While all of them were chatting,
Lili was already walking toward the forest just a few meters away from Shrek.
Something felt off.
Every second, he felt something screaming inside his mind.
It wasn't the system—this was different.
It was instinct.
A raw, primal urge was clawing at him, screaming to be let out.
It felt as if something inside his body was forcing its way out, growing stronger by the second—more violent, more unbearable.
His head throbbed as though it were about to split open.
Yet Lili's expression remained the same—bored, empty, completely indifferent.
From time to time, his body shivered from the pain, but his eyes told a different story.
There was no fear. No panic.
He wasn't new to this feeling.
He knew it well.
He had been through hell far worse than this before.
Compared to that, this was nothing more than ants biting at his skin.
Slowly, he continued walking toward the forest.
The forest itself was full of life.
Tall oak trees and thick woods were scattered throughout the area, their canopies blocking much of the sunlight.
The ground was covered in lush green vegetation, forming a vibrant habitat for countless creatures.
Howls, squeaks, and various animal cries echoed through the trees, harmonizing with the living forest.
Lili walked deeper—step by step—toward the heart of it.
Toward the center of the forest.
♤
Lili was slowly being swallowed by his instincts, the voice inside his head growing louder and louder.
It wasn't just a voice—it was hunger. A craving. Something demanding, insistent.
It told Lili to let it out.
Every second that passed, the hunger, the greed, the dangerous, gnawing sensation he was containing, was eating him from the inside.
Yet, if you looked at him, his expression remained stoic—devoid, unmoved.
No reaction. No scream. No remorse. Nothing.
On the surface, he appeared perfectly fine.
But deep inside, it was a different story.
It felt like being tortured, bitten, and clawed from within by snakes, scorpions, and spiders—alive, crawling, relentless.
And yet his expression didn't change.
His eyes told everything—he had seen this before, endured more than this, and was trained by experience beyond comprehension.
Silence fell over the forest as he walked.
Then he reached a wide, open space.
Unlike the turmoil inside him, the forest here was peaceful, serene.
The wind howled gently, flowers danced, and the grass swayed in harmony.
Lili exhaled deeply.
In his deep, hoarse voice, he whispered,
"Then… come out."
♡
Then, from deep within his body, a beast roared—violent, feral—tearing its way out.
Bones dislocated. Muscles twisted. Flesh screamed.
It felt as if every joint in Lili's body was being ripped apart and rearranged.
Yet Lili himself remained unchanged.
No boredom.
No interest.
No emotion.
No fucks given.
Slowly, his lower body began to transform.
Hairy, dark-purple skeletal structures forced their way through his legs and abdomen. The sight was grotesque—bones tearing through skin, muscles snapping apart as if they were nothing. His yellow kimono was shredded, cloth ripping apart as the transformation continued.
Crackkkk.
Creakkk—
The sounds echoed through the forest—bones breaking, joints shifting, flesh being opened.
Then—thuggh—
A long, dark reddish-purple, skinny pointed leg burst out from his lower body.
Then another.
And another.
And another.
Until eight legs emerged.
Eight massive, spider-like limbs replaced his legs entirely.
It wasn't just spider legs anymore—his entire lower body had transformed. A full arachnid form had fused with him, grotesque and unnatural. The structure was unmistakable.
Rosamygale grauvogeli.
The monstrous spider eyes scanned the forest, cold and predatory.
Then it roared.
The sound vibrated violently through the air, cracking the ground and uprooting trees. Several trunks shattered, collapsing as shockwaves tore through the forest.
This was the creature.
The hybrid.
The thing that had been whispering inside his head all this time.
And now it was out.
It was clear—the Devil Fruit wasn't just power.
It had a will of its own.
♤
Lili looked down at his transformed lower half.
His dark-purple eyes calmly scanned the grotesque form beneath him. His upper body was fused seamlessly to the spider body, flesh and bone intertwined as if it had always belonged there. He could feel the connection clearly—like having legs, but more than that.
Too many.
And beneath that connection was something else.
A living will.
The spider possessed its own instincts, its own awareness, something feral and restless—yet undeniably bound to him.
With his deep, hoarse voice, Lili spoke.
"So you're the one that's been buzzing in my head… tearing me apart from the inside."
"Not the system."
The spider did not answer.
Instead, thick drool dripped from its mandibles, sizzling as it hit the ground. The liquid ate into the soil like acid, releasing faint smoke as it spread.
Lili watched it without reaction.
"So this is it… the hybrid form of the Devil Fruit."
He exhaled slowly.
"So this is what manifesting a Zoan feels like."
His brows barely moved, but his body trembled faintly.
"I can feel it," he muttered. "My lower body… even my private parts… like they were torn apart and rebuilt."
A pause.
"…How did that Black Maria woman tolerate this?"
He scoffed softly, more tired than amused.
"Then again… she ran a brothel. Guess she had experience with hardcore shit."
Lili raised his gaze back to the spider body, studying it the way one would examine a defective tool.
Then, flat and emotionless, he spoke again.
"So."
"What do you want?"
