Volume 2 - Part 5
Out of breath, Eno pushed open the heavy doors of the medical ward and rushed inside. The scene inside was terrifying. Dozens of fighters were lying unconscious, severely injured and covered in blood, some having lost their limbs. In that painful atmosphere, she searched frantically for William. She checked every corner and every bed in the ward, but he was nowhere to be seen. Losing hope and filled with deep sadness, she walked outside the building.
However, in the cool outside breeze, she saw him sitting at the base of a huge tree a short distance away!
Eno ran over to him. Standing a little distance away, he looked at her, and she looked back at him. For a few moments, both stood in silence, looking into each other's eyes without saying a word. Suddenly, Eno ran up, wrapped her arms around him, and burst into tears.
Taken aback by the sudden hug, William froze for a moment. Then, slowly holding her close, he said, "This... wasn't as easy as I thought, Enu. But it's okay, I came back alive, didn't I? Didn't I tell you I wouldn't die... so why are you so scared? I'm right here with you."
Hearing his playful question, her sadness turned into anger. She tapped him twice on the shoulder and said, "If you ever try to go off and die again, I swear I'll burn you right there!"
Seeing her anger, he laughed. Finally, comforting each other, the two of them walked away.
Meanwhile, Thomas and Master Downsell hurried back into the command room. The experts from the reconnaissance team waiting there approached the Master with fear.
"Master, there is something urgent you need to know," the team leader said. "The massive threat we were expecting isn't where we thought it would be! That training section we went through might not be a warning sign; it could be the presence of someone who might actually help us. However... the one holding the third pendant is the greatest threat we have to fear!"
He continued: "That terrifying power is approaching Earth right now! Among the pendants we've found so far, one has the power of the sky from the dragons, and the second is from the serpents—which represents the power of the earth. But what's coming next is the most dangerous one: the Space Pendant! It's about to crash onto Earth. We must be ready for anything!"
Hearing this news, the expressions on Thomas and the Master's faces turned grim. They knew for certain that a massive battle was coming—one that would shake the cosmos itself...
Tom and Rosy were lying on beds in the medical room, recovering from their injuries. They were holding hands and talking to each other when Eno walked in. Eno combined her healing powers with the other healers and let the energy flow throughout the room. Even if it wasn't a complete recovery, everyone in the room was healed enough to stand up and walk around.
After that, everyone returned to their homes. Right before going to bed that night, Thomas gave a warning: "The alien that arrived is likely connected to the Space Stone. This is just the beginning of a massive catastrophe. We need to track him down tomorrow itself."
The next morning, Thomas and Rocky went out to search for the alien. William and the rest of the crew went to school as usual. In the evening, when they arrived at their hideout, they saw William's English teacher coming toward them. Suspicious, William used his 'Eyeose' vision ability to take a closer look, and the shocking truth was revealed—it wasn't the teacher at all, but the alien! Inside it were deadly substances. Right nearby, hidden among the rock piles in a way invisible to human eyes, he also spotted a spaceship.
Suddenly, a portal opened, and Thomas and Rocky appeared. "This is the creature!" Rocky shouted out. They tried to move Eno to a safe spot. Eno tried to step in and help, but William pushed her aside to safety and stepped up to fight.
William combined his Fire and Lightning powers to unleash a powerful attack. Under the impact of the strike, the outer flesh of the creature burned away, revealing its true form! It had a terrifying appearance like a massive chameleon, with skin like decaying wax. It began to laugh with a horrific sound. William used his 'Muscle Shifting' power to land a heavy blow straight to its chest, but the creature laughed and quickly dodged out of the way.
Next, the creature pressed a switch it was holding. Instantly, one of the devices exploded right on the spot, while the rest fell a short distance away and detonated! A deadly toxic gas began spreading into the atmosphere. Destruction followed wherever the gas touched—humans collapsed and died, while plastic and iron melted away! Only concrete structures could withstand it.
Realizing the danger, Rocky used his super-speed ability to move everyone to safety. William and Rocky gathered Eno, Tom, and Shibu, and together they ran into a nearby large supermarket and sealed the doors shut...
Only humans were dying among all the living beings there. Meanwhile, the trees suffered no damage at all. They sealed all the gaps in the supermarket using trees, Eno's power, and concrete.
As everyone stood terrified inside the supermarket, William suddenly opened his portal without listening to anyone. "Going outside is dangerous, William!" the others shouted, but he ran straight home, grabbed his mother, and pulled her into the portal. However, at that exact moment, the deadly toxic gas reached there, and his mother inhaled a small amount. By the time they reached the supermarket through the portal, his mother fell unconscious.
Checking on his mother, Rocky said, "If it were ordinary humans, it would have been over right then. She's only hanging on to life because she isn't an ordinary human."
Unable to process the shock of all the humans dying around them and losing their loved ones, everyone sat huddled in a corner of the supermarket, weighed down by sorrow. No one could speak a word. A heavy silence and grief filled the room.
Meanwhile, Eno was using every bit of her ability to try and save his mother. After providing first aid with the supplies available there, she pulled out a rare healing crystal she had with her. Channeling her own powers into the crystal, she set it up so that therapeutic energy waves passed continuously into his mother's body.
With tears in her eyes, Eno told William, "I can't say for sure if your mother will recover, William... the chances are very low. All I can do right now is keep her alive. For your mother to wake up now, her body has to fight off this toxin on its own. I don't know how long we can keep this going... but maybe, just maybe, she might make it."
Hearing Eno's words, everyone fell into a deeper silence. Everyone's faces were pale with grief. Faced with this massive tragedy, they stood helpless, not knowing what to do...
The situation with the supermarket was truly a mystery. A large supermarket like that would usually be packed with people, yet when they ran inside, there wasn't a single human in sight! For no ordinary people to be there, and for only these fighters to end up there and seal all the gaps to stay safe—it felt like everything had been pre-decided by fate long ago.
Outside, the deadly gas had left humans lying lifeless everywhere. It reached a point where they feared whether the people inside this supermarket were the only surviving humans left on Earth!
Sealing every single gap in that deserted supermarket using Eno's power, trees, and concrete, they remained inside as if trapped. The terrifying silence from the outside world and the battle for his mother's life on the inside completely exhausted them...
