Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Zeus

"So you are the new god of magic," said Zeus as he looked upon the newly formed god, Ajuka. He is still a bit shaken how a new god came into being without his knowledge.

According to him, he was born from a drop of blood from the Primordial Chaos biting its tongue while yawning, and it fell to the earth and he was formed.

Suspect his story might be, his power on the other hand proves his claims, for only the spawn of the first primordial can be this powerful at his age.

Ajuka, from what I can feel, is only about a month old, yet he is as strong as my sister, Demeter, already an Olympian that is already boosted by the thrones of Olympus. The weakest amongst the Twelve she might be, she is still a powerhouse who had to take time to reach her current strength. To be born at this level is honestly telling of his potential.

Gods get stronger as they get older, but that is slow. The best and yet most dangerous way to gather power and influence is to gather faith from others, and even that only gives you about two large boosts and then very slow passive growth once more.

The stronger a god is, the more authority they have over their concepts, which they share with other gods. There is only one sun, which Apollo has to share with Ra and all other sun gods. Only true strength can increase one's control over concepts, although there aren't many gods of magic, and most of them are amicable to one another.

Like the gods controlling afterlives, like The Underworld and Hel. They all get along and have the sort of camaraderie that us Chief Gods will never have.

I turned back to him and sighed before using my authority as the Skyfather of our pantheon to project my voice and authority all over the world.

"Welcome to Olympus, Ajuka. The god of magic and crafts."

The world shook a bit, but that is expected when beings of my level make a move. The boy bowed his head a bit in gratitude and said,

"Thank you, Lord Zeus, for this. I am sure it is within your rights to cast me out of Olympus, but you believed me and welcomed me as one of your own. For that, you will have my fealty and perhaps one day, my loyalty." Ajuka started walking out of the hall, but not towards the residence of the gods, but towards the doors that would lead out of Olympus.

"Where are you going, Ajuka?" I asked, a bit perplexed. Does he not know the way to go? He should have used his senses and gone in the direction where lots of gods were concentrated.

"Ahhh. I already have a home, my lord. You see, before I came, I used magic to create a home for myself. It's still small, but it's home."

I understand the feeling. I sometimes still sneak off to the forest I grew up in with Metis and Rhea to be alone with my thoughts, away from the chaos of my subjects.

Regardless, I had to ask just to be sure.

"So, you are not taking residency on Mt. Olympus?"

Ajuka seemed to mull it over before saying,

"No, King Zeus. I would not need it. Thank you for the offer regardless."

With that, he blurred out of existence and disappeared from Mt. Olympus. Interesting times are ahead. As long as he knows where he belongs, I will allow his eccentricities.

Ajuka

As I rematerialised in my home, The Twilight Zone—an empty dimension filled with mana and a connection to the concept of dreams and the collective unconscious—the first thing I did after I came into existence was sense, claim this dimension as my place of power, and link it to my being.

The Twilight Zone will keep growing and will be influenced by and also influence the world. As a god, when you are born, you are born with a lot of information about yourself, your power, and how to grow it. To grow faster, you need to have an insane level of influence or at least followers who will provide you with faith energy.

As a god, the truth is I do not have as much influence over it as Hecate. For one, she is much older than me, and if I do not cheat somehow, I will never catch up to her. The sad part is how she is treated. Pound for pound, the only gods stronger than her in this pantheon are the Big Three and Thanatos, who is a young primordial posing as a god.

The magic of this world is not as structured or straightforward as those from my past life. It has the capacity for it, but these kinds of abilities were and may never be conceived as they were.

The magics from the Nasuverse, Chakra from Naruto, Cursed Energy from my last reincarnation, and Reiatsu from the primordial world of souls. These are all different systems of energy use and power, but they all fall under magic.

They all fall under me. In all their forms, even ones not known to me. The biggest breakthrough is that I became a manifestation of the Root, which houses all possible and theoretical magics and abilities of all those different universes. I have access and can learn all of them freely at my leisure, but others have to toil and make their way to it themselves.

Sadly, for how powerful they are originally in their main universes, the same can't be said to be the same here. They are still powerful but not invincible. A user of Heaven's Feel may be almost impossible to kill, but not impossible. Not to say it was nerfed, but they were incorporated into this universe and run by its framework.

Of course, the first thing I concentrated on and mastered was the Kaleidoscope. The ability to travel, view, and draw energy from parallel universes was too good to pass up.

When I was born, the domain of magic latched onto those concepts with a kind of hunger I have never seen or felt before. It brought them forth from my soul and branded them into me and the world itself, with me as the administrator and foremost expert in it.

Luckily, they are vast enough that anything can theoretically be done with them only. Talk less of when they have been elevated into a higher level in this world now, although no one knows about them for now.

They are now classified as different magical disciplines that can be trained and used by anyone as long as they have the aptitude and belief to use it and grow.

There are more intricacies to it, but I can't be arsed to go into it now that I think of it, as I have other things to worry about.

With my connection to other worlds, dead souls from those worlds might slip into this world and be reborn. It was something I noticed during my month in retreat while I was examining myself.

Just this month alone, I noticed a slight influx of souls arriving from the ether. Some already scrubbed of their past consciousness and memories, but some—some held on. The ego of those that held on was too strong for the cycle, allowing them to retain all their memories and experiences.

There is one I am currently observing. The soul is currently in the womb of Demeter after she had sex with a mortal man in Sparta. This soul already has a strong nature alignment, and the soul has the scent of the Naruto world.

What are the chances that that is Hashirama? Quite high, if you ask me. It doesn't matter, though. I won't approach any of the reincarnations with news that I know who they are. This is a new world, a new life, and a new start for all of us.

This might be my last reincarnation, even. Gods are already immortal and hard to truly kill permanently. So, no new reincarnations for me now.

In my past lives, I was just going through the motions. Fighting, fucking, living as I pleased. That won't change now, but I will try to be better. To be a protector of humanity, at least for those three little orphans in some place who looked at me like I could hold the sky if it started falling.

I walked into the room I had purposed for rituals. Drawing on my knowledge of the magics of the Nasuverse, I found what I was looking for. A way for humans to stand against the gods and protect them in times of great need.

The Throne of Heroes.

A metaphysical afterlife for people who are considered heroes, famous, or important to human history. A magical dimension controlled by Alaya.

I will make my own. It may take years for it to come to fruition, even with all the knowledge and power I have, but I will give it my all.

Humanity is going to need all the heroes they can get.
