but stir up trouble! Now that you know about our plans, there's no chance I'll allow you to leave this place alive!"

Tothwanwell's words grated on Karl's ears.

"Then let's see whether you're actually capable of catching me!"

Karl swept both hands outward.

After chanting a spell, a massive barrier instantly formed around him, extending for several kilometers.

Tothwanwell reached out and touched it.

Boom!

He was immediately hurled hundreds of meters backward!

The impact shook Tothwanwell so violently that he spat out a mouthful of blood.

The Skrulls possessed extraordinary learning capabilities.

For Tothwanwell to occupy his current position, he had already replicated the abilities of countless powerful individuals.

And yet he couldn't deal with this one young man?

Karl turned around, made a mocking face at him, and smugly prepared to leave.

Tothwanwell was furious.

He punched the barrier again.

Boom!

Even under another direct blow, the barrier remained completely intact.

Tothwanwell was stunned.

Dotilt arrived shortly afterward. When he saw the barrier Karl had created, he couldn't help exclaiming in amazement.

"What an incredible sorcerer...!"

Even Dotilt could tell that Karl was no ordinary opponent.

And now that Karl knew their secret, there was even less reason to let him live.

Dotilt quickly made a decision.

He selected several agents capable of Invisibility and ordered them to secretly follow Karl.

The moment an opportunity appeared, they were to kill him immediately.

"If you complete this mission, your achievement will be recorded in history! This will become the first step in our conquest of Earth!"

"You will be remembered by generations to come!"

Those words immediately fired up everyone present.

Everything was quietly beginning to change.

Karl knew that although he had escaped for now, the Skrulls would never simply give up.

They would inevitably search for another opportunity to strike.

His peaceful life had been shattered just like that.

Meanwhile, Tothwanwell returned to his palace, still seething with anger.

How could he possibly have allowed that brat to escape?

Dotilt seemed to notice what he was thinking and quietly tried to reassure him.

"He's nothing more than an inexperienced kid. Just an ordinary sorcerer!"

"Maybe he learned some strange forbidden technique. Once we catch him, we'll drain every last drop of blood from his body!"

"Then we'll inject his DNA into all our warriors. When that happens, every bit of his power and every technique he possesses will be absorbed by our soldiers!"

Those words finally made Tothwanwell feel somewhat better.

"We can't delay this. It must be done as soon as possible!"

Dotilt silently nodded.

He understood that the invisible agents they had dispatched possessed limited combat strength.

If they truly wanted to capture Karl, they would have to set a trap for him.

Karl returned to his own universe and immediately reinforced all of its protective barriers, preventing the Skrulls from following his scent back there.

"Damn it. Of all the things I could have stumbled across, why did it have to be their secret?"

Still, their plan for attacking Earth really was ruthless.

Having managed to escape from the two Skrulls, Karl wanted to recover as quickly as possible.

After the enormous battle earlier, followed immediately by his encounter with the Skrulls, he could feel that his internal energy had been severely depleted.

Karl opened his hands and rested them beside his legs.

He slowly inhaled.

Then exhaled.

He focused on recovering as much of his internal energy as possible.

He needed to return to peak condition.

Just then, Karl's ears twitched slightly.

He seemed to hear an unusual sound.

The first time, it was too faint for him to make out clearly.

But when the sound came again—

Karl reacted without hesitation.

He swept his hand forward and sent the Platinum-White Holy Sword smashing toward the source!

Then he noticed something alarming.

A small breach had appeared in the barrier he had just established.

"They definitely didn't come here with good intentions."

"Impressive. What kind of weapon did they use to break through my barrier?"

Karl turned around.

At some point, two gray figures had appeared on the ground behind him.

Karl immediately drove his sword downward toward them.

"I thought you people preferred confronting others openly. Turns out you're perfectly happy using underhanded tricks from the shadows."

Two Skrulls appeared before him.

Karl gave them a mocking smile.

"Enough nonsense! Die!"

"You want to know how we broke through your barrier? Beat us first!"

Karl had only just finished restoring his internal energy, and these two fools had immediately delivered themselves straight to him.

Since they were so eager to fight, Karl was more than willing to teach them a lesson.

"You asked for this!"

"Take this!"

Karl swung his sword.

The two Skrulls moved incredibly quickly.

Not only could they alter the substance of their bodies at will, they could also freely transform their shapes.

Karl had no idea what kinds of abilities they had absorbed.

Suddenly, their bodies softened and rapidly shrank until they were as tiny as ants.

"Ant-Man?"

Karl stared at them.

"Seriously?"

"You even managed to get his genes? I have to admit, that's impressive!"

Karl couldn't stop himself from commenting.

Even so, there was a simple solution.

He could just surround himself with a completely enclosed, 360-degree barrier.

The two Skrulls would never be able to get close to him.

Seeing that approach fail, they simply hardened the outer layers of their bodies to an astonishing degree.

Each time they slammed toward Karl, the impact was like lightning crashing into a stone wall.

The sheer force behind their attacks surprised even Karl.

He genuinely couldn't figure out what method these Skrulls had used to become this powerful.

"Not bad at all."

Karl had remained on the defensive until now, but he knew that simply defending forever was not a solution.

He immediately picked up another staff.

Then he began chanting a spell.

Golden light instantly wrapped around the staff in his hand.
