ALEX'S POV
I kept crying she just hugged me tightly.... Then I remembered about the other people in the house....
I broke the hug and dried her and helped her with the clothes... She was still drowsy and weak... I carried her out in bridal style...
I took her to the living room... I saw everyone staring at us and I could feel some hostility too... I didn't care....
I helped her sit on the couch and placed a blanket on her lap to keep her warm..... I looked at everyone and said " I'll get her something to eat..."
After saying that I went to the kitchen and warmed up the food I bought and placed it on the plate...
I got some drinks for everyone too... After placing everything on the table I sat beside her... I gave her the food and she started having bit by bit.....
MAX'S POV
After coming back I was really irritated and had a really bad headache... I took the bottle and poured myself a glass of whisky.... Then another and then another one....
I kept drinking... I don't know what happened after.... Then I got a little conscious when Alex called me.... But I didn't want to get up....
Then cold water was thrown at me... That's when I got my consciousness back but I still had headache.... I looked at everyone and yelled....
Alex told them to leave.... I know he is disappointed at me.... He is not wrong... I couldn't take care of myself and always he ends up taking care of me....
We talked... he cried... I know... I know everything... About his feelings... About his parents.... Everything.... I know every damn thing... but still I couldn't....
I can't forget the past.... I haven't moved on... I haven't cried since then.... It's killing me from inside....
He looked deep into my eyes with his tears filled ones.... It made me feel guilty...
He helped me with the clothes and took me to the living....
He carefully put a blanket over me and got me food.... I didn't feel like eating but I knew that if I don't eat he will forcefully make me eat...
So I took the plate and started taking small bites.... I could feel everyone staring at me...
I asked " Why are you all here? "
Zack replied " We tried contacting you but we couldn't so we came to find you..."
I told him " Since you have found me you guys can leave now...."
After I said that Alex called my name and gave me a stern look... He told me not to talk to him like that... They came because they care about me....
Zack and the others agreed and said that they really care about me and they were really worried that they couldn't contact me...
They told me about what happened at the school and told me to come for classes...
I looked at Alex....
Alex said " Let her take rest for a day... I'll bring her to the class day after tomorrow..."
Just then from behind Ray asked...
" Who are you? "
AUTHOR'S POV
Everyone looked at him.... Ray continued..
" You told us that you are her friend but you guys seem more than just friends.... So who exactly are you ? Her friend or boyfriend? Or something else? "
Everyone looked at Alex curiously... Alex was about to answer when Max said
" What does it have to do with you?"
Everyone stayed silent... Max continued..
" Why are you guys here? I don't need your fake worry or care.... Get the hell out of here!! "
" Max!!" Alex called out and gave a stern glare....
" We know each other since birth... Our Parents are friends and neighbours so we both basically grew up together...." Alex said..
" Didn't you say you are an orphan?" Min asked out loud....
Max who was sitting still started eating again.... " People become orphans not only when their parents die, they become orphans when you are not wanted in that family or if you are kicked out or if you choose to leave that fucking family.."
Alex placed his hand on Max's lap.... Max put the plate back on the table and she got up.... " I am going to sleep... Other than him I don't want to see anyone else here when I wake up..." Saying that Max went to her room...
" You guys better leave.... Don't worry I'll take care of her and bring her to school..."
Ken thanked Alex and one by one everyone left... Ray , Vik and Zack were still there...
Zack looked at Alex and asked him if she has been hurt.... Alex nodded his head...
Zack's eyes filled with tears and his face turned red while trying to hold it in...
Alex went towards him and cupped his face with his hands and rubbed the tear off his face....
"You are just like him... No wonder" said Alex... Vik asked whom he was talking about... Alex sat back on the couch...
" Her brother " said Alex...
" She has a brother? " Alex said yes... Vik asked what happened to him... Alex looked at Zack and continued " Yes and Nothing happened to him... She also had a friend who resembled her brother just like you.... She loved him just like her brother.... They were the only ones whom she loved... More than herself.... But....."
But what? Asked Zack.... They betrayed her... They broke her completely.... He then looked at Zack....
You have the same structure and Personality as him Zack....Max told me that you reminded her of them and she couldn't see you getting hurt... She knew she would get expelled if she caused even a minor problem but still she choose to protect you....
Zack remembered how she was sitting there quietly and came and slapped that girl when he got hurt... After that she just lost control and beaten up all of them and only stopped when he asked her to..
"There are many things that you don't know about her.... I won't ask you guys to be her friends but please don't hurt her any more... She has gotten hurt beyond you guys could imagine.... I was not able to protect her then but I will now no matter what...." Said Alex
They just kept looking at Alex... How his tone changed from a normal one to a threatening one.... Vik said they should leave now... And one by one every one left...
Alex went to her room... He saw her laying on the bed her body turned to the other side... Alex got on the bed with her and hugged her from behind.... Max asked if they have left and Alex said yes...
Alex asked if she was okay... And Max replied by asking Alex to hold her tightly... Which gave Alex the answer he needed....
Alex said " I will always be there to hold you... I won't ask you to forget or forgive your past... Just don't hurt yourself like this... Just live for yourself... If not for yourself live for me or Mom Dad.... We can't loose you...
I just want my Little Max back... Who used to fight and pull my leg and make my life a hell.... I miss her..."
Max turned to face Alex and she saw the tears... She hugged him tightly letting her head rest on his chest....
Max said " I am trying... I just can't forget how the people whom I loved and thought would protect me from this world will be the ones who will make my life a living hell... Your little Max died that day"
Max faced Alex and said " How will I forget that it was my family and friends who abused and killed your little Max..."
