Their training continued. Days passed one by one, and with each passing day, William grew stronger than before.
On another day, deep in his sleep, William felt a massive shift happening inside him. He sensed a tiny crack appearing in his energy core. In his dream, deep within that white energy core, he saw an extremely powerful force—a mix of dark purple, pink, and orange—standing sealed. He could feel that immense power desperately trying to break its bonds and burst out. Though he was seeing all of this, he couldn't fully comprehend what was going on.
Suddenly, he woke up with a start. "Well, that was a different kind of dream today... I usually see the Legends, but what was this about?" William thought to himself. Without stressing over it too much, he returned to his daily routine and training.
Meanwhile, preparations to return to Earth were being completed. Before long, they made their way back to Earth. Tom and Eno were there; although they had traveled back and forth in between, they had stayed put there.
Upon reaching Earth, they immediately checked on his mother's health. They learned that there were no major complications and her body was slowly recovering. They had even started noticing minor body movements; she would be up and walking soon.
Around that time, they noticed that all the food supplies stored in the supermarket were running out. The poisonous gas and contamination in the atmosphere outside had cleared up by now. They were heading out to scavenge food items from the abandoned shops, as no one else was left on Earth; everyone had died. They were the only survivors left in the world. Deciding to head out, they said, "Alright then, let's step out to gather some supplies," and got ready to leave.
They moved outside, stepping carefully without making a sound to avoid catching the Overlight's eye, aiming to grab food supplies and check the conditions outside. But an unsettling fear kept eating away at William from within—a nagging feeling that leaving his mother alone was a mistake.
Having walked just a short distance, he suddenly turned back. Seeing him sprint back with only a few food items in hand, Tom, Eno, and the others ran after him, asking, "Hey, what happened?"
When they arrived back at the spot, the scene waiting for them was soul-crushing and horrific.
The surrounding buildings were completely reduced to rubble. Standing over his mother, who lay on the ground, was that Overlight—with a massive iron rod plunged straight through her chest!
The sight shattered William's mind. It was the exact moment he lost all control and restraint. A tidal wave of pure rage surged through him, and his eyes turned blood-red.
At that very moment, a massive fleet of warships descended from the sky with a deafening roar. Packed with aliens and Overlights, the warships blanketed the Earth. Realizing a full-scale war had just broken out, Rookie immediately opened a portal to another dimension to bring over William's father, Thomas, along with reinforcements.
Stepping through the portal onto Earth, the very first sight that met Thomas's eyes was his beloved wife lying in a pool of blood with an iron rod pinned through her chest!
That sight snapped William's last thread of sanity. The full scope of powers dormant inside him unlocked all at once, transforming him into a terrifying entity of raw energy! Without giving the Overlight even a second to react, William thrashed him relentlessly from all sides, leaving him battered and helpless.
Meanwhile, a barrage of missiles rained down from the warships floating above. William swatted away the one aimed at him with his bare hand. However, the other missiles launched by the Overlight leaders slammed directly into the area where Thomas was standing, exploding violently. Thomas's figure dissolved into the rising smoke and debris.
Thinking he had just lost his father right after his mother, William's mind snapped entirely. A wild, unhinged fury took over his eyes. He went on a rampage, obliterating everything in his path as he pushed the fight forward.
As the battle reached a fever pitch, the weakened Overlight threw one last desperate attack at William and scrambled backward to create distance. Using a device in his hand, he relayed a signal up to the warship. Instantly, a booming announcement echoed from the ship:
"If you hand him over to us now and surrender, we will allow the rest of you to live among us! This is your one chance to survive!"
Hearing this, William gritted his teeth, holding back his rage. He slowly turned his back on the Overlight and began walking away. Thinking William was backing down out of fear, the Overlight smirked with smug triumph.
Meanwhile, near the collapsed building, Eno stood weeping next to the body of William's mother. Right before taking her final breath, the mother had transferred all the power within her into Eno, passing away shortly after.
Unaware of this, William walked a few paces back, then spun around in a flash and shoved his arm right through the Overlight's chest! Ripping out his heart with his bare hand, he crushed it to pieces and roared:
"You bastards born out of cloning without a father or a mother will never understand how deep a mother's love goes!"
The moment the words left his mouth, he charged headon into the alien army. Unleashing his full strength, he began tearing down the warships one by one. Meanwhile, warriors led by the Guru arrived through portals from other dimensions, turning the area into a absolute war zone.
However, a moment later, even larger warships carrying waves of additional Overlights descended upon Earth. The war turned brutally intense. The enemy forces were divided into three main ranks:
Low Rank: Tom and Eno—who now carried the mother's transferred power—fought fiercely against this rank.
High Rank: William and the Guru were locked in a grueling battle against these formidable second-tier villains.
The King: The supreme leader of them all hid inside a secure chamber within his warship, quietly observing everything from above.
The second-tier High Rank enemies possessed immense power, forcing William and the Guru to push themselves to their absolute limits during the fight.
Around the same time, alien ships belonging to the portal faction arrived en masse. The allied forces from Rocky's faction positioned themselves to back up William and his group, shifting the momentum of the fight as both sides clashed with full force, bringing the war to its absolute peak.
It was then, as the thick smoke from the earlier missile blast settled, that Thomas opened his eyes and stood up! The shock of losing his beloved wife triggered a monumental awakening within his consciousness. The souls and powers of every Evil Lord they had defeated up until now—sealed away in alternate dimensions—came rushing back, absorbing directly into Thomas!
Indeed, Thomas himself was the true ruler of all Evil Lords—'The Lord of All'! Driven by the sight of his wife's lifeless body, Thomas summoned every single Evil Lord and shifted into his true, mythical form.
He stormed straight toward the High Rank enemies that William and the Guru were struggling to battle, taking over the fight entirely. Thomas effortlessly swept through those High-Level foes, wiping them out like a hurricane!
On the other side, the battle was growing increasingly dangerous. Mid-combat, Tom was struck by severe poison and collapsed, but using the new powers gifted by the mother, Eno healed him on the spot. William blocked massive incoming attacks targeted at him using his own energy, while Tom and Shibu's group barely dodged fatal blows, retaliating with everything they had.
The minutes ticked away until the clock struck exactly 12:00 AM midnight.
It was William's birthday! The precise moment foretold by the Legends in his dream—when the planets aligned—had finally arrived to unleash the true cosmic power sleeping within him.
Right as the clock hit midnight, the sky, the earth, and the entire universe shook to their core!
An overwhelming surge of Natural Energy rushed into William's body simultaneously from the atmosphere, the earth, and deep space. The dark purple and orange core energy sealed inside him fused seamlessly with his white core.
With that, a breathtaking aura of white, orange, and purple blazed to life around William's body! That divine force glowed brilliantly from head to toe. From this point forward, no ruler stood above him; his power reached its ultimate peak, as if 'The Original God' had returned to reign supreme!
William rose slowly, hovering mid-air. An uncontrollable wave of raw energy surged out from his body like a roaring tsunami.
The Overlights struck by this cosmic force withered and dropped dead instantly! The massive warships hovering in the sky lost control one after another, crashing down in ruin. As William hovered in mid-air with an unreadable expression, the energy o f universe kept pouring continuously into his body!
