"Nero, nero," someone's calling my name. Who is it? "Wake up already."
I woke to the night sky, stars lined up all over. Maya, the one who woke me up, shook me frantically.
"Tch, let me sleep."
"So, you're alive… that's a relief."
Even though she is saying it so casually. Right now, I know those words mean a lot to her. "I won't die on you that easily, maya"

Maya, after she finished cleaning herself and wiping her eyes. Caught me abruptly staring at her and gave me an exasperated look.

Maya nodded, "mm, I knew it." She put her hands to her back and then began to fidget with a soft smile on her face. "It shows."
